- This is my first crochet bag pattern tutorial. I hope you like it. It's very easy and fast to make even for absolute beginners.

What you need:
Yarn: For this pattern, I was using t-shirt yarn, you can also use bulky/chunky or super bulky/chunky yarn or any yarn you want
Crochet hook: 10 mm or N/15
You will also need scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle, chain strap bag, and 3 snap rings.
Abbreviations:
ch : chain
ss : slip stitch
sc : single crochet
blo : back loop only
sc2tog : join two single crochet together
sk : skip
st/sts : stitch / stitches
Notes:
Ch1 at the beginning of the round doesn't count as a stitch
If the number is written after the stitch ; sc2 work sc into next 2 stitch, if the number is written before the stitch ; 2sc, work 2 sc into the same stitch
Repeat what is written in the () as many times as it is written after the ()
Measurement : the final size of your bag depends on your yarn and your tension in crocheting, you can make it as you want by adding or reducing the foundation chains.

I did this with some slight modifications and it came out great! I wanted a bigger bag, so here are the changes.
Foundation chain 20, continue until R5 with just increase sc (instead of sc9, I had to do sc 18).
R5-R7 : Instead of 3 rounds, I did 8 rounds of sc across.
Continue with the rest of the project as mentioned.
When it comes to the strap of the bag, I did 4 sc before chaining 15. So that round would be 4sc, chain 15, sc at 16th stitch, sc 8, ch 15, 5 sc.
These are the modifications that worked for me, I hope this helps!

I love the bags you created! I made mine, but it turned out weird 😢 I think I made some mistakes when the video skipped some of the rows. 😢

I bought the pattern on Etsy and am so confused with the video. The pattern reads well but the video doesn’t match it says Rnd 4 is what rnd 3 says on the written pattern. And at 11:44 you don’t do a simple slip stitch, do you skip a stitch? Pulled the loop off the hook and inserted the back. If I just follow what the written pattern says will it work out?
@@natkobo of course, the video shows how to hide the seams better than slip stitch, you can always follow the pattern, the pattern has two sizes small and medium,the video only shows one size 😊 I hope this will help, you can contact me any time if you have any problems with pattern, I would love to help 😊😊😊

It depends on what size do you want to make actually, mine is about 300-500 grams of t-shirt yarn 😊

About 2 rolls of 250 grams T-shirt yarn 😊
T-shirt yarn is pretty stretchy. Do i need to pull it, or should it be done 'loosely' (without gaps, sure and stretching it out)

In my opinion, you just need to crochet as the way you used to 😊 just find the right crochet hook and yarn to find your size or gauge, lower your hand while crocheting and sit comfortably, you don't need to pull it hard 😊

Try to use bigger yarn, you can also add the foundation chains or add more round to get bigger base, I hope this will help 😊

You need 110-140 metres of yarn, but you can adjust the size according to your length of yarn, you can make the small one 😊

How do you make your starting chain so nice? It is so clean and stays so tight. I always have mine "open" no matter how i do it.
@@Tbonebby just keep practicing, so you get your consistency, don't pull too tight or too loose, the yarn I use is quite stretchy that helps me a lot 😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Is there a way to keep the yarn from twisting as you crochet?
You can make it, everytime you yarn over and pull up a loop as tidy as possible, and you can pull tight the yarn a little before working on it, i hope this will help 😊🙏🙏🙏🙏

About 500 grams of tshirt yarn, the ring is 2 cm, I bought them on marketplace in my country, you can find then on etsy, eBay,amazon or alibaba as well 😊

Actually it's a local T-shirt yarn with no brand, it's made of leftover cloth from convection factory waste 😊🙏
