    Thanks for listing some verbs. My dad has dementia and no longer speaks. I take him to see his chinese speaking doctors. Do you have a video on what the receptionist, nurse and doctor would say in cantonese ? For example, when I call to make an appt, what would I hear the receptionist say or ask in cantonese ? That way, I understand what they want. I just found your channel and will look through your videos. Thx

    I’m curious… Where is your dialect from? I noticed your pronunciation of “you” and “yesterday” was different from what I’m used to hearing.

    • @DopeCantonese
      @DopeCantonese  Год назад

      I guess you must hear lei/nei for you and kam jat/ cam jat for yesterday. They are both common. Cantonese Pronunciation |Lazy Pronunciation ruclips.net/video/mU_XWP6zeTE/видео.html

      Both gam1 maan1 and gam1 maan5 is quite common. There are some tone changes sometimes. Like there are a tone change , Zung1 man4 or zung1 man5 (Chinese). the book won't tell you😉

      that's the difference between Mandarin and Cantonese oral. The general structure of "give" should be like 畀bei2 sth (畀bei2) sb like the English order"give sth to sb" . When the something is long then we will add the second bei2 as the usage for preposition-畀bei2 A+B+C+D.. 畀bei2 sb
