I am rewatching this episode three years later as I just picked up the z50 1.8. ! You’re always my point of reference! Thanks for all your hard work Omar- Omar El Duro!!!
How refreshing. Love that you don't push all the "newest" and greatest and shame people for not buying the most expensive glass. I'll be watching more videos!
Not having any old Nikon glass, I opted to save a few bucks when I got my Z6 II and didn't get the FTZ. I have been really loving my z 50 1.8, z 105 2.8 macro and z 20mm 1.8. I really can't be happier....or could I. :D I have been debating getting a FTZ to try out some of the 'classic' old glass. For now....just living the Z life. Thanks for your continues wonderful content Omar!
I don't get why people don't like the new Z lenses (not all of them are S lenses, those are the premium lenses). I really like that they're not overstated or have all kind of weird writings and rings. They're not drawing any attention.
I have this lens and I completely love its sharpness. It’s so satisfying to see all the light going in at 1.8 🤩. There is nothing to complain about it and its totally worth the investment. I use it with my z6 and its just a beast.
I really like the way the older G lenses render. I have the 50 1.4G and the colors are superb. I cant match it with the Z lens, its more than a white balance difference. Skin tones are beautiful, and you can find them used for $225-250. Its downfall is the focus is terrible 8( But its still worth it. The 70-300 afp is a fantastic all around lens too. Focus is silent and fast.
You’re right-the 50mm g lens is amazing. I have it on my new Z fc (gorgeous camera!) and an 85 1.8 s on my z6 II, and for giggles, shot portraits with both kits simultaneously. And honestly, the photos are equally amazing, g and s lenses. I thought I’d sell the 50mm 1.8g eventually, but I might just keep it.
This video is a perfect illustration of the principle "sharpness is not everything" - the G-lens color rendition is so much better, so 3-dimensional, contrasts just awesome... when you compare tnem like that one by one this difference is really obvious
DUDE I literally dont watch any other video on photography except yours lol. Youre just so cool, i bought the nikon zii (from d750) Thanks to your channel. I am poor and do not have the money but i saved for it and worked hard to get it and i wish hope to make the same photos as you!
Nikon Z 50mm 1.2 is the absolute PINNACLE!!!!! Try it you will never look back!!! Incredible detail I low light bar none! Color rendition & the details into the shadows of the face present like no other!!!!
I liked the Nikon 50mm 1.8D more than the G version. The D version was noisy and slow-ish but the images it produced were amazing with character I liked. To bad I sold it for Fuji. The only regret of selling my Nikon stuff. Fuji is amazing with more different lenses.
Omar - you are a witty and entertaining fellow. I think you analysis was very good of the differences between the 50 1.8G and the 50 1.8 S lens and why one might choose on over the other. I would add a couple points: First, the 50 1.8 S lens is likely the best 50 1.8 lens made (by any manufacturer) for under 2-3K and it is around $500. It competes head to head with Zeiss lenses that are north of $3k, so if someone has the $500 for this lens, it is likely the best bang for the buck in lens purchases period - certainly one of the best. This takes nothing away from the 50 1.8 G if someone has it and likes it, and it was a good lens for its price point, but the 50 1.8 S is definitively the better lens in every way, so if someone can afford it they should get it. Secondly and this builds on the last point, the 50 1.8 S is hands down the better video lens. I know that you were reviewing based on still shooting only, and that is valid, but for those that want the most out of their Z cameras, video should be considered. In this case, the 50 1.8 S lens has virually silent AF whereas the 1.8 G lens is very noisy when it focuses (on video), and more importantly, the 50 1.8 S has NO focus breathing at all. It is truly astounding. The engineering that was put into this lens is staggering. It is the sharpest 50 1.8 I've seen, and the research confirms this comparing it to $3+K Zeiss lenses, it has incredible edge to edge sharpness - something that the G lenses cannot obtain due to the greater flange distance (still true on the FTZ adaptor), and finally zero focus breathing - compare this to Canon's new RF 50 1.8 - which is a great lens for stills and is inexpensive only $199 (to Canon's credit), but it focus breathes terribly making it a less than optimal choice for video. That all said, as you have pointed out, the FTZ adaptor is pretty amazing. I still use my 58 1.4 G lens and my 105 1.4 E lens with the FTZ adaptor and both of these lenses are actually better on the Z cameras than they ever were on the DSLR's. The IQ is equally good as it ever was, but now both lenses have focusing points across the frame allowing for better/easier composition acquisition, and they now have 3 axis image stabilization whereas before on the DSLR's they had none. I will likely never get rid of these lenses - I enjoy them more than ever now on the Z cameras than I did before native to DSLR. In particular the 105 1.4 E lens is a beast of a lens with a very special output that is not replicated in other lenses - it is probably the best portrait lens that Nikon has ever made next to the 200mm f/2 lens but that beast is over $5k. Given that own this lens, and based on your comments when holding it in this video, I am guessing that you feel the same way. I look forward to your video on the subject :) -B
Man I’m so happy to see you do Nikon reviews! I love your videos so much and you even persuaded me to go Fuji but that just didn’t feel right for me as a long time Nikon shooter. I’m probably going for a Z sometime soon.
