This looks like a blast!
oh dan i was gonna ask you if it would be ok if i use some of your dead mall footage for a series i want to make
Dragon was the best, hands down.
It was such an honor to give my favorite vlogger a tour of our Escape Rooms. Thanks so much for coming and hanging out with me for the night Jacob!
Next time we visit we will have to give those a shot! I don’t recall these being open when you guys did the Krampus theme in 2019 when we went.
@@alyssacaseypollina4584 so the escape rooms are a separate business in the same building. We are open year round and have been here for about 6 years. You should definitely check us out next time you come around!
I have to try this place out omg! Will travel from sweden 🤩🤲
Andy this Escape Room is Amazing and so Creating. The doll concept and clowns were incredible. Loved this.
@@andyvieluf6377 Wait, you’re the guy in the video? That’s awesome considering that I recognize some of the animatronics and the paintings with the moving eyes there. They used to belong to this restaurant, called the Jekyll and Hyde club (the 6th avenue and the Times Square locations specifically) and Jacob has only been to the one in Greenwich Village when I have been to all 3 locations
That was "Hands Down" the BEST haunted walk through I have ever seen. Maybe a little over the top , but the production values are phenomenal. Hollywood quality sets that would look great in any movie., and unique animatronic's many of which appear to be custom built. This is stellar ..I really need to go for this Halloween.
Animatronics, darkness, compressed air and Jacob what’s not to love 😁
Shades of Spook-o-Rama at Coney Island. Not much will top Jacob's performance in that episode. I was crying I was laughing so hard.
The yelling while also describing why it is so terrifying was hilarious. I am LOVING this Route 66 trip. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see the transworld stuff!
The Transworld Stuff Is Also On You Tube.
You and those jump scares. I completely lost it at "AAAAAH HAHA EVERYTHING MOVES!" (4:30 mark roughly)
That giant animatronic doll was legitimately my nightmare realized into physical form and it fascinated me to witness
The dragon and the doll holding the lady was OFF THE CHAIN! So freaking cool! The large animatronic heads had me speechless
The Darkness deserves all the praise that it gets.
Like warts or pink eye, your 10 year-old boy enthusiasm for haunted attractions is almost infectious. I need to go wash my hands.
This haunted house is like EVERY animatronic from TransWorld ever all mashed in 1 place.
That’s exactly what I thought…this place really threw some major $ in to this!
That and some of the animatronics from The Jekyll and Hyde Club from NYC if you count the escape rooms
I love how this perfectly captures the horror ideas of what hell is, which is pretty much a nightmare realm instead of hell, I would love to go to this so much, lots of nostalgia, I miss having these kind of nightmares, I can't really have nightmares anymore tbh.
Well you can have mine! I hope you like endtime visions!
@@nataliesalcido6735 Just watch the news....
This is a haunted house not hell but that being said devil devil devil
@@thomjankowski3792 yeah. Trump is a hellish monster. Just watch fox for nightmares.
I know, I had some trippy ones, even as a kid it felt like I could control what happened sometimes, I think maybe it is another realm of some sort, but I think some mushrooms and a horror flick will do the trick for now. 🤣
Jacob I love going to the haunted houses with you. You are such fun company!!
I love that giant little girl doll holding that person. Creepy. Love u buddy be safe out there.
That was the creepiest of all
“ Ahhhhhhh he blew on me” I just love Jacob in any kind of haunt. Best scream I’ve ever heard. “Don’t chop me bro”. I’m done😂🤣😂
That place looks like a blast. I love how much attention they pay to the details. Two thumbs up for The Darkness.
Don't chomp me bro!!🤣🤣🤣
I love watching you get scared. You handle every bit like a champ and it’s always great hearing you laugh it off after the fact.
A neat haunted house! Generally there is a doctrine behind haunted houses, the idea of decor to distract, or animatronics to catch the eye in order for a pay off of fear. Usually utilizing scare actors and props to work off each other. But this was interesting because having no scare actors really seemed to have them throw what they had in animatronics. Which can easily fail as a haunted house. But with the large amount of them, and their quality, combined with the fact the rooms are designed so well you really get, what looks at a video level a great experience. I am going to have to go myself.
I believe they do in fact have actors during the regular season.
@@hauntsandamusements yes I heard that at the end but wrote this comment around the mini-golf part
That's one of the coolest mini golf's that I've ever seen. I'd love to play that one.
Jacobs screams after a jump scare are one of the most wonderful sounds
I’m starting a medication today that is likely to cause very painful side effects for the next three + months, so the timing of this video couldn’t be more perfect. Thank you for making my spooky loving heart happy. 🧡
I wish you the best
@@reese9030 Thank you 😊
This was the Very Best Haunted House Ever. It was Beyond Scary Nightmare.
I Loved Everything About this place That Mini Golf was Killer Awesome.
Thank you Jacob for one of the Best Ventures you have Shared yet another Great Video. Cheers
I own Ichabod's escape room in London Ontario. This escape room blew me away. I animatronics were super and I immediately booked a trip to see them. Thanks Carpetbagger I told them you were the reason.
