    Win or not, gathering is all I'll do anymore after Blizz killed the fun of professions for me in DF. Might keep engineering for wormholes and the loot-a-rang, but DF and probably TWW professions can eat a bag of, I dunno, something bad.

  • @CanadiaTV

  • @kensmith-sl6yt

    Until Blizz bans bots quicker the material market will be rough. Blizz needs to double the materials needed for crafting or have a material sink.

    • @user-re7sm2hr9b
      @user-re7sm2hr9b 4 дня назад

      It's simply not possible to ban bot completly unless they create a kernel anticheate. And personally, I dont cate enough to want one.
      Wow is especially easy to bot because of its brain dead control. Tab target and simple movement. Even dragon flying is too simple which mean bots are everywhere.

    • @QuellAle
      @QuellAle 3 дня назад

      Ehm, to be fair, banning bots would lead to material scarcity and then inflation of the final product. I think it would damage the playerbase in the long run.

    • @Scuuurbs
      @Scuuurbs 3 дня назад

      @@QuellAlenot really. If Blizz could get rid of bots, we would see the market fluctuate for a bit, yeah, but then gathering would be profitable and more people would do it, which would drive the prices back down.
      Worst case scenario, if prices went up and nobody wanted to gather, Blizz has the ability to balance crafting to require fewer reagents, or cause harvest nodes to yield more mats, or hell, even design a way for gatherers to automate the process.
      Bots are never required. They are a parasite. Literal human scum.

    The thing that turned me off crating in DF is that blizzard dug in their heels and refused to do any sort of catchup mechanism for people who started late or wanted alts to craft. I get that initial crafters should be able to make a lot of gold early, no complaints there, but eventually others should be able to catch up. The fact that craft advancement is forever time-gated is just wrong imo.

  • @NovusGM
    @NovusGM 4 дня назад +1

    I will never have a single dual gatherer as that sucks big ass under the current professions system.
    I think, in TWW, the 2 major factors that will affect the price of mats (and therefore, everything) will be the drop rate distribution for each material rank (as you pointed at) and how crafters will value the concentration. That is their time since it accumulates over time at the same rate for everyone.
    So it will balance the cost of higher quality materials vs. the cost of concentration.

    My question to Blizzard about these crafting changes in DF/TWW is this: Why? Why complicate something that was already approachable and easy? Because you wanted people to know you played FF14? So we all have to suffer confusion? Theres 3 ranks of mats, 5 ranks of gear, but also you need max crest ilvl to max out ur gear, get a spark, but also the crafter has to be spec'd/geared properly. Who asked for any of this? All these crafting changes seem like a solution to Blizzards inability to make gear have a decent curve over the expansion. Wotlk at 80 was 200 ilvl in heroic blues all the way to 270 by the time it ended in the twilight raid. Meanwhile DF had like 3 expansions worth of ilvl in nearly 2 years. Get ready for another squish after TWW. Idk maybe IM the crazy one, but i thought the old system of obtaining new recipes each patch and crafting gear as an alternative gain until you get ur bis or maybe that crafted was ur bis, was a fine system.
    But hey, Blizzards special. If it aint broke, BREAK IT. And if its good, make it useless.

    • @SoulSoBreezy
      @SoulSoBreezy  4 дня назад

      This'll come off as antagonistic, but after about 2 years of this, if one still finds it to be complicated then at some point there's just an outright refusal to learn.

    • @BundyBro_
      @BundyBro_ 4 дня назад +3

      @@SoulSoBreezy Its not antagonistic, I think you misunderstand the context of complicated. Compared to what it used to be, it became complex. And at the beginning of DF you could spec incorrectly, is that going to be repeated in TWW. What is the purpose of these changes? Who does it benefit to have all these sources? Why do ranks of gear and potions exist? You think that Im thinking its complex to comprehend, but its not. Im simply questioning why add layers to a system that never needed it to begin with?
      edit: I should also add I was a max enchanter so I have experience with the system. Having 3 ranks of sophic devotion is pointless.

    • @bethanysolimine5428
      @bethanysolimine5428 3 дня назад +1

      @@BundyBro_ I don't get it. Besides, if you have a rank 5, then everyone wants rank 5. Everything else is practically useless, so why not just cut the bag bloat. We don't need 3 versions of every crafting reagent. It makes it worse to be a crafter. The way it was before was fine. The higher level stuff required higher level mats some only obtainable in dungeons and raids, but it was still obtainable. I hate micro managing every system of the game. That was the reason that I played this game in the first place.
      But that's what Blizzard does. They can't just fix things, they have to swing the pendulum to the other side.

    Until 3 hours of farming = a wow token... it will never be worth it in my eyes. Gathering is not fun, hard to justify doing it at all when I can buy a token with an hour of pay. Entire problem is that exact scenario. The price of a token dictates the entire market. They have an incentive not to make gathering worth your time so you A. Can't play for free for doing a 2-3 hour gathering session every month. B. Have gathering be not worth it so the already paying monthly subscriber will fork out more money for gold. Its a crooked system in a lot of ways. Currently an hour of gathering in game might net you 5-10k. An hour of irl converted to a token gets you 150-200k... clearly, if you have an extra hour worth of irl income, you're an absolute idiot if you give your time to gathering. I understand some people like the game play and its not about the gain/time ratio, but its so skewed towards just buying a token that it almost makes me feel taken advantage of.
