- I REFUSE to level up ANY OTHER WAY now that I've tried World of Warcraft Remix: Mists of Pandaria. Blizzard has (finally) done an amazing job of reviving Pandaria for alt leveling, revamped the core mechanics, added a lot of new fun into the game and I personally can't stop playing it - like in the good old days!

By at least not fully you mean, not at all. Not even a little bit. Nothing of the main cloak transfers to the alt cloak.
The literal only thing you can do to make an alt cloak stronger is have the achievement "Infinite Power" if you have all of them, your alt's cloaks will start with +100% exp, some mainstat and some stamina, and 0 on everything else.
That's it, that's all there is to it.

Again only the achievement "infinite power" up to "XII".
There is no retaining ANY power from your main cloak, at all.
again to explain it, when your alt gets a cloak, it gets bonus stats based on what the highest level of the infinite power achievement is that you got. The stats on your main cloak are irrelevant, it just checks "do you have infinite power XII? yes? ok you start with +x% exp and +x stats"
that's it. That's all there is to it.
there is vendor for rings/trinkets/necklace. I found in the alliance navy base in karasang wilds - had to do quests to enable the port.

You can increase the XP boost on your first character as well. After reaching level 25 make a group for the Normal Mogu'shan Vaults raid. Grab a bunch (2 tanks, 2 healers, 6 dps) of level 25-35 players (high level characters scale extremely poorly atm) and complete the whole raid (the difficulty level is of a normal mode **dungeon** in retail wow, except that the mobs/bosses die slightly longer). You'll get a guaranteed permanent boost of 12% per boss (72% for the whole raid clear). The best thing is that (normal) raids reset daily so you can clear the raid for two days in a row for a 144% XP boost.
To reiterate, I never raid in retail (except 2-3 LFR wing clears per season) and I had no problems assembling groups and running through the raid on multiple alts. So, don't get discouraged if you are a casual player.

Yeah the cloak is not shared across characters. It starts at best with 100% exp bonus. With all that in mind and an efficient leveling route you can get an alt to 70 in 7-8 hours.
On retail you can do it with less hassle in 6-7. And then your character isn't stuck in timerunning.
This is not *THE* way to level. It's actively worse than what we had. It's a fun game mode but it's not good for leveling alts
I disagree. I won't want to level new alts because it's same-same BORING AS HELL. I already have an army. Blizzard worked out a way to make EVEN ME want to level new ones. How is that no win? Don't be a Debbie-downer man, you know exactly what I'm saying.
@@GyrotexGaming But that's subjective, the micromanagement of the gems isn't exciting to a lot of people, and calling it "the best way" implied a metric of performance that is objectively incorrect.
It's fine to enjoy it, but to call it the best is incorrect.
I'll probably be shot down for this but, while I agree the sockets add something and it's great to see a lot of people in old zones, I've not found the first remix character much faster to level than the regular way. The main activity is questing and they are the same quests and if you're doing a few toons you don't have the option of timewalking other expansions. Just my 2c.
yeah it is in fact slower, so its great if you enjoy the novelty of the gems and their abilities. But the leveling process is much slower than on retail.
It used to be faster when blizzard advertised the cloak being account shared, but they changed it so that the cloak is per-character only. You can get an achievement that levels up the baseline of the cloak, but it caps out at +100% exp.
At that level, an alt would level slightly slower with severe minmaxing than a more laid back experience on retail. Which is kind of hillarious. Because on retail you just slap on your hierlooms and you grind it out. Which is faster than in MoP:Remix where you have to keep replacing your gems and gear and make sure you get lucky with the right ability gems, and even if all that goes right you're still going to be slower than retail.
So if you enjoy playing and leveling an alt in the event then that's fine, but other than that if you purely want to level alts for the sake of leveling alts, retail is better.

I'll still explore MOP Remix more so that I have the max number of alternatives since I level a ton of alts and the number only increases each expansion 🤣
Luckily I'll hit a wall semi soon amd THAT'S when i'll be levelling specific classes/specs etc on PTR for very specific reasons.