Man I have a love hate relationship with the 50mm z 1.8s. It is sharp and the clarity is amazing. It’s almost too perfect. So perfect that when I use other glass I miss that sharpness. When I go “artsy “ with the voightlander 58mm f1.4 or the voightlander 40mm f1.4, although I LOVE the rendering of both those lenses I miss the crispiness of 50z. The 50z lacks a bit of character. I would never ditch it there is something about the lens I love and it spoils you even when I go artsy. 1st world problems lol. I did buy the ftz adapter with the 85mm f1.4g and wow. Great lens and the ftz is fantastic. It also sends exif data to the camera when I use the voightlander 58mm on it as well as allowing me to use in camera aperture adjustment. I’m digging it. I’m going to get some more g series glass. Next up is the 35mm f1.8g. I can’t see myself paying the premium for the 35mm z. It’s too big as well. Anyhow like you Omar I’m a Fuji shooter but have ventured into the z system and loving it. You’re so right about that grip. It’s awesome. First love is Fuji (I have the XT-3 and the gfx 50R) but for paid work I can see myself using mostly Nikon. So many awesome choices these days
I love my old 50mm f/1.8G, in fact, I think it's better in some ways than my new Canon RF 50mm f/1.8. The 50 1.8 is actually a good sports lens, indoor sports, basketball in a high school gym with weak lights, that is where a 50 1.8 shines for sports, volleyball too. That said, I was impressed by the improved sharpness from the S. Oh, let's talk about S. I think S is Nikon's Copy of putting a letter on their top-line lenses, kind of like like Canon put an L on their's to denote that. So, all the Nikon Z mount lenses are Z but only the best get that S designation. I always enjoy your videos, Omar.
Thanks Omar, I started sniffing my lenses and have to say Nikkor 55 micro smells quite nice. Also Pentacon 50 1.8 with Fuji adapter. Goes well with XT2 grip. Now I can`t decide!
4 years ago i started my XT20 (my first fuji system) journey with you (i am one of your first hundred subscribers). on the other hand, i am a nikon lover. pretty much of all i have was all invested in nikon from my D3s to nikon Z6, nice to know that i hit on the right channel!!
Personally I never really loved the look of Nikon's G lens designs but really love the understated clean design of the new Z glass. Also don't yell at me - I have two FTZ adapters. One is permanently bolted to my 85/1.4G and the other to the Sigma 35 ART. :)
As a lot of people tend to go mirrorless, I had lots of opportunities to get FX lenses. Got me a 24/1.4, 35/1.4, 50/1.4 and also a 105/1.4. All used and in very good condition. If my pictures are bad it's not because of the lenses ;-) For me the Z lenses are way too expensive, even the f1. 8 versions. If I ever get a Z9 I would still use those lenses with a FTZ2. And by the way: If I would need a job with a lightweight camera I'd take my Panasonic Gx9. Thx for showing this, Omar!