Lol the excitement over the dragon😂💜💜
“Don’t chop me, bro” 😂😂😂
Bless you sir for bringing me Halloween in March.
The Darkness Haunted House gives me vibes of a haunted house hoarder. Someone who had disposable income and bought everything they could as shows like Transworld as well as throughout the year from the companies they met there but instead of just hoarding, they figured others would pay to see their kind of organized "museum" collection. This isn't a bad thing, just the vibes. The black light mini golf and their Escape Rooms seem like really amazing experiences, the kind I would really relish in. I hope your first day at Transworld was amazing and I look forward to what new insanity you discover and enjoy.
Exactly my same feelings of Darkness. No real theme . Just "Look what i got this year at Transworld! I'll just cram it over there.".
I agree, it's like the billionaire's haunted house! I find haunted houses are scary, but this place is terrifying on another level! Plus the escape rooms, mini golf, and attractions puts this place on a pedestal in terms of Halloween destinations!
The escape rooms had an incredible amount of detail!
I got to meet Jacob (AKA carpetbagger) today at the transworld haunt show. The nicest guy ever. He even let me take a picture with him. Such a great guy and love his videos! Thank you carpetbagger!! 🎃
Jacob, you are absolutely my most favorite person to watch going through haunted attractions!
I love this place. this is my favorite place you've been to, after Marvins Mechanical museum and Musée machinique
WOW!!! By far the GREATEST haunt you've ever shared with us!!! MAN that was INCREDIBLE!!! I always give you a Like, but when you got to the dragon I wanted to be sure I Liked the video and I already had...so DOUBLE LIKES on this one! Thanks, Jacob!!!
Dark houses/ haunted houses, coaster parks are my most favorite that you tour. Love to hear you scream on the coasters!🤭🤭🤭 The chili cook off is up there too!!
Carpetbagger…..your waaaay braver then me lol I wouldn’t go in there 😬
Jacob that was AWESOME!! Loved the dragon!! Thanks for sharing this adventure. Can't wait for tomorrow's vlog!
I need to go to this place!!! Omg it looks so amazing. My son was watching with me and he absolutely loves animatronics and how things work. He put this place on his bucket list lol Thank you Jacob for another immersive video experience.
This is an AWESOME place!! Such care for the details! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Loved everything. Animatronics were outstanding.
>inb4 AAAAAAAA COMPRESSED AIR!
I liked the parts where you said, "AHHHHH!!!"
xD
Best haunt ever!
I've been to the Darkness many times, but I've never had the chance to see the escape rooms. Thanks for sharing what's inside them all!
Jacob: Werewolves everywhere.
Me: There wolf...
Your genuine reactions in the haunt are great. Great content.
That escape room was filled with Animatronics from the Jekyll and Hyde club in New York! So cool to see they’re still being used!
Anyone who knocks this attraction based on a video has, obviously, never been there in person. The narrow focus of a lens forces the camera to miss the totally immersive 360 degree hyper-detailed sets and areas surrounding the over the top animatronics. Truly, the only way to experience the true greatness of The Darkness is to actually experience it, in person. Great video Jake, but this should only serve as a teaser. Go through it!
I wish I could go there but I live in Switzerland ... I love animatronics and I thought it was AMAZING, I can't then imagine what it looks like in real life ...
This one's very special, a large scale haunt with beautiful props and figures, many of whom were doing non-trivial animatronic stuff. i especially liked all the details on the figures. Never saw anything the likes of this before. Appreciate it very much Jacob! You are opening doors that normally stay shut for your audience. Sleep well, stay safe!
If I could like this a thousand times it still wouldn't be enough!
Good to see a haunted house that doesn't just have a bunch of badly dressed randos screaming at you the whole time. That place looks amazing!
Agreed. I get actors gotta get paid, and I heard him say there's like 60 roaming throughout in-season, but I like it this way -- mind-boggling enough w/o additional over-the-top chaos. Pretty cool place, this Darkness.
I love all of the creepy animatronics 💕
Trying to appreciate the sheer magnitude and detail of this place while being absolutely terrified at the same time. 😂
I went last night after watching your video several weeks ago. Wow, what a bummer. Groups were basically running through the place, shoving us from behind, pushing past us in the dark. So much for their timed entry… A few of their animatronics actually hit me in the face. If I wasn’t wearing a strap on my glasses, I’m pretty sure that they would have ended up trampled on the floor. Some cast members started taunting us with cattle prods and telling us to keep it moving. I was honestly just trying to enjoy the attraction, especially as a former haunted corn maze ghoul where I worked for years. At one point, my shoelace got stuck on a prop and I could barely figure out how to get loose. AndOF COURSE there was another cast member, yelling at me to keep moving. I AM STUCK, DUDE! It’s a miracle that I never managed to trip and fall. I attempted the 5 minute escape room, but it really wasn’t an escape room at all that they sent us into, and they had an equipment malfunction that made everything shut down right in the middle of it. We were just walking through this clown thing with no effects operating at all. After being rushed through everything, I was trying to check out the gift shop, but my friend decided they really just wanted us to leave because we were one of the last groups of the night - despite there being several groups of people playing video games. An employee said, “No! You are fine!” I told them that it is ridiculous to be charged nearly $70 to be rushed through a haunted house and then beg me to waste more money in their gift shop with all the time in the world to spare, and then we left. It was fun until we got harassed by staff. I understand timing for effects and cast members, but I shouldn’t be the one getting told off. The people shoving past us running through the place with SMALL CHILDREN should receive the brunt of it. It left a sour taste in my mouth. I’m wondering how much crap they are going to give us when we attempt to do mini golf and maybe an escape room today… I kind of don’t even want to give them more money. It’s just a bummer - I drove 5 hours to check this out. I wish I had just gone to Six Flags instead.
