My dad had a 57 powerwagon when I was little. He used to work on the railroad and he found the truck on the side of the railroad. He managed to find the owner of the truck and yes it still ran pretty good. The whole family had a hand in getting that truck out of the bush. Anyways that is a very kool looking truck! I've always liked those old powerwagons. Tlhanks for sharing Scottie!
Scottie . Just wow! Absolutely amazing , that's the best wagon I've ever seen. Truly awesome , I'd love that to be my daily driver . Thankyou Scottie. Great find .
ScottieDTV is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get. Nice truck. It appears to have an extended cab, as well as, all the other modifications. Quite an example of engineering.
I looked on the legacy website and the sell these power wagons for around 210,000....if you have the money it's a small price to pay for a peice of history and an ICON.........beautiful truck!!!!
Sweet rig. My only gripe with it is the tire/wheel package. For some reason the aluminum does not do it for me on the old Power Wagons but to each his own & again...very sweet rig.
In fact I saw one locally at a Pennsylvania state park that they were refurbishing, and it had the pentastar logo on the lower front fenders just like the cars did back in the 70's
My opinion is that the first gen Powerwagon were the best/ beasts. Sure you could only get 45-50 MPH out of her, with the IL6 flat head, who cares. Love the flat fender Powerwagons, puts my '80 Clubcab Powerwagon to shame. But I see a thumb nail that you videoed Sgt Rock. Gotta check that one again, keep up the great work
Nice....when I was a kid Me, my brother and cousin drove and worked a 1947 military power wagon on my grandfathers farm/ranch. It had a winch on the front with the A-Frame kit mounted on the bumper. ......fast forward 30 years ...my brother was given the truck but not the property it was sitting on and did not retrieve it when the property sold......Arghhh!....fumes of anger were emanating from me and cousin for him not telling us in time. ------> woe is me :((
Once you take a vintage vehicle like that and do an "upgrade" of the suspension, motor, etc.. you no longer have a 1947 Power Wagon. You just have a vehicle that LOOKS like a Power Wagon.
@@ScottieDTV Modern reliability proves itself un-reliable more times than not. Just sayin. The truck was built "bullet proof". No need to butcher it into a look alike. And the fact that an all original '47 is FAR more sought after than these re-builds proves it 100%.
That's an awesome resto job. But where are you going to want to take it? The store, the gym, church! If you want real PW experience take a bone stock rig, it goes anywhere anytime and back again. They are a righteous truck by all means.
Those mid-40's Dodge power wagons were awesome! Legacy does a few different models going up to well over $250K . Remember years ago when you could get a sweet ride for 3K! lol

Agree. I would love to see stock rim in the same red body color.
This body style was used from the 40's up to the mid 70's, but only available for export, mainly in the oil fields of The Mid East

Cool!

+Jason Colacchia Cool!
+Jason Colacchia Jay had the President of Icon on his show. I didn't see the Icon logo on this one but I may be mistaken.
+ Jason Collachia....... thankyou for the info........ it's a great truck.
I'm in awe with that 47 power wagon.
Why don't they make power wagons like that again without overloading it with computers and sensors .
