Butcher ps4 Hard playthrough 100% Skulls

I collect all skulls on Hard difficulty, was a deathless run until the final boss of course who is incredibly cheap (1st death i missed a ledge and the boss flew into me, 2nd death was ultra cheap with the arm) but whatever. The only remaining thing I want to do in this game is playthrough Impossible for the final trophy/Platinum and then I can move on to a new game.

I realized while playing today that on Hard difficulty that the health meter only goes up to 100% but actually goes all the way up to 200%, had i noticed this during my speedrun I probably could've done it in several less tries as i wouldn't have died as much and wouldn't have avoided health pickups. I also figured out to do a shotgun jump to get the 2nd skull in World 1 Level 4 up the elevator shaft and that jumping into the saw is the sure way to get the saw jump skull on i think World 2 Level 4.

It's the E4m4 skulls I'm stuck on. However I'll get there eventually. Well done

@@Moth_of_Yuggoth Thanks! For E4M4, you're referring to the last stage before the final boss? Rocket jumping needs to be very precisely done in this game, you have to shoot straight down immediately after jumping to get the full lift. I've put thousands of hours into Quake games over the years so rocket jumping is 2nd nature to me lol. The endurance part at the end of the stage is tough though, have to really get used to where enemies will spawn and hope that your railgun doesn't miss on the big enemies. Also, the police car enemies suck!

@@drlight6677 Thanks, I've been practicing rocket jumps. On the first skull in e4m4 I don't even kill any enemies, I just sprint to the trap door before is shuts. With the second skull ugh.
I am on hard difficulty too. I must do harder, hardest and impossible runs for the platinum, and then the speed run trophies. 😢

@@Moth_of_Yuggoth The nice thing about the speedrun and tougher difficulties is that you don't need to worry about skulls at all on those. The speedrun trophy was definitely the toughest to do imo. When paying the tougher difficulties, the game autosaves after each stage you clear so you can keep trying each stage over and over.

How do you do the shotgun jump in world 1 level 4? I keep trying to do it but run out of ammo before I can get the skull.

Butcher is basically if Doom and Quake were blended together and made 2D, I was surprised how good the game was. It's a game that really deserves more attention =)
