    This is what you guys should be focusing on content wise. Filling in the Halo lore to those that haven't read the books. It's an awesome universe. And I've wanted that damn Eva like helmet from Ghosts of Onyx cover art in a Halo game since 3. Come ooon Halo 5.

    0:16 -"office" not "official" again at 0:52

    So many times-"Mjolnir" armor not "manure"
    2:25 -"secrecy" not "secretcy"
    2:28 -"detrimental" not "dentrimental"
    Many times- "Onyx" not "ohnyx"
    3:49 -"augmentations" not "augumentations"
    4:00 -"New Constantinople" not whatever the hell he said.
    4:37 -spartan "Emile" not "Emily"
    6:29 - team "gladius" not "glaydius"
    6:46 - "sentinel" not "sentenial"
    6:47 - manufacturing... He butchered it.
    7:50 - the p is silent in marine corps.

    Bringing up the spartan 3's again since Halo Reach actually makes me want an amazing game centered around them. Personally I would think a game focused around the Spartan 3 headhunters would be great. If you don't know what the headhunters are, they're elite (yes even more elite) spartan 3's, who work in teams of two, who has almost no contact with anyone else, and work specifically in deep covenant space. The headhunters were never expected to survive their missions. Imagine all the action of being in deep covenant space, and be literally one of the most elite members of the UNSC combat personal ever, even compared to some spartan II's, and the emotion of building a bond with your one and only partner, your only ally in the most hostile environment and the emotional loss of their death and yours (since you wouldn't be likely to survive). Honestly if you love Halo's universe and overall stories, the games seem completely disappointing now... I love master chief and all of the main characters found in the games, but the games never actually do anything interesting or involve the overall Halo universe like they honestly should. I know Halo Reach and ODST wasn't everyone's favorite games, but Halo really does need some spin off games just to actually dive deep into the branching story lines and rich universe.

    • @kingmiller9942
      @kingmiller9942 9 лет назад +8

      i would love a head hunter story line but my character i think should be customizalbe and basically be you like it was in reach

    • @hellseagle21
      @hellseagle21 9 лет назад +7

      King Miller Oh I loved that, it was pretty awesome to get some friends together, build certain characters with the armor and kind of roleplay them, and just have tons of fun doing it. For something like headhunters, it would have to be extremely personal and immerse you in the game as much as possible. I love seeing the chief as the playable avatar but there really is something special about having your own special character.

    • @SupaSpartanGaming
      @SupaSpartanGaming 9 лет назад +2

      the only reason i dislike halo: reach is because it doesn't add up to the actual timeline (things like the masterchief getting cortana a week or so before reach fell and him being awake on the pillar of autumn until they went to slipspace...and i though reach was a military fortress world...) i mean i know it's ridiculous but now i'm forced to believe that the game is in an alternate dimension.

      Something I think called the Shaw-Fujikawa Engine. It is named after the two scientists who collaborated to create it (the particulars of which I don't remember). They appear in the Legends short "Origins: Part 2" and there is a mural of the engine behind them, which also appeared on a Halo 3 DLC map (that I forgot the name of).
      That's all I got.

    God, you need to work on your pronunciation. Expendable, not expandable. Ackerson, not Anchorson or Ackertson. Mortality, not morality. Swelling, not swolling. Onyx, not Ownyx. Mjolnir (Yolnear), not manure. Augmentation, not occumentation. Sentinel, not centennial. Corps (cores) not corpse.

    • @truvc
      @truvc 9 лет назад +53

      Do you know that for a fact? It doesn't sound like he has any issue making those sounds, just that he has trouble reading the words. For example, he says manure about a dozen times in this video. But in another video he calls the map Coagulation "Colagation." He can definitely say the "u" in coagulation if he can say the "u" in manure. He just can't read long words and doesn't seem to bother checking his pronunciation at all.

    • @snakeeyesraw
      @snakeeyesraw 9 лет назад +5

      Travis Uribe It's the word itself that makes it hard for him to say it. Just because he can pronounce something in one word doesn't mean he can in another. The flow of the word can make a difference.

    • @truvc
      @truvc 9 лет назад +25

      People keep saying that, but does anyone know that for a fact? Does he have trouble reading the word, or does he really have a speech impediment? I like his narration otherwise, but the mispronunciations are pretty bothersome.

He knows this stuff really well, but when you hear him say "manure" instead of "mjolnir" twenty times it starts to seem like he just doesn't care anymore. To be honest the manure mispronunciation seems to be nearly deliberate - he is adding syllable in that one!