I AGREE that the first character is NOT much faster to level. My comments are on a BETTER (i.e. more fun) experience overall. Plus, for those with armies of alts (like me), this should be still the best way to level. That was my point.
Hello! Great video! I have some input for you regarding my concerns.
I HAVE been running a lot of dungeons with a friend on this MoP Remix. I love the concept so far, but I think there needs to be a reduction in loot boxes. I get so much loot that I am actually getting annoyed with how often I have to dump it out or open it. If the rate at which we got rewarded was slowed down, the game would feel more impactful with giving out loot.
Lastly.. The stats need to be adjusted! I got elite mobs in dungeons absolutely mauling me after I leveled up some (I am a Blood DK). If the scaling was adjusted better for enemy mobs, then this could be a top-tier experience for WoW. It just needs a little tuning!

The question I have, why are these boxes here. It's just normal looting with an extra step.
@nilsmafr technically they differ in that if you open them at a later level you get higher level gear. And so it's random what you get from each quest instead of set rewards.
But yeah, they aren't very user friendly.
It's true that there's A LOT of loot and the increments of getting an "upgraded" green are too frequent. But I'd rather have more than less. As you know, Blizzard swings the design pendulum from "feast" to "famine" and the other way (rarely). So I'd rather they left it as is than tinkered with it further.

100% agree, this is the best and only way to level new characters. So much fun. I hope they make this into WOW Seasons like Diablo 3 Seasons.

So far so good man, but people say the cloaks don't transfer to alts as advertised - which I'm yet to validate personally - but it's worrying if it is in fact the case.
The socketable items/gems are so fun. I love customizing and choosing the items that work for me.

Seems there is a cap on what transfers to the alt cloak.
Nothing transfers. There is an achievement that makes alt cloaks star with a baseline. But there is no shared progression at all. If you max out the achievement for the cloak you start with 100% bonus xp

I am 65 and I ONE-SHOT almost everything. So no idea what game you're playing man... (or maybe you've stayed in your starting ilevel 13 gear, I don't know... )

I agree 100%. I havent touched my low levels alts for years just because of the existing frictions. But with MoP remix, im about to pop 3 alts in the first couple of weeks.
Let's see if what the others are saying is true about the cloak not transferring bonuses to alts.... if so, what's the point then? I'm yet to confirm for myself

I actually don't mind that 70s are contained to Pandaria (for now). We'll be able to use them later for The War Within
@@GyrotexGaming anothe thing you can do the escalation achievenent to get a trinket that has 3 sockets. You just need to do 3 scenarios.
Legion is their best expansion lol. By miles. Legio remix would be insane. I hope they make WoD first because they can even include cut raids and allied races which is something missing in the pandaria remix. Imagine if they let us pick hozen hord and jinyu alliance?
I'd like Legion but I'm also in the Pandas were the best camp.

make another alt, its not that heavy. its capped heavily at 100% exp max and no secondary stats
the only thing you can do to make your cloak better is by doing the infinite power achievements. Any stats on your main cloak are irrelevant, they are not shared, the cloak isn't shared across characters at all. Blizzard bait and switched it.
It seems to cap at 100% around level 65. I've not seen any further increase yet. Hopefully by 70.
@GyrotexGaming outside of raids exp threads don't drop after level 65.
And again, the only thing that affects the starting value of an alt's cloak is an achievement chain called infinite power, which caps out at 100%
level has nothing to do with it, whatsoever.
This is why Remix is, ultimately, a fail. You heard it hear first, evidently. TWW will NOT be endless Remix. New players who are - like the poster - so totally in love with the system will come crashing, hard, to earth when introduced to "normal" WoW. The chase for new-new-new experiences is driving WoW over a cliff of its own devising.
Hear hear yeah... lol... New experiences are good. Experimenting is good for the game. Baiting people into thinking XP boost is transferrable is not.

Wow remix sucks IMO. Scaling is terrible. Infinite scaling and allowing people to abuse farming frogs. Poor choices, terribly slow levelling speed. Once I get the things I want I will not go back
Scaling is not good, but this doesn't make the whole remix terrible. I'm about to release a follow-up video with my further thoughts, so would welcome yours.