WOO HOO! I love all the haunted houses in the STL area. Truly was a great place to grow up as a spooky loving kid. THANK YOU, JACOB! Can't wait for transworld! Making me homesick :)
This has to be one of the greatest haunts youve been to! I loved it! I wish i was there to experience it. Thank u for sharing! Cant wait to see u at Transworld!🙂☘
Daaamn,...That haunted house was made with so much love!! Beautiful!
Glad to have you back in our great city! I also came to see how many people would comment about you calling it the north lol. Most people around here consider it the Midwest but a good portion consider it the south.
Wow that haunted house is so cool! So much creativity and effects!
That is the coolest mini-golf course ever!
Spooktacular!! Thanks Jacob!!👹
Ok, Stephanie here....you walking through the haunted house was great! Loved your reactions, I was literally laughing out loud! I'll have to make sure the other half of the Nerds sees this tonight, he will love it!
The first animatronic right off the bat is AMAZING so it lives up to the hype instantly! After watching more of the video, okay... This is the best animatronics I've seen and would rate it the highest possible. This place is terrifying, on another level!
Your reactions have made my day.
This looks amazing.the animtronics look awsome
Better you than me! I get sick when I get scared, I'm not a good person to have at one of these sites. Have a great day.
I've always wondered, on the average, how many walkthrough (or ride throughs) it usually takes for a video.
Id love to see u return for haunt season and actually do the escape rooms with boog or one of ur friends it be amazing
Yess i love the horror attractions please more !❤️❤️❤️
that giant head at 8:25 was INSANE i can't believe how well designed and freaky that prop was!!!! so cool omg
This is one of my favourite videos so far. The haunt is super cool, i totally love the animatronics and the escape rooms are...OMG, they are totally stunning!
Freaking love this walkthrough, holy cow there’s so much to see. I swear this is like my dream house, the work they put into all the rooms, being submersed into my favorite genre, thank you!!!!
I've been weighing all morning love your videos.
Wow Jacob!.That place is amazing and creepy as hell!.
This place has awesome animatronics. Love the werewolf and minotaur, and I may be a bit biased here but the dragon was amazing.
The dragon scene was one of the best
Wow!! This looks like a fantastic place to spend the afternoon!! the escape rooms look especially fun! Great video, thanks for sharing!!
Jacobs fever dream 😮 being a prize in a claw machine. 😅
20:45 I can hear Carnevil in the background! Such an underrated gem of an arcade game 😭
Nothing like pulling up on the arch at night.
You know, I've subscribed to your channel about a year ago, and I can say that your channel is getting better and better contents to watch.
Such spooky fun! Thanks Jacob
I really needed this today ☀️ Those animatronics were really creepy but very entertaining! The random huge doll sitting in the corner of the room was cool yet freaky 😅 loved the Medusa sculpture 🐍 thanks Jacob and best wishes ✨
absolutely incredible the settings are amazing so much detail and love the animatronics
You had me at mini golf!
Loved this video! Laughing so hard as you went through those haunted rooms! Your genuine reaction to everything was great!
This ride had him screaming often, great scare monsters and set ups in this cool looking horror walk through house.
Thank you Carpetbagger, great tour!! Awesome to get to see this!
I believe the werewolf you ID'd as "Teen Wolf" was actually Micheal Jackson's werewolf character from his classic 'Thriller' video. Still looks like the best haunted-attraction I've seen though! =)
I Have 1 Word For This Haunt...SPOOKY!!!👍😊
Jacob, need to come back around Halloween and do creepyworld as well. It’s great
This HAS to be the best Animatronic & Escape Rooms I've ever seen ! Thank You CB !
That is the best walk through I have seen yet.
What a amazing collection of animatronics. Most house have one or two big centerpiece ones ,they have endless amounts.
nice place for scary fun
Those animatronics are top notch! Makes them so scary.
His reactions to this was the absolute best part of this experience! 🤣
Now THAT'S A DISPLAY OF HORRIFIC WONDERS!! LOVE THIS SO MUCH!💀💀
Always love to hear you say “ No scares on stairs “ I can’t wait to see Trans World.
Hey Carpetbagger! What a super cool, fun looking place! I love your screams and facial expressions in the haunted places, lol! Great video! Can’t wait for the next one! 👍🏼
