@@scorpogee6280 Yeah thats the main issue with profs atm with this system. You are literally wasting ur time if you engage with it casually, its only worth it if you basically main profs like you would become a raider or a high level m+ player. My theory on this is they did this to encourage players to buy the token instead of engaging with professions. This is why i doubt any of the changes will make casual players come back to profs becuase the moment you do is the moment u are less reliant on buying the token like so many are right now.

      @grade14 5 часов назад

As a casual player, professions are currently your friend. They take a while to level overall, but it is not challenging to do so, just a little here a little there. With the changes in DF (and WW) crafting allows you to make items just as strong as items you can get in dungeons and raids. Each season the ilvl in M+/raid goes up and there is a new token you can earn by playing to upgrade your existing crafts to the new higher ilvl. Also, the difficulty of the crafts does not go up with season ilvl, so if you can craft an item in S1 you will be able to recraft that item is S3 to the new S3 ilvl without a problem.

IMO Engineering is a pain and isn’t a good profession for gold making in comparison to the others. To make 1 item you have to craft so many separate parts from so many mats. Not fun. Pick up blacksmithing or leather working. Those are guaranteed to make gold. Keep in mind, depending on what path you take, it may take some time for demand to catch up due to spark time gating. Tools and weapons are good sellers at the start and then armor pieces a few weeks later.

One thing I would like to see is that once you have the "first craft" bonus knowledge, you should get permanant skill points added for every craft going forward... not a lot, just maybe one point bonus for that piece/ item every time it's created. Say, for example and to use something simple, tailor's making bolts ... start out with level one but after so many crafts you automatically and slowly add bonus skill to making better bolts.

Simple as that. Crafting and Professions in general are dead until they solve that problem. I cant tell you how many messages I have received that agree with this sentiment, meaning, SADLY, that there are so may people who feel this way, they just dont understand the misery and the lack of participation in what used to be a really important part of the game they are creating by ignoring this very VERY important issue. @@DevesTechnet They Clearly they wanted most ppl to be ok using the CO system and getting inferior gear most of the time, and then for ppl to develop networks when they got good crafts. But they forgot that players haven't thought like that since vanilla and actually just see anything other then the top quality as trash, which the high resource cost for crafts further enforces and leads to ppl exclusively seeking on the top crafters in trade chat/top crafters advertising.
And whats funny is this whole system is clearly just a janky work around to them having an aversion to players selling crafted gear on the AH.
Also my tinfoil hat theory is they did this to kill the casual players dreams of making gold so to encourage him to buying a token.

Off to the right (not even in fine print but worse) they have tons of text saying nothing, then in a drastically lighter color text you can barely see they say you don't get any more items they say you do, like Trader Tender.
For them to not put an astrix(*) by the items you won't get implies you will get them and for them to hide the text, after they know thousands of people filed for help requesting items they didn't get, means they know it's an issue yet still hide it from customers. That's fraud and intentional.

Crafting Orders system had 2 biggest flaws:
    - public order with None/Some reagents - makes system overflown by scamers and almost unusable
    - public order can not request quality - which turns off people from it, and unless marketing is your passion you better don't start any crafting and stick to gathering.
Concetration is nice QoL, but not game changing compared to above issues.
NPC work orders are nice for leveling .. but unless those two above are not solved, there is no point leveling crafting profession, so it's like money sink game (leveling and mats are still more expensive, than what you got from NPC WO).

    2) Do professions have a bonus like in classic where for example an enchanter can enchant rings ? My focus will be on pvp so i'm wondering if i need to spend time on this outside of maybe goldmaking.

