From my experience (aka last night), when your dragon's hunger is 0/100 (and it's on wandering) it will slaughter any animal in the vicinity to get it's hunger back up. It's also scary cause then you go into panic mode cause you don't want it to fly off (lost 2 ice dragons this way and haven't seen them since #RIPAQUA #RIPSNOWBUTT)