I love your energy and humor Omar! I have the 50mm 1.8g and I'm very happy with it and at some point soon (XMAS SALES) will be purchasing either 50mm S or 35mm S but am torn. I use 50mm focal length a lot more but do not have a 35mm prime. Keep up the great videos!!!!
I have the 50 1.8 G which I use all the time on my D850. Glad to hear that is works well on the Z system with the FTZ adapter. So I'll keep my little nifty fifty for when I go mirrorless.
I have both of these and the 50mm 1.8S is for certain on another level and has weather sealing. The old G lens is pretty great for the cheap price though, but I'd for sure pick the S if you have the money.
I have the old and the new...the new 50mm is insanely good. One of the things I don't like about the adapted lenses is the drop in MP when using adapted G lenses. The new 50mm is also soooo quiet! That quiet is really great for recording video as sometimes the lens focusing can be picked up by your mic (if not off camera). The 50mm S is definitely a fantastic lens. :)
Agree that the 50 focal length is super versatile and excellent pair with a 24 or any wide zoom vs. the 35/85 combo. Quite surprised how similar size of adapted 50/1.8G vs 50/1.8S, and the amount of wasted exterior space of Nikon Z glass, could have fitted a Fn button, Fn ring/aperture ring, and some extra hard points for grippage during lens swaps
Always fun to watch your videos! I'm using my 50 1.8G and 85 1.8G on my Z cameras MUCH more often than I used to on my DSLR's - I have IBIS to thank for that! They work just lovely and I'm not tempted to buy the Z versions at all.
I came from an Olympus system to the Nikon Z system. When I bought my Z5 I was offered the FTZ adapter for $99. I took it! I didn't know how well it would work, but I took the chance and am very pleased with the ZTF (especially since it has it's own tripod mount). When I bought the Z5 I got the 24-200 and 85mm f1.8 G. I then bought the 50mm f1.8 new (probably paid too much) and I love it! For my portraits it has been great. When walking around I carry it and my Tamron 17-35. Since they are both F mounts the adapter just stays on! Thanks for sharing, but you really should change the title to include the ZTF in the title! LOL! Till next time...
Hey out of the blue, loved your watch buddy. I think it’s Seiko. And Off course love your videos. Specifically the way you make it little funny way. My best regards for future videos. 😊
I had both and finally sold the G. I never used it much before, but I really love the S version. I am keeping my 85 G, a much better lens than the 50. I also kept and frequently use both the 35mm 1.4 and 24mm 1.4 Sigma Art lenses. I am happy to adapt any of those lenses on my Z bodies. Fantastic lenses to adapt
My first SLR was an Nikon back in late 90's. A Nikon... F60. Yes you read that right. The camera with a weird interface. So this month I saw an Nikon F80 selling with a couple of lens and I remembered I had a couple of TRI-X and a Couple of Ektachrome films on the fridge. Plus I went to a photography event where I meet a guy that just gave me a Fujifilm Superia 100 as a challenge to use it. I could not resist. I got the F80 and obviously, the 50mm 1.8 G. I didnt developed any roils yet, I'm still half way through an Ekta roll. But 90% of the photographs are done with this lens. Now... let me tell you how cool of an experience has been. Shooting with film has slowed down my decision process, and I'm looking at photographs are something different. Something that I wont be able to delete, or review in the back of the camera. I'm using expired film, so I dont know if will turn out ok, how tha colores will be, the grain, I dont even know if the camera is working properly until I develop that first roll. Still I'm not making any shortcuts. Taking my time to make sure that each click, clank, Zzzzzz counts. The 50mm is silent, quick to focus even on this older model, and from what I've so far, all reviews say the same. Its a pretty damn good lens. So let me throw back at you this challenge. You already have the lens. If you dont have a Nikon F series film camera, get one and do a roll. :) I'm sure you will have a blast and would make a really cool video :)
Either way you slice it, there is no advantage in going mirrorless as far as weight and compactness. The Z6II with the G lens and adapter is exactly the same weight as the D750 and the 50mm G lens (1026 grams). Give me the digital version (full frame) of the Nikon FE or FM with old-style compact lenses. I think that's what us hobbyists want (IMHO).
