Very accurate, only missing the part where you're constantly dumped into 9.7 uptier games with TURMs composing half of your team.

It's so good also if you run into other heavy tanks (which is pretty rare) you can bonk them with HE that's how I destroyed an IS7 in arcade using the object 279 HE
Good to know that we’re at the point where a heavy tank montage only features the tank bouncing two rounds from respectably sized guns.

Hilarious to see early MBTs and light tanks start sweating when their 300+mm pen APFSDS does no more than scratch your armor, right up until you send them to the gulag with an APHE shell with the ballistics of a 120mm railgun. Also fun to rip apart IFVs with the 14.5 when they think they're safe after destroying your cannon.
Cuz they're dumb and shoot the saucer part of the hull or the turret its actually easy to kill when u know where to shoot

279 is almost impossible to destroy with any bomb. Its shape is made specifically to deflect the blast wave.
So glad I grinded for this tank in the event, complete with the black camo

Only played a few games with this on 8.3 until it was uptiered but man was it a blast
But it sadly doesnt feel too good when uptiered because it gets penned by anything
i cry everyday bc i was without a pc during the craft event. i think the object 279 might be on the top 10 most expensive vehicles to buy on the gaijin store

I'm the kind of person who goes into a match with a BMP-2M and the OBJ279, and I swear the moon rover is AMAZING, even in uptier.
The shells are usually a one-shot kill if they pen the fighting compartment, they are PUNCHY, the gun is a treat to shoot with great ballistics and high velocity, and the 14.5 coax is also very fun.
Add to that a 10-second reload, good movility, NVDs, trolly armor that can soak up a hit or two, and a two-plane stabilizer?
Amazing purchase, glad I got it back then.
I think TAM and the recoilless R3 are the best way to deal with obj279s
TAM 2IP is the best heavy tank in the game. The Leopard A1A1 is a close second but the hull is weaker.

Alright I got this beast yesterday, had a few full downtier matches and the KD went like 42 kills with only three death lol after that they match making decided to say "hey you don't allow to have too much fun br0" and put me against 9.7 tanks like TURMS for 7 out of 10 matches, I mean it can one-shot TURMS through the lower front plate but the odds ain't good because the TURMS will always get to fire first. But remember when you see 7.7 or 8.0 tanks you can pretty much drive towards them and point and click to delete them, and you will bounce most of the shots because of this weirdo sloped armor design, and you will have 10 kills with 0 death and possible drop a nuke.
I got the AU-1 from the event and its static af. I have zero regrets on passing up the UFO for a bomb ground pounder.

I have it and it's definitely not OP, though is's still very solid. Sure, the cannon can one shot, but the aphe struggles to pen MBTs with composite and spaced armor. You also can't rely on the armor above 8.3 because the only strong part is the turret and the rest depends on the enemy being retarded or not.

You know,the 279 is suppose to survive a Nuclear Blast
Soooo bombs do sometimes no effect towards it
You have to Directly drop one on top for it to work properly or get bigger bombs.
Also I dont know what the the TAM 2IP even when I play my 279 are very lucky
By that I mean VERY LUCKY.
For a 130mm to not cut thro the paper thin armour and detonate is still a mistery.
The bane of my existence are tams, begleits and marder bouncing everything I throw at them
Problem with all these stupid German light tanks that the huge ass transmission is in the front eating all of the shots.
AGS is the worst one because it is so angled sometimes 3BM42 won't pen, or the transmission eats the shell, and the turret is unmanned ( yes I know AGS is American pls no correct)
And then you get rocketed by a Begleitpanzer or Flanked by a PUMA and the next thing you know is your barrel is gone, or the M3A3 Bradley TOW-2Bs your ass
It's because of a glitch that's been around ever since volumetric was added.

8.7 is the not great for that tank its not really bad their but anything over its worthless at least now it is before the sabo rework and volumetric I'd take it to 10.0+ and somehow nothing would pen me but now its eh great tank but should be 8.3 again in my opinion

I honestly think the vehicle odds should be higher on console accounts since they can’t use the market or transfer vehicle coupons if they do create a duplicate PC account.
