How.. did you do that. I do shit like this myself, covering old tunes for fun but.. this is on another level. It sounds like the original even though you're using that MIX of instruments.. it's like this was always the soul of the music. This game was and is very dear to my heart, and every time I watch this, the nostalgia is so strong I get shivers.. I look like a shittin' goose every time, seriously pal. (lol just been watching ghostbusters so that's said in bill murray voice.. er.. of course). But it's more than that, it's an improvement on the nostalgia. I mean that comment below, you deserve more recognition? I DON'T GET why this only has 6.5k views at the time of commenting, it should have at least 100k. The rock sound you get is fuckin sexy, jesus wept. That is EXACTLY how it should sound.. ahhh. Amazing work sir. Amazing. Hope you're doing well in lockdown.. and if I have 1 request? Up to you of course, but the jurassic park game boy music would be AMAZING with this treatment, thought about doing it myself. But.. I think you'd do a much better job!!
Time cards 0:00 title 0:13 Green greens 0:45 boss time! 1:15 victory 1:24 castle lololol 1:56 floating islands 2:35 mint 3:04 bumpy clouds 3:43 Mt dedede your welcome ⊂((・▽・))⊃
Awesome! Truly great job I can see how you saw what the composer (I forget his name) was going for in the original 8bit stuff Also good job on the instrument collecting...
Oh man, I originally thought about making separate videos for each of these themes, but then decided on a big medley. (I made an exception for the finale, which got its own video) Maybe I will go back and make separate videos for some of them
That’s a good idea! Actually I’m already planning on making a full version of a tune that I didn’t even put in the medley...so we’ll see if I ever get to that one too
Whoa, you're right. Don't know why I didn't notice that earlier. My master WAV file sounds just fine, so I must have messed up somewhere when exporting the final video. Dang-it, oh well
Karl Jenkins hmm, I’m not familiar with 3, never played it. I might end up doing KDL2 cause I did play that!...I have such limited time that I would only work on music that I know and love ;)
But for reals, most of the time I record the audio first and then lip-sync the video afterwards (that’s why you don’t see a mic even though it sounds like everything is close-miced)
Cool cool, I’ll get more specific just in case you are interested. I record the audio through a Scarlett interface and mix it in Logic Pro. Video is my iPhone and edited in Premiere (previously Davinci resolve (which is free!!!)). I’m always learning new stuff and improving my setup. If I had a better studio/room, I would maybe record the instruments “live” with the video, but there is too much noise so I do them separately (you can hear every car that goes by lol)

Did you just thank yourself?!
Yes
Your feet never cease to amaze me.
Awesome! Truly great job I can see how you saw what the composer (I forget his name) was going for in the original 8bit stuff
Also good job on the instrument collecting...
All your stuff is great!
Another MASTAAPIECE
Man, I'd really love an extended version of the Bubbly Clouds theme (screw that, maybe the entire soundtrack too!).
Oh man, I originally thought about making separate videos for each of these themes, but then decided on a big medley. (I made an exception for the finale, which got its own video) Maybe I will go back and make separate videos for some of them
@@VanVlearMusic Aight, cool!
Bubbly Clouds is amazing and deserves its own video
@@Zuragin agreed
Please make more gaming themes covers! So freaking awesome!
Thanks! I have more game boy covers in the works...who knows if I’ll ever get around to finishing them :)
Absolute masterpiece
Love it.. I would like a 1 hour extended version of a midley like this, about Kirby games in GB, NES and SNES.
Still this is awsome
Love your music, a big hug from Venezuela! :D
1:30 Sounds like Frank Zappa!
Reminds me of the good old times

Oh my Andrew-Chan liked it
Does it count if I remember you but I'm not famous?
Those are some fast feet! I assumed you recorded that part at a slower tempo - I'm so glad you included that outro

Seels.
can you please make u full version of the bit from 0:45
it sounded like good alternative rock
That’s a good idea! Actually I’m already planning on making a full version of a tune that I didn’t even put in the medley...so we’ll see if I ever get to that one too
Is it me or is music "shifted" to right channel?
Whoa, you're right. Don't know why I didn't notice that earlier. My master WAV file sounds just fine, so I must have messed up somewhere when exporting the final video. Dang-it, oh well
Can you do Kirby's dream Land 3?
Karl Jenkins hmm, I’m not familiar with 3, never played it. I might end up doing KDL2 cause I did play that!...I have such limited time that I would only work on music that I know and love ;)
Ok :3
How do you record all of your instruments?
Magic
Andrew Van Vlear 👍 Nice
But for reals, most of the time I record the audio first and then lip-sync the video afterwards (that’s why you don’t see a mic even though it sounds like everything is close-miced)
Andrew Van Vlear That makes sense. Alright. I’ve just been trying to do something like this
Cool cool, I’ll get more specific just in case you are interested. I record the audio through a Scarlett interface and mix it in Logic Pro.