Just today made the jump to the 50mm Z! I had three "F" lenses, sold them on eBay and immediately bought the 50z from NIKON USA! It was on sale as a refurb for under $500! I watched this video months ago... never forgot what you said about the lens. Just an update...
I love your content and your entertaining presentation. You make me watch until the very end! I would love to move to Nikon's Z system, but for my needs (travel and vacation, portrait and landscape), my D780 and older G and D lenses still take far better pictures than I can. 😂 I am not sure that I really need more megapixels. I just need to practice more and move up when my skills warrant it. In the meantime, please continue making these educational and entertaining videos! Note: I do like weather sealing on the Z S-series lenses for travel.
Tried two 50 G, 1.8 & 1.4 on Z CameraS, yes 2 of of them. The 18 was very sharp and I like it better than numerous faster 50. Downside is AF “hunts” in low light indoors. Takes 1 to 2 sec to focus. They go to minimum, then infinity, then come back to focus. 40 2.8 S is bargain of the Century. Or get the Nikon Z.
Omar! This street photographer bit the bullet and got the z6ii. Your reviews really helped! However, I don't have but one lens that will autofocus, unfortunately. I have older D and G lenses. HOWEVER, my 50mm 1.8 D actually is beautiful if you turn on peak focusing and register your lens inside the menu. It actually is a whole new way of shooting and quite impressive! Taking it on a full spin this weekend. Now the problem is all these damn cameras! Dragging my Fuji x-t3 and the Nikon with me... let's see who shines. Thanks as always for your videos!
Excellent as usual. However for us old guys who are transitioning from DSLRs to Z, and who have a collection older glass, including the AF-S 50mm f1.4G, I would be interested to know how it fares in comparison to the Z mount 50mm f1.8.
Great and as always fun video and agree with your analysis Omar! Got the z 50 mm beside the small kit lens when I bought the Z5, soon before last christmas. I am really pleased with the lens performance, so far 👌👍🔝
The 50mm 1.8G is the best bang for the buck out there : way sharper than the 1.4G at 1.8-2.8, quick focus, sturdy and light weight. The Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art, HSM or the Tamron 45mm 1.8 VC are excellent alternatives too, not sure if they work with the FTZ2 adapter though
That 50mm 1.8S is an amazing value. It’s just as sharp as the $2k+ 50mm 1.2S. I own both and contemplating selling the 1.2 to buy a different focal length. The z6ii handles so well in low light I don’t think the 1.2 is required but that’s just my experience and the way I shoot.
Same here. Almost all of my D lenses are gone, just lovely non Ai, Ai and Ai-S lenses left to be used for the next decades. My only Autofocus lenses in use are the Fujinon/Haselblad HC lenses for the H system. Third system is Leica M with vintage Leitz glass.
So true..I use a 50mm 1.8 G with the z5 and rented out the 50 and 85 S lens. Literally no difference in picture quality between the 50 mm lenses unless you really zoom in... but the autofocus is spot on for 50mm S line when u click photos of your little one running around. The 50mm S version feels well stitched for the camera only for the autofocus situation other than the fact I already own the 50MM 1.8 G version, I didn't feel like getting the S counter part. But I found 85mm 1.8 S was a tad bit sharper in terms of image quality
Just sold ALL my Canon gear after 15yrs using it as a Pro, to buy Z kit, but also bought an old Voigtlander 50mm f1.5 which I am very excited to use with a Z7ii.
Yes, I'm a cheapskate! Fully admitting it proudly! Got a used D750 with a bunch of used lenses and loving it. Looked up the MTF of my F 50mm f/1.8 G, the Z 50mm f/1.8 S and the Z 40mm/2. Even that 40mm is better than my lens if the charts are to be taken at face value. So if I go Z (which might be in a year or so because I'm cheap) I might get that one.
