Hey I’ve got a few questions I was wondering if you could answer for me. I just finished rebuilding my first John Deere model E 1 1/2 Hp. I got it running and I think it is running well but about the 4th time I started it, it blew out the igniter gasket. What would have caused this or was it just a bad gasket? Also, I seem to have lots of air and a little smoke coming out of the crank case. Is this normal or something I did wrong? Thanks!

Is the igniter wire solid or stranded?

Solid same size of wires in your house works best
