- Ronnie Bratschi updated his already Monstruous Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII for the 2019 Season and was one of the most dominant competitors in European Hillclimb Racing of the year. Now with over 700Hp from its 2.3L stroked 4G63 engine unit moving little over 1000Kg, improved aerodynamics and featuring wider bodywork, it is constantly fighting for Top Honours on the E1-3000+ Class and as fastest Overall Touring Car on all events it enters.
Here you can watch it on Oberhallau, Osnabruck and Wolsfeld, all events where it was the outright Fastest among Touring Car while also beating the All Time Records of both Osnabruck and Wolsfeld. A tremendous machine that saw its Season shortened to a major accident on Gurnigel Hillclimb. Now being rebuilt for 2020, it will come back even stronger. We can´t wait to see that...
Braking is well controlled on the latest meter and with no panic. It is not only the car that is good.

@@HillClimbMonsters whats with the black smoke ? At first i was thinking running ritch, but it makes no sense to run ritch when trying to make more power and also its a hill climb so less air up hill and if he was running the higher he gets he would be down on power alot up the hill
The two rules of racing I remember:
1.Hard in,fast out
2.On exit, only step on the gas when you're comfy with leaving your foot there

It´s up the very Top but we´ve posted some machines on the same league ;) Mid-8s wouldn´t surprise us probably...
@@HillClimbMonsters Yes there are a few others but most of them are a lot smaller IIRC. Like small or mini compacts or custom build chassis (like that thing that looked like an SLS but it was at like 2/3 scale or something). It takes a lot more to make a "big" evo that fast, which is why this is so impressive. Awesome!
Victor Tarhon-Onu that is a very astute observation 👍 Making a "proper" car with a conventional chassis this quick really is a more difficult achievement than the spaceframed little guys ;)

@@HillClimbMonsters The runs were so smooth and uneventful that it almost looks like he out for a Sunday drive. That speaks volumes for both the driver and the car setup.

I know that any other car is good for hill climb, but Mitsubishi Evo is already ahead
I don't know if this is possible for you, but I'd love to see yourself building a Hillclimber on a budget or something like that. You don't have to show your face. Just a thought.

Voiture avec un potentiel extraordinaire, mais alors le "préparateur ",à oublier.....très vite,à ce niveau faire ça (c'est mon métier) c'est une honte....,les points pilotés par régler, la gestion moteur un scandal ,du coup la bouture c'est un piège !!,quel dommage, mais un point positif, pour faire des économies, il peut toujours mettre un bidon à la sortie de l'échappement pour récupérer l'essence pas brûler, et oui il doit tourner à plus de 80 l au 100,en rallye certains "super préparateur "arrivaient à faire du 100 l au 100 km........tout un art........

Groupe B cars from 1985 way faster and only had 500hp hence why i think new cars are slower enen with more Hp...even the evo 5 with 300hp in wrc was about ad quick with Makinen