Just love the results of the cheep lens and would take that over the new one, as it would enable me using older lenses would give me great results and more kit - green photography - recycle where you can snd save the pennies to print your favourite pics in a book or for a frame to hang on the wall . Loved the video
I’m a Nikon user/fan for ages, considering a Z5 or Z6. I also really like the size/images from the Z50 but I hate the plastic mount DX lenses for it. So if I decide APS-C over FF, I may just get a Fujifilm XT-2 for the superior crop sensor lens lineup. Great channel, thanks.
Are you switching to Nikon for your pro work? Not sure if you covered that in a different video. I try to watch all your stuff even if it's not a topic for me. Thank you for all your content.
The G 50 also has a lot of LoCA compared with the 50S. And that's very difficult to fix in post. Also the G lens isn't good for video unlike the 50S. The sharpness differences, and differences in colour contrast will be evident in prints. But The older lens is still a good lens and totally a viable transitional lens. If you like bokeh, if you like mojo, if you like portraiture, Omar, you owe yourself to try the 58mm f1.4G. That's a magical lens. Already a cult classic. I bet you my Z6 it will run rings around your Sigma for portraiture magic!
FWIW, the Nikkor AF-S 35mm f/1.8G does NOT have a plastic lens mount. I own one and am looking at it right now. The mount is typical Nikon chrome-plated brass.
Thanks!!! These were edited raws in LR. I apply the "Standard color profile" in LR, either the shadows up a bit. Then a curve adjustment. In the next Nikon video they are all edited raws.
I think it's important to remember the 50mm F/1.8 G was made for consumers when everyone wanted a DSLR because camera phones just couldn't compare to a "real" camera. The lens was made to be less expensive, and if you wanted better quality you would be the 50mm F/1.4 G instead. The 50mm F/1.8 S lens was made for professionals and enthusiasts who are willing to pay for the better quality lenses, so they increased the quality, added more elements and made the 50mm F/1.8 S a professional grade lens, and then made the 50mm F/1.2 S as the even more expensive/upgraded lens
I'm quite impressed with the colors out of this Nikon Z system. It's kind of muted with a filmic feeling but rich and vibrant colors at the same time. And I know the photos are processed at some level by you, but guessing very suttle adjustments here and there. So definitely there's something with Nikon Z and honestly it's making me thinking about to switch from my Fuji X-T2 ... Also because I make mostly landscape and sometimes I miss a little extra resolution (only 16mm 1.4 fulfil my expectations) I'm lucky that I also have other very expensive hobbies, and I want a new motorcycle and also a new bass guitar... That'll keep me committed to my X-T2 for a while. Damn! I should have been born rich...
Not sure I agree with you on this. The G lens is exceptional at mid apertures but at wider apertures it goes to the crapper, wide open is horrible. The new lens is exceptional at all apertures. This means when using the new one you have no limitations.
From what i’ve heard/read, it seems like every Z-mount lens released so far is pretty incredible.
Definitely incredible!
please be careful if you start sniffing the lens, you will start miss-focusing...
Ouch hahah
LOL!
😂😂😂😂😂
Hahahahaha
🤣👍
you really have to watch out with those plastic fumes

Sold my old 35mm and 50mm G's and bought myself the 50mm S. I also own the 85mm S and all I can say is that these new S-line lenses are amazing.
They ARE!!
Can I use these new s lenses on my nikon d5200??
@@bigbluerios Nope.
@@MMarin1983 cheapo lens I go then. In need of 85mm 1.8g and 50mm 1.8g for graduation pics . Let's see what happens. Thx for the response
@@bigbluerios F-mount lenses are by no means bad. You will get plenty of bang for the buck if you get those two.

Yeah, really has me in a comfortable place not wanting more. First time in a long time.
Try z 40 2 .

Thanks so much for your insight. Definitely enjoying learning what Nikon has to offer.

same here; I wasn't watching for awhile but glad to see this funny guy with informative reviews on the Nikon system.
you should get a Nikon' 50mm 1.2 AIS and adapted to the Z6, should be interesting.
Again sir, far more advanced than I! However, watching you always increases my general knowledge of the topic! Thank you!
Keep at it!!

Well said. Totally agree. For me it's the Sigma 50mm 1.4 art but it would've complicated this video.
