Best line 👍 Although I love all of the cod jazz rubbish “she blows a major second below to start out” 😀 Brilliantly acted and scripted. And the real musicians seem to enjoy it too
i have an injured leg and i genuinely hurt myself laughing at this as laughing pulls on the injured muscles and that! i'm going to watch it again and i will hurt myself again in doing so but it's so worth it ☺
I was cleaning my teeth, minding my own business, next thing for some reason this clip came into my head, toothpaste foam whatever all over mirror and sink, laughing head off, thank you jazz club.
this is the best jazz club from the fast show totally hilarious john thomsons face an absolute picture when he sarts playing.jackson geoffrey jackson a true legend!
I love the ending of this episode! During the credits it cuts back to Jazz Club where Jeff keeps playing his trumpet and finally he spits onto the floor!! XD That's how I remember it!
Agreed, the look on "Jackson jeffrey Jacksons" face as he walks off to go onstage just after saying "this is jazz" has me howling with laughter!! Genius
Was watching this sketch the other day on my dad's Fast Show box set, feckin hilarious!!! Series 3 Episode 1 , the rest of this particular episode is brilliant as well. Can't believe Paul Whitehouse is the same man that's done the recent Harry and Paul series. That's absoultely CHRONIC imo compared to this comedy gold from the 90's. Suppose though with all great sketch writers the class material eventually dries up.
I was 12-15 years old when the Fast Show was on TV and I didn't like the Jazz Club sketches then. Didn't find them funny. Yet somehow, 20+ years later I find it hilarious.
there were some lovely in jokes with this spoof. For example, naming jazz musicians after tube stations (in reference to the real jazz musician - Mornington Lockett I guess), so you had Stepney Green and Theydon Bois to start with.
“Tune?! This is Jazz!” Always cracks me up
Best line 👍

Ahhh, man. I remember the first time I saw this. My insides hurt from laughing so much. So great. This is sketch comedy at it's finest.
Almost stopped breathing when he started playing the trumpet. Come back to this clip every now and again when I need a good laugh :D

You just can’t beat British comedy Gold like ‘The Fast Show’.
I enjoyed it at the time and I must admit, I'm surprised at how well it's aged.

Taking the piss out of the avante garde freejazz stuff, the middle-class arty pretentiousness off Jazz is real turn off

I love how the one time Louie gets a real jazz musician on his show he's totally out of his depth
