Beautiful F-250! I had a 2012 F-250 6.7L PSD for almost 8 years and it ran great. I now have a 2023 F-350 and love it, but my favorite looking Super Duty is the 2011-2016 model years.
Look into CCV reroute, and a CP4 disaster kit. You can probably handle the install yourself and they are both super preventative. You got a nice truck 👍🏻
I got a 2015 Ext CAB cab & chassis with 35k miles for $2,600. Thought engine was blown, it was just a clogged CCV, got rid of that thing along with a few other unnecessary parts. Runs like a beast now.
I just bought a 2014 F350 6.7 and i only put a few thousand miles on it and the fuel pump went out and cost me 14,600 cash out out of pocket ...i changed the fuel filters and oil when i got it ...which weren't bad ...but the CP4 fuel pumps can go at any time ...mine at 89k miles ..and no contamination in the fuel ...ford dealership repair....get a S&S disaster prevention kit its 400 dollars and fairly easy to install compared to the whole fuel system
@@GarzaDiesel I love the color and interior of the king ranch buddy ..that's a nice truck ...I paid 40k for mine and you got a great deal for the price ....do the disaster prevention kit if you love your truck ...mine had no warranty and I waited too long and it really cost me
@@coltongarber8087 I appreciate your condolences. My dad and I had big plans together. He was a Heavduty Diesel mechanic and we wanted to build a shop together. Didn’t get the chance to learn more from him. Started as a Diesel Tech myself after school but had to switch jobs a few years in due to some health issues myself.
Nice price! Probably over paid a little but it's clean! Change all fluids. Run a quality fuel additive for lubricity to keep the fuel pump happy. And make sure you drain your water separator monthly.
Thanks for supporting the channel 👍🏼. Already did fresh oil change on engine. Definitely need to do the transmission and diffs next asap. Changed both fuel filters and will be replacing every other oil change.
good truck at a good price. i'd get it deleted and gone through. drain and fill all fluids if not done already, front hubs can be a problem as well. overall looks like an amazing pickup!
@@GarzaDiesel i used to have a 2002 7.3 PSD and it was the best truck i ever owned. maintenance and using quality fluids/diesel are key to a long running truck.. enjoy
I made a video with everything wrong with it. Had to replace brakes recently that wasn’t in video. Make sure it’s been maintained well because stuff add up quickly
Nice! Congrats Definitely better to have peace of mind with something new and under warranty. Especially when the cost of another engine would put me at the price of a new one 😬
Yes, some common complaints are window getting stuck open. My guess is previous owner just didn’t want to deal with it happening again so he installed single piece. Control switch have button for sliding window
Has new egr that was installed at about 140k miles so hopefully I don’t have any issues. Going to keep my idle time low to prevent system from clogging
Man.. I hate to say this.. but get ready do some research forums are filled with just issues. But the 2011 are plagued with turbo issues and glow plug issues. Mine dropped a glow plug at 127k and absolutely destroyed my turbo and engine. CHANGE THE GLOW PLUGS TO THE UPDATED VERSION. and swap the turbo. And mine was a later 2011 build btw.
Hey man, Sorry that happened to you. Thats what I worry about,I’ve read that too. Also seen that some believe it wasn’t so much the glow plug, but instead bad valves that cause the whole piston to get damaged causing engine to lock up. I’ve seen several engines that have locked up and it appears to be same issue passenger side.
I Honestly don’t know what to do about that, maybe previous owners did that repair. Most reports of failure happened at lower mileage. That’s why I’m hoping I got a good one or that previous owner did some repair. Because it has made it to 151k now. Definitely won’t be trying to get over 225k miles before I rebuild heads with new valves and replace rod bearings
@@GarzaDiesel for the turbo issues just swap to the newer turbo in the newer trucks and it will run fine the glow plugs dont happen to everyone but there are a ton of reports with 2011s having them but if it happens dont be surprised but like he said look into getting new glow plugs and turbo and watch your cp4 and keep up with maintenance and you'll be good.
Man my 2011 has 191k I’ve been the owner since 70k miles. The valve issues scared me awhile after all the miles I could care less about it. I did upgrade to the 15+ turbo and hpfp. Dude delete it. You’re in Texas, if you don’t put it through stress it will be worse on the emissions. Maintenance is the key, stay on top of it.
I like using car guru and comparing prices and condition. Trucks with accident report even tho clean title also sell a lot cheaper. Used truck price are high 😬
@@GarzaDiesel haha it did 100k/ 5year I just recently got mine too so I get your excitement lol, I’d recomend doing the delete that’s what I’m looking into right now if not for anything just the mpg alone is good . And I’m from Texas too man cheers
@@soursoul2303 Congratulations on your truck! My son and I would love to delete for sound alone. but carfax shows they replaced the egr cooler recently so I should be good for a while. And it’s crazy that if someone pulls you over and they want to give you a hard time they can give you a huge ticket. A mechanic in my area said they gave his buddy 3 years in jail for deleting a semi truck. I’m averaging 15mpg on stock emissions and haven’t even had to put def after 900 miles. Apparently 2011 use less def
A 6.7 with 150k is absolutely a good buy. Do your maintenance regularly and that truck will treat you well.
150,000 miles for a diesel truck is nothing. That is a 6.7 powerstroke, and should easily last you over 600,000 miles with no problem.