2)most of the professions dont have any benefits except for engineering for m+ players in dragonflight so it should be the same in TWW

Should be okay, issue I see is the ranks of materials isn't really a problem they needed to "fix" the issue is certain professions materials are significantly more difficult to get and others alot easier ie Alloys being super expensive only Leather working altered hides giving them a run for their money. Also specialized crafting tables like the alter of decay are a terrible concept if your going to do something like that don't tie it to a dungeon give us a quest instead that let's us add modifications to tables like a toxic vat attached to the lw and alch table, shadow flame anvil doesn't have to be for ever but you refill it with materials to keep it going kind like the super expensive cauldron that you could use instead of going to bracken

With the next expansion the DF cratfs will as irrelevant as previous expansions? If so wtf is the point? I have always thought they should allow us to unlock recipes as we do, but the materials required should dictate the level and usefulness of the created item. Like lets say I have an old recipe from classic, if I could use the updated Draganflight leathers and stuff that item would be DF level, if crafted with Wrath materials, it would be wrath level. you see what I am saying? or vice versa, maybe a new item could go backwards to a previous expac, but I could see that being more of a pain for Blizz. it would just be nice that all the work getting these things wasn't for not... i think I am making sense.

So another year in War Within of slow, slow grinding towards a goal that feels as distant as a mirage at the horizon of a desert would NOT be ideal. "The good news is that the profession system is mostly the same as Dragonflight" in an expansion that saw MOST people I know completely give up on professions, a LOT of people didn't even know how to put in work orders, and I was probably the only one in my (admittedly, small guild) that maxed both professions (skill/knowledge/equipment) on one toon anyway, and not only continued to make stuff for the guild vault (bags, enchant scrolls) but offered to do work orders (only a few people took me up on it because even THAT was too complicated). We had ONE guy on the server (who I suspect, bought a ton of gold and used it to fuel skilling/getting knowledge/equipment for his professions early - and I think that's ALL crafting professions on his various toons) that EVERYONE was asking for, but he's not on 24/7 and tends to take breaks from the game. When he's not on, I've seen people spam LF (whatever crafter) for quite awhile, just to get rework or good quality item done, because there just wasn't that many crafters hanging out.
And yes, a lot of MIN/MAXING friends have completely just stopped doing professions. I was crafting for a friend and he actually had to make a few items to GET 5 METTLE. He didn't run out - he never HAD any.
Maybe rather than having NPC work orders, have it so we don't rely on work orders to advance. I HATED that aspect. Throughout my gameplay in WoW, I've used professions mostly for myself, guild and friends. I didn't do it for gold, though now, with so FEW crafters, I've been making some gold (the tip varies a ton - some tip very little). NPC work orders just sound like waste of rather expansive mats (I've spent more gold on mats and on consumable this expansion than any other, even considering expansion inflation - I'm thinking this system was dreamed up partially by accounting, since people out there are probably buying tokens to afford some of this - I don't). I think work orders should simply be there as a convenience for people who need specific items. As I don't actually do professions to MAKE gold (but kind of have HAD to) this changes the way I do professions in a very negative way for me. It had been one of the most engaging things for me up through WoD (and then in late Shadowlands, minus the Legendary system which was, again a huge gold sink).
This won't make rank 1 or 2 more "popular." It will just frustrate people and maybe push people to buy tokens to afford the better items. They will settle for it but no one will be happy.

You're kidding right? DF crafting had been the largest gold sink of any expansion so far. Even at max crafting points (half way through season 2)and with rank 3 mats you are NOT guaranteed max crafts even with boosting potions. The difference between R2 & R3 crafts on high end items could be in the THOUSANDS of gold per item & yet costs the same amount for the mats, so if no R3 you lose big.
Also the biggest pet peeve is the crafting order system, people asking for crafts that can cost thousands and put in no mats & put in a stupid low commission. DF alchemy cost me over 1 million gold overall & no way to make it up unless I spent every waking moment farming for mats & not running keys/raid.

Currently on the beta, public orders require all mats to be supplied by the client. Big win! Alchemy isn’t a great gold maker. Any mass supply profession in Wow has super thin margins and you only make gold from multi craft procs over large volume. Pick up blacksmithing or leather working. Tools sell well early on. Weapon crafts are great the entire expansion. Armor crafting is good but early on you need to research what are going to be the BIS items and spec into that craft.
