I hold my "Australian Alien" long sleeve shirt from when this album came out close almost more than anything else that I own. a band like nothing else that will ever exist.
Fear Factory comparison? Lol. These guys get weirdly compared to so many incomparable bands. And it’s because they’re incredibly unique. Very underrated. Trypsis is a true metal diamond!
So cool to think that My father was in this band, I’m never left alone because people see my last name and ask me a million questions, awesome stuff though
wish they would record more music together. they are missed by many. jar of kingdom is still in high rotation for me, even if the sound quality of that album wasnt the greatest.
Caught one of their plectrums a while back. Never heard of them before, but really enjoyed their show. That plectrum keeps getting worth more and more over time haha.
I feel this band was too Australian for the rest of the world. Not in a cringe bogan way. More a spirituality alien kinda way, just didn't sound like it could come from anywhere else, which doesnt fly with metalheads and how musically conservative they are regarding experimentation. I say this because our most successful metal bands have an international sound, they don't sound unique

Still need to listen to this song a lot of many times

They around waaay before ff bro ..true.
Sound nothing like Fear Factory. More like a heavier version of Tool.

@@brapamaldi they don’t really talk anymore but I’m told lots of stories about the touring days
@@Oliveoil93 thats a pity, together they really were something unique. well, let your dad know they are still loved and missed regardless.
Who's your dad?

There are so many people that clearly have no idea what they're missing.
Why has fucking no-one heard of Alchemist?
I've only recently gotten into them, but I can already safely say they kick a great deal of arse
First true metal I've ever heard I was 8 I'm 38 now.
Most underated band ever.
An all-time favourite of mine. Brilliant.
Been far too long since I listened to this band
Canberra after the fires-that's cool. australia is very metal
This is pretty much the greatest band ever!!

Nice song, interesting guitar sounds
best ever metal song!!!!!!!
You should try their album Spiritech too, it's amazing!
This is my second favourite song by Alchemist, Great Southern Wasteland being the first. Alchemist are SO AWESOME! There isn't a song I don't like.
Great song!
Guitar textures remind siouxsie and the banshees
great song, and finally a clip to match, great job rodney!!
I didn't make this clip. Our buddy Andy Hogan did!
I didn't make the clip ;)
great!
I made this video. Shot and edited it about 20 years ago. Such low tech and low resolution back in those days. oh well
Alchemist is beyond awesome. Can anyone recommend something similar?
The Levitation Hex is kinda a continuation of Alchemist. It features ex Alchemist and Alarum members
Valley of the sun
the wiggles on acid rerun
What a fucking tune !!

I don't know why RUclips recommended this song
*wow beautiful, came here due to the claimed fear factory influence. I know what they mean.*
Nice comparison

I gotta ask aswell, how is this not original?
Wow, this ain't bad actually. Where did these guys come from? Are they an overall strong band, or is this song a fluke?
This song is not a fluke. Suggest you use the search function...
This song is just to short
how is it unoriginal?
This songs reminds me a little bit of S.U.P.
