This reminds me of my husband!
Dated ALL through college … we were that HBCU couple on our campus. Everyone was rooting for us… but we were known as us as a couple; not us as individuals. We were very codependent and it was unhealthy in some ways. We LOVED each other , but needed to grow separately…
Broke up 3 days after graduation…. went our own ways for about 6 months
Now we are married…
We really needed that time apart to discover who we were because we were so ENGULFED in each-other.
Also spending time with other people for less than 7 months showed us we didn’t want anyone but each other. It took time. We hurt each other in the process. Therapy, prayer and FORGIVENESS played a major part. But now, we are better than ever.
God is amazing. What He brings together, no man can tear apart. If it’s God ordained, it’ll happen. Thank y’all for sharing!

Y’all really encouraged me. I broke up with my gf a few months back because I wasn’t in a healthy place where I could give her the best version of me anymore. The thing is God showed me that she was my wife before we even met (crazy right?) and I don’t see a future for myself with anyone but her. We went through ups, downs, had some issues (some similar to your situation and a few different) but I still believe we’re God ordained. There’s days I wonder if I am wrong about it but this was confirmation to just keep trusting God and let things continue to play out. Thanks for this video. God bless.

Yep 11:00 that was me and my now hubby. Looonnggg story short: Met in 2000. Best friends for 3 years. Went separate ways for 7 years...7 years of a hot mess, but in that time we grew into the mates we needed to be for one another...ran back into each other 2009. Married 2010 been together ever since. I love this, this really shows that relationships aren't perfect and the process of it can be messy sometimes. I've heard from so many christians that you know its the right one when the relationship is right. It's comforting to know that I am not the only one who has gone through this.

I loved this. I’m going through a breakup right now and I’m just hoping that if we are meant to be then something will bring us back together. Our relationship was beautiful but it got rough and something was off. We talked about marriage, he has the ring and we were going to buy a home but things just blew up. @@kimberlymawi we got back together about a month ago and everything was going great but I don’t think it’s gonna workout honestly. We had a fight on Tuesday and it escalated Into a breakup. In order to make things work you have to actually try and I just wasn’t really seeing him put in the work for the relationship. He says he was and maybe he was giving it his all but it still wasn’t enough I guess. I think he just has things he needs to deal with before being in a relationship. Some healing. He’s not really able to give me love right now because he needs to give that to himself first. Fill up his cup before anything else and that type of thing. I love him with my whole heart and I hope we can work it out.

Love can be a whole lot...especially when you're under 30 trying to figure it out while also figuring out yourself as an individual....but in a lot of cases it's worth it. It's about knowing if you're genuinely ready, and then learning how to mix with another person. It's work sometimes, but it's worth it when you find the right person.

Beautiful love story, you guys worked through a lot to be together. I pray for a glorious marriage and family. I'm older than my husband by 11 years. We met when I was 41 & he was 30. I was so nervous about the age difference, but God has blessed our relationship so well. We have been happily together for 3 years and by the grace of God we will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary 12/12/21.
This is amazing. It’s so hard for me to meet men my age because they always think I’m 10 years younger than I am. Sometimes it feels like I’ll always have trouble finding someone because only younger guys approach me, if at all.

My husband and I have a 10 year age gap between us (I’m older). Like you Jess I too was hesitant to give him a chance because I was concerned about what other people would think. I still gave him a chance and let go of my concerns. Best decision ever!! We’ve been together for 3 years now and recently got married in August. As long as God is in it FOR REAL then can’t nothing separate it.
