Solid review! I use the Trunite BSS V4 myself. Great light, it does heat up on you when you have it in high mode though. It also has a type of removable crown on it that can be used in a self defence / window punch type of role. Keep it up. Love the content.

Great review really useful. I use an Olight warrior mini 2 for hiking and camping but for my edc I use the Olight i3T a single aaa battery or the I3T plus which uses 2 aaa batteries.

With a 27mm large diameter, Im guessing the main body is 1" (25.4mm ) suitable for scope ring mount on a rifle for which the back button is perfectly situated for thumb operation or the sude button for finger operation. A feature not mentioned but useful anyway .

I just go with the good old tried and trusted Mini Maglite AA. Has High, low, flash, and SOS mode. Been using maglite from the mid 80's. Had a camo one once lost it on Senybridge training area.

Good subject. I use a petzl actik core 450 with a hybrid battery which is chargeable by a powerbank or it will take batteries too. It has 4 white lights settings up to 450 lumens and a red light mode and it is a head torch leaving your hands free. And aIso a petzl e+lite which is an emergency mini head light with white and red light. I have been using them for years.

The side pouch doesn't retain the flashlight solid. The holes at the bottom sides are large enough for the light to fall out.
Lastly if you pocket carry, don't forget to learn to use the lock mode so the light doesn't turn on in your pocket.

I can recommend Nightcore too. I had a Nightcore for years, an awesome piece of kit, sadly someone helped themselves to it 🤬 whilst my back was turned.

A solid review Tom. I’ve got various edc torches. Olight Warrior 3 and an older Klarus XTI-GT (which is the larger form factor of the two). They’ve got very similar functionality to the Thrunite you’ve reviewed. I’d need to cross check the battery life on both my main torches, but the torch you’ve reviewed does seem quite impressive. What’s the recharge time on the battery? Cheers.

I’m not sure tbh but it seems pretty quick.

@@PreparedPathfinder I do rate the Olight, however, as I’m sure you know they have a proprietary magnetic charging connector, rather than using a more generic USB C like the Klarus or Thrunite.

ThruNite make good quality kit. I use a Ti2 which is the size of one AAA battery, mega for the size!

Great little torch. It would be greater if it had a Red light mode, too. Bit better than my £4.99 Halfords 3 AAA LED, however, I’m not sure it’s as bright, tbh.
    All the best 👍🏾🇬🇧

Another solid review Tom. I've heard good things about Thrunite and Olight.I do like its size. I've been running an old Fenix LD something for years. 1 AA battery, came with a headband to use as a headlamp. I've even taken it down 4m underwater to check on something and it just keeps going.

I use a Fenix TK20R which is about similar in size and features. Have had it for years now and has never let me down. I also have a Fenix E01 on my key chain, which is quite bright for such a little torch.

    Great review, Brother !!!
I use the Olight Odin and Olight Warrior 3 (pre Sensor version).
At the house, I am still using the Fenix UC-40-UE (since it was gifted to me in either 2009 or 2010).
They fit my needs, whether as corporate security, nightclub security, personal protection detail (the Odin is a weapon-mountable light, but I used it as an edc for a while), etc.
Keep up the great work !!!

Regarding the TN12 Pro: Has anyone else noticed that when you use the double lockout (side button and tail btton ) feature, there is a significant amout of parasitic drain?
It doesn't seem to have a significant drain when using just the side button lockout feature alone.

As regular handheld, carry a Lumintop Tool AA v2.0 . Had for 3 years, got the kit version that came with a lithium 14500 battery with a micro USB port for charging, and can take a regular AA.
Recently picked up an Acebeam H16 which is an angle light/headlamp. Also has similar battery setup as the Lumintop, but the 14500 comes with a USB-C port.