I must be doing something right if these well educated people have the same issue I do with people who can't make with the speaking of correct words. (Before the Internet does what it does best with that sentence I would like to clarify that it was an intentional choice of words)

    The powered assault armour is called Mjolnir, not ''Manure''. And it was never given to the Spartan IIIs. What Noble Team wore was the Mk.V Mjolnir prototype. The reason they wore it was not that they'd earned it, as so many suggest, the reason were that UNSC was field testing the Mk.V, intended for the Spartan IIs, with the less advanced Spartan IIIs, in case the prototype did not perform. That's why there was such diversity between Noble Team's suits, different configurations were being tested.

      +Lazaro Cortes Well if we're going to be specific and pendantic, Johnson was in the Orion Project. Halsey dubbed her Spartans "Spartan IIs" out of respect for the Orion project, there are no Spartan Is. Some soldiers in the Halo universe refer to the Orion candidates as Spartan Is, but they are nothing alike and the Spartan project is not based on the Orion project. As for your list, it is debatable.
      The Spartan IVs are def the weakest, however in the gen 2 Mjolnir they're pretty much evenly matched with the more heavily augmented Spartan IIs and IIIs. Without armour it actually goes Spartan III/Spartan II >>>>>>>>>Spartan IVs. Based on strenght in Mjolnir it's Spartan III > Spartan IV/Spartan II, the IIIs having a slight advantage to Spartan IIs due to advancement in augmentation. But the Spartan IIs are superior given that the candidates were chosen not only on strenght, but also on intellect and creativity which far exceeds that of the average soldier, which was even further augmented. I.E they're really, really smart.
      The only list that puts Orion and and Spartan IVs on top, is mental stability. The harsh training of the IIs made them prone to post traumatic stress, and the IIIs were revenge driven orphans, made into complete psychopaths due to certain new augmentations so mentally invasive, that the IIIs had to inject a drug regularly to supress aggression. Without it? Imagine Emile on bullshark testosterone(roid rage).

      Thornefield A speech impediment shouldn't change the fact that he said a COMPLETELY different word

    • @Thornefield
      @Thornefield 9 лет назад +1

      Dyslexia is a thing you know, reading something and either not making sense of what's read or reading something as a different but similar word. Couple a minor case of that and a small speech impediment and it's understandable. Office and Official are similar up to the c, with the larger (visibly) chunk of the two words similar.
      Everyone misreads a word when they're excited anyhow, and Chris really enjoys halo and it's lore from the sounds of these videos. Cut him a break, once he reads some of these comments he'll probably try to fix his pronunciation, but we get the gist of what he's saying. Cut him some slack.

    NOBLE team: Carter A259, Kat B320, Noble six B312, Emile A239, Jorge-052, and Jun A266. so most of noble team was from alpha company. and with Jun no one knows what happened because his last known location was en route to castle base with Dr. Halsey, before Fred, Kelly, Joshua arrived to protect the Super MAC generators.
    P.S if everyone is still wondering why Jorge is so goddamn tall is because he's a Spartan II not a Spartan III.

      Firestarter It makes sense if you want to mass produce cheaper armor like Gen2, but the Mjolir suits were said to be as expensive as an armada of tanks (probably over exaggerated but it still says something about the magnitude) so having fewer armor pieces just doesn't really make sense

'' then johnson tell him it's classified

    • @arturkim1378
      @arturkim1378 9 лет назад +1

      JamesDM4 Well he was immune to the Flood infection because he was a Spartan 1. Actually, I read on the Halo wiki that he detonated a crate of plasma grenades near him against Covies to save some Marines, and in doing so absorbed a lot of radiation which scrambled his nervous system. (IDK if that's scientifcally possible to survive that, but he did. Too bad they weren't gamma rays and he didn't become the Hulk.) The cover-up for his immunity was Boren's SYndrome, a fake disease, because Spartan 1s were supposed to be secret.

      Artur Kim bungie told what i just told you earlier, what you say happened in the book but in the end of halo 1, he literally blows with the halo. Bungie told they didn,t ment to bring him back, but when halo 1 came out, the game wasn't fully finished and johnson was a sidekick meant to die, but the community loved him so he didn't really die

    really good concept but i have a number of caveats.
    dude, come on. I realize you got a thing with talking, but would it kill you to do a couple takes and then put the best of them together? I do a bit of editing once in a while, i don't have a channel like you do, but i have sunk multiple tracks together across multiple takes.
    on a less annoyed note, could you cut back on jargon? I like the halo lore over all, but all the jargon kind of terns me off a little. If you have ever seen IGN's Halo in 5 minutes, that is the sort of tone that i think would work better. It makes it more accessible to people who aren't part of the hardcore fan base, MP Exclusive people.
    if you actually read it, could you reply, just because i don't know if you still read your comments due to the sheer number number of comments on all your videos.