50mm 1.8 should be great for indoor sports. I'm considering getting the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 for CrossFit/Olympic weightlifting/gym shots.
Thinking of going down the Z series route so this was really helpful as well as entertaining. Thanks.
Thanks Omar, I started sniffing my lenses and have to say Nikkor 55 micro smells quite nice. Also Pentacon 50 1.8 with Fuji adapter. Goes well with XT2 grip. Now I can`t decide!
Nikon's 55mm micros AI or AIS lenses are legends. Super sharp.
Great video, as always! Love my 50 1.8 S. Could have been a bit smaller, but the forthcoming 40 f2 will scratch that itch, especially on the Zfc.
4 years ago i started my XT20 (my first fuji system) journey with you (i am one of your first hundred subscribers). on the other hand, i am a nikon lover. pretty much of all i have was all invested in nikon from my D3s to nikon Z6, nice to know that i hit on the right channel!!
Nikon Z6 image quality is fantastic.
Watching this again as I'm on the cusp of laying down the credit card to purchase the S 50mm 1.8. Thanks again for your review.
I use it over the sigma now
Personally I never really loved the look of Nikon's G lens designs but really love the understated clean design of the new Z glass. Also don't yell at me - I have two FTZ adapters. One is permanently bolted to my 85/1.4G and the other to the Sigma 35 ART. :)
Haha...I may do the same. I was just joking...
As a lot of people tend to go mirrorless, I had lots of opportunities to get FX lenses. Got me a 24/1.4, 35/1.4, 50/1.4 and also a 105/1.4. All used and in very good condition. If my pictures are bad it's not because of the lenses ;-)
For me the Z lenses are way too expensive, even the f1.
Excellent guidance, as always. Thank you, Omar.
Thanks Omar, good fun as always. And yes I will keep talking to you when you use one of THOSE cameras! :-) Simon
What do you mean by the drop of MP ?
@@fthprodphoto-video5357 when you use a dx lens adapted with the FTZ on the Z6II you drop to like 10MP as I understand it.
Spot on again Omar. Having just bought a Z6 with the 24-70 and the FTZ. I’m in the market for a nifty-fifty. Thanks again for the advice and help!
I have the 50mm 1.8G lens and it’s given me lots of great shots. Definitely worth it as a first prime lens for its price. I still use it on my Z6.
Thanks for watching and sharing!!
Hey out of the blue, loved your watch buddy. I think it’s Seiko. And Off course love your videos. Specifically the way you make it little funny way. My best regards for future videos. 😊
I have a. Z6 and I put Leica M lenses and its amazing!!!!
Thanks for the great video, i adapt the 135 2.8 ais to the Nikon z6ii, and that film look from Nikon is amazing.
If you like character and film style , you’d be in a treat with 58 1.4 G . This lens is for people photo only
Just today made the jump to the 50mm Z!
I just love your cheerful attitude. Love to watch :-) Thanks for your videos!
I have both of these lenses (no FTZ adapter) and it’s the only lens I’ll probably ever get for the Z5. I love that lens! 👌🏼
Dude your entertaining to watch, I'm really enjoying your channel 👍
Awesome! The Z6ii files are incredible. You're going to love it. Focus peaking rules!! I like the yellow.
Excellent as usual. However for us old guys who are transitioning from DSLRs to Z, and who have a collection older glass, including the AF-S 50mm f1.4G, I would be interested to know how it fares in comparison to the Z mount 50mm f1.8.
Omar if you really are 50ish guy you need to try nikon 58mm 1.4G it is so amazing, Samhurd's fav too when he was using nikon.
Thanks Omar - Im a hybrid shooter - will I take a hit for video AF if I use the G lens.
Can’t wait to see the best lens ever!
Nikon 1.4E🤤 I like this one more then the Z!
4:24 that picture is something!
I'm so grateful I found your channel. Thanks🙏🏼
Spend the money, buy the 1.8s, it is Fantastic. Best lens you can buy period.
I've been using vintage manual focus lenses exclusively for a few years now. Try adapting some vintage Nikon lenses.
