It's like Asahi is singing in Japanese because of his accent. Once they released Japanese version then I'll take this as anime OST.

I thought that too, it does sound like Japanese esp the part with high note.. and slow down beat.
Asahi once said he wanna make music where Kpop meets jpop and he did it so well here. Compare to Clap! Which he also composed, Clap! has reggae vibe in it (blended in so well🥹) while Thank you is obviously Jrock.
Hyunsuk did VolKno (with Ruto and Yoshi)as hip hop metal while Hold it in is totally opposite vibe. I’m amazed how far these kids can do in producing music. Doesn’t seems like a rookie PD at all.

Hold It In was written and mainly composed (with Rovin and Deep) by Hyunsuk. His lyrics are so beautiful. :')

Why do I feel like and it only hits me now that their next album will be talking about real heartbreak. Like what you guys mentioned, they opened up the album with hello but ended it with goodbye. Now we are waiting for the album of aftermath. Hmmmm, I think I'm ready to hear them singing sad sad songs and for a change it would be a change to release a ballad song for the repackaged album next year 🤭
