My family and I have a Mexican candy store down by kohls! We opened in July of 2023 and so far business has been phenomenal and we’ve received great feedback from the community who still shops here and the new comers! And yes THERE ARE NEW COMERS TO THE MALL! Although some big anchor stores may have left, there’s still shops you can visit and support! A small business is still a BUSINESS! Shop local!
I drove around Spring Hill yesterday and didn’t think that any businesses were in there other than Kohls and the movie theater. There were some cars parked by one entrance though. I guess we should have gone in. It looks pretty nice in your video.
Thanks for doing this. I had fully intended on a Black Friday special here, but ended up elsewhere instead only to discover that nothing ended up recording. Spencers and Claire's were two of the few remaining stores from opening day 1980. The GNC is now the last remaining original tenant although it isn't in the same spot as when the mall opened.
So sad to watch Spring Hill's decline, I really wonder how long it has left. Was busy for a dead mall today but there's not much of importance there anymore.

Sadly, I doubt Spring Hill survives beyond 2024 with West Dundee seeking redevelopment Not surprised Kohan made this mall harder and faster than it was with Brookfield owning it Although you can make the argument this mall was doomed no matter what with the rise of the Randall Rd retail corridor in Algonquin/Lake In The Hills within the last 20 years
Nice walk through. I guess this might be the last Christmas for the mall with the town probably wanting to move forward fast if they have the finances in place for redevelopment.
Here in Detroit and the City of Dearborn has bought the Fairlane Town Center Mall. Dearborn has plans for the Fairlane Town Center Mall . In,Sterling Heights and Sterling Heights has bought the Lakeside Mall and also has plans for The Lakeside Mall in 2024. Both of these Malls have opened in 1976. 1:28
What's funny is the mall is already struggling or starting to struggle before Kohan bought it and just like with any other Mall they ruined it more. Unbelievable how many stores have closed and only the last couple of years

I was just there 2 days ago. West Dundee bought Spring Hill for $7 million in October 2023 for redevelopment

The city of Dundee has announced that the mall will be closing on March 22nd. :'(
We were slammed busy at Farm and Fleet in Woodstock yesterday. Spring Hill used to be the mall in our area. Never seen it so empty. Sad!
