This is the type of travel vlog that I love to see and hope to aspire with my future travel vlogs ♥️ I relate so much with being careful who you tell your goals to and whatnot. I went on my first solo trip to Ecuador last year and I didn’t tell anyone til 2 weeks before my trip. I only told my family just because I was having my brother take me to the airport and my parents just in case of emergency. That was the best decision I have ever made because it is so true with people projecting their fears onto you. I didn’t even tell my best friend until AFTER I came back even though she likes to travel and is free spirit but I knew she would tell people that we are mutuals with and they would have projected on me. I only spoke loosely with 2 people at work about traveling because one of them travels internationally every year with his family and the other person was interested in doing travel. Even they didn’t know where I was going until I got there 😂 But yes I only speak to people about my goals or things I’m planning with people that have already done it or is on the same path as me. Thank you for this video. El Salvador is on my list for my second solo trip. I’m subscribing and about to watch the rest of your videos 🫶🏾

I was inspired by other black women who went there solo so I took a chance! Living in NYC def makes traveling less scary though b/c I built up so much resilience living here. for other solo trips, I've done a couple more since and I'm posting Aruba next, I'm aiming to post it on Sunday. But solo I also visited Portugal (Porto and Azores), Turks and Caicos, London, Paris, and Madrid. I didn't vlog those though, I wish I had. Thank you so much for your comment and feedback! Now everything is very safe you know but the international news lies because that way they get a lot of views ... The country is progressing and people enjoy the tranquility at the same time we see how neighboring countries are immersed in insecurity ... Ahuachapán, the center of the city is very beautiful with good weather, surrounding hot springs and of course the small towns of Ataco and Apaneca... There are many beautiful natural places in that area.
@@BereniceAchille that's what I wanted to hear!!! How bad was the rainfall/winter?? Flights in june seem to be super affordable but the rainfall seems vicious.
@@primetimeprima8934 when it rained, it was only for 5-10 minutes or just over night. It really wasn't bad at all! I went end of June. Just take advantage of those sunny days :)

@@BereniceAchille yea my biggest question is what’s the best place to stay and how to get around. One guy was going to charge $150 for Las Rutas de las Flores and many natives thought that was way too much. The tour guides honestly left much to be desired.
If you're getting a fully private experience and tour then it may make sense actually depending on where you're going from but it's definitely a lot! I paid $90 for a round trip from San Salvador at the time (2021) and that was 2.5 hour drive each way and he took me to multiple stops along the way. Mine wasn't a guide though, he was a taxi driver I met who agreed to take me. I don't think you need an actual guide tbh.

I have been dying for going traveling, but I have postponed because am single, I really wanted to share the journey with someone special, but you just taught me a huge lesson, I will just have to do it on my own, maybe I find my better have in one of my travels.