I thought this was vintage. 😉
Bought the 50 s. New favorite lens
You can’t beat the physics. DSLR vs Mirrorless is a fabulous GAS marketing initiative.
The FTZ2 is a miracle machine. I will likely just stay with my AF-S lenses. The 55-200mm VR has been given a new kease on life on my Z30
I love your humor. My wife is asking what I’m laughing at.
I have the 85mm 1.8 s, and love it, the only thing I hate it's has a round lens hood not a bayonet hood like the 50mm
Wondering if you tried the 50mm 1.8D or if it’s even possible.
Are you switching to Nikon for your pro work? Not sure if you covered that in a different video. I try to watch all your stuff even if it's not a topic for me. Thank you for all your content.
For all my pro portrait sessions yes. Not sure about receptions yet.
Nice video can you compare the 50mm 1.8s with the sigma 50mm 1.4 art?
The G 50 also has a lot of LoCA compared with the 50S. And that's very difficult to fix in post. Also the G lens isn't good for video unlike the 50S. The sharpness differences, and differences in colour contrast will be evident in prints. But The older lens is still a good lens and totally a viable transitional lens. If you like bokeh, if you like mojo, if you like portraiture, Omar, you owe yourself to try the 58mm f1.4G. That's a magical lens. Already a cult classic. I bet you my Z6 it will run rings around your Sigma for portraiture magic!
Nikon Lover reviews the 50mm 1.8G & S - awesome, Nikon Lover is watching...😄
I am really biased to a Nikon 50 mm Z mount since I don't have the G. But, what about the Viltrox? have you reviewed those?
"If you're looking at the shape of the bokeh, your pictures must not be interesting2. That comment alone earned you a subscription sir.
FWIW, the Nikkor AF-S 35mm f/1.8G does NOT have a plastic lens mount. I own one and am looking at it right now. The mount is typical Nikon chrome-plated brass.
that story about dx 35mm
Maaan, awesome pics! Which picture profile did u use? Or it’s with post editing? And which app do u use: lr or c1 for NEF-files?
Thanks!!! These were edited raws in LR. I apply the "Standard color profile" in LR, either the shadows up a bit. Then a curve adjustment. In the next Nikon video they are all edited raws.
Freakin' best review I can remember watching.
There's no pain changing lenses with the adapter... You just change the lens...
First! 👍
Lol
Your fast Friday’s with the Nikon system would also be welcome 👌😆
With all this Nikon coverage, I'm sending everyone your way.
@@ogonzilla hahaha!! 👍
This was was entertaining to watch
Buen Video Omar ! Gracias y felicitaciones .
To quote Attilio Ruffo: The AF-S 50/1.8 G is money!!
Okey. Now im gonna watch the rest of the video! 😇
Did I miss your street photography 105mm 1.4E video??
Good Video Broski 📹 👍🏾 👌🏾
Uhahuauhahua “Hipster looking photos” I am dying here
I'm quite impressed with the colors out of this Nikon Z system. Also because I make mostly landscape and sometimes I miss a little extra resolution (only 16mm 1.4 fulfil my expectations)
I'm lucky that I also have other very expensive hobbies, and I want a new motorcycle and also a new bass guitar... That'll keep me committed to my X-T2 for a while. Damn! I should have been born rich...
For landscapes, get the original Z7 used. Base ISO64 and 45MP. 😍
The Nikon jpeg processing does give a little bit of a film curve. Pretty cool.
Dude you have some issues, lol Thanks for the info , helpful vid as always just picked up a 50mm S for my Z6ii fantastic!
The good vr on my z9 gave my 50mm 1.8 g a whole new life.
Not sure I agree with you on this. The G lens is exceptional at mid apertures but at wider apertures it goes to the crapper, wide open is horrible. The new lens is exceptional at all apertures. This means when using the new one you have no limitations.
Thank you sir. I really need this information
I have the ftz and dslr 50 mm 1.8..debating if I sld get the z 50 mm to match my new z 6ii .I do alot protraits/lifestyle.
