Just dropping by to say again that modders have added countless quality weaponry and vehicles reasonably easily (if you are good modder) all with dev quality custom sounds and custom effects many times now across MCC, for example the Sparrowhawk gunship into halo 3 from halo wars, the modder was or is actually a 343 dev and done this in his free time, Skaboodlydoodle, I recommend searching them on RUclips, amazing modder.

Making a new weapon takes more content creator hours than simply reskinning an old one. Reskinning a weapon lets them reuse the weapon's animations and sound effects and balance tunings, and someone specialized to making weapon models is probably not going to have those same skillsets in AAA, so if they ONLY have a weapon artist on the team then they aren't going to be able to do more than reskins

I wouldn’t count on that being a successful victory. Sony changed the tos again to “currently” not requiring psn. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do it again but the next time they do it will have gone through the legal process and everything would be legal . They still have the game unavailable to purchase in regions where psn is not available if I’m not mistaken .
it does really suck like I have been waiting for vip and firefight I mean a REAL firefight because I had so much fun in Mythic Warzone Firefight in Halo 5 it is a shame that the one in Infinite is just KOTH.

Infinite has some of the halo 5 req pack weapons leftover minus there effects and textures so at some point they were planning on adding those weapon variants

Yeah, played yesterday definitely had some WTF moments like hitting someone with a Plasma Coil only to watch them just shrugging it off also hit them TWICE with the Bandit.... STILL STANDING, then there STILL the "Wall issue" where shots are straight up BLOCKED by seemingly invisible barriers if you fire next to a wall

The weekly reward is just Spartan Points now, so I have no incentive to get online to check this week's reward, nor any real urgency to grind for it, because I can always earn SP later and get what I want eventually. I think each week they should have some spartan points PLUS a weekly reward to keep that incentive up. The weekly reward items could still turn up in the next exchange update, but each week you have a chance to earn it for free, rather than spend your SP on it later.
Halo 5 multiplayer was fucking incredible… had the GREATEST Husky Raid that the series had ever seen… the BIGGEST thing that ruined the multiplayer experience for their player base …was bundling playlists 🤦♂️
Sometimes I miss the days where you would buy a game like Crash Bandicoot 3 on the PS1 and didn’t have to worry about micro transactions for stuff that wouldn’t even get carried over to the next game. You bought the game, played everything in it, replayed it and so on. Yeah…those were the days…
The funny part is that they could easily make money and make the player base happy at the same time. For example, release the SAW gun for free into the game and at the same time sell a bunch of skins for it. It would generate hype and revenue
As I've seen others say, they could make new weapons, then make new skins for those weapons, which would make them arguably even more money than skins for the same old stuff.
The thing about these guns is that 343 probably has a lot of models lying around for guns they want to make, but without a sandbox director, none of those guns can be made. This is all they can do with them

The Echidna from H5 was awesome. I think they missed the mark with the variants from campaign/super fiesta by not incorporating skins like this for the variants.
Them adding more sandbox features does make them more money. A bigger sandbox means more players sticking around, which means there’s more of a chance of them buying something in the shop
I just dont think it would happen simply due to how much work it would take to set up and balance new weapons. Even one would take way too long to test in the current sandbox with their current team.

I know this is very off topic but I would love to see if 343 add this feature to make your own armor kits you don't have to sell them but just making one and naming it would be really fun and would add something for the players to do when waiting 5-10 minutes (if you are high sbm like some people) for a match.

I know this is unrelated to the video. But is there any way you could do like a how to use the shock rifle video? I play on MnK and that weapon works sometimes but other times not. I know you are supposed to track the enemy, I do that, but it doesnt seem like its changed my percentage of headshots. I will some times just flick to someone and the headshot kills, while other times they are half shields (I think) and other times no shields.
If you wanted to lose further hope in Halo as a Franchise, then look no further than the recent shutting down of Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks. Between this and the baffling decisions with Infinite's item shop, I have no hope for Halo's future. It's Joever, man. This is how the world ends.
if only they hired you as the lead brainstormer, we'd have such an amazing game that would be making them so much more money. The first gaming company to pull a move like that is going to kickstart a whole new era of amazing games.
It won't directly "bring in money," but neither will a diminishing population. Truly impactful additions to bring in more players/retain existing players paired with lower/reasonable shop prices would be much more lucrative than just selling overpriced cosmetics.
Let’s get realistic expectations, I highly doubt we would get our armor to cross over. The only game I can think of that recently is cod Mw 19 didn’t do that from 19-MW2 but they did it from MW2-MW3 but that’s just models equivalent to the armor kits but not individual pieces.
Halo post bungie is probably one of the most monumental devastations in gaming history. It is truly a tragedy how true halo fans after a decade still haven’t come close to feeling what we used to with halo 1- reach. Shit should be documentary because of how tragic it really is.
If the game feels fresh and fun, more people will play and they will play for longer. More people playing and having fun = more interest in buying cosmetics and season passes. New weapons, vehicles, maps, social features, and game modes (competitive, casual, and wacky) help keep the game feeling fresh and fun.
I just want the classic shotty back. Even if its just back as a power weapon. Honestly, classic shotty should have been the power weapon for small maps like Aquarius, Illusion and rotating out on streets.
Preach brother. I had so much hope and excitement for this game when it released thinking they would be adding so much new stuff like halo 5 but in comparison we have barely gotten any. What's crazy to me is that, for a live service game. Most of the major content added to the game was content that should've been at launch. Realistically all i can think they added that feels like it was bonus content was the few new maps, 2 Bandits and the new equipment. When you're charging $30 for a single cosmetic item it feels kinda fucking awkward they added basically fuck all.
*We literally have alternative versions of regular weapons in Campaign and certain gamemodes, you defenetly could make this skins into an alternative weapons tied to certain maps, 343.* If somebody from 343, preferably someone with a lot of will and power to push the changes, ever sees this video and my comment, PLEASE take this video's and my comment's suggestion about the weapons to ADD IT INTO THE GAME, especially for Forgers and Modders! If a Halo Infinite modder will see this, *please try to make it into a mod/custom map* , even if just for testing and fun!
Even if they aren't super balanced, just throw them into Husky Raid and a separate Quick Games selection that includes them, or include game modes that also have the silly weapons. I'd bet a hundred bucks that only 1/300 people would be mad by it.

Game has been out for roughly the same time 3 has been out when Reach dropped & still doesn’t have even half the content those games had at launch

I know this is unrelated to the video. But is there any way you could do like a how to use the shock rifle video? I play on MnK and that weapon works sometimes but other times not. I know you are supposed to track the enemy, I do that, but it doesnt seem like its changed my percentage of headshots. I will some times just flick to someone and the headshot kills, while other times they are half shields (I think) and other times no shields.
And a SAW so we could get ‘the Answer’ the absolute all time best weapon in capability and name😅
If you wanted to lose further hope in Halo as a Franchise, then look no further than the recent shutting down of Arkane Austin and Tango Gameworks. Between this and the baffling decisions with Infinite's item shop, I have no hope for Halo's future. It's Joever, man. This is how the world ends.

Putting a new weapon would make more money if they make skins for it or let up put charms and stuff on too
It won't directly "bring in money," but neither will a diminishing population. Truly impactful additions to bring in more players/retain existing players paired with lower/reasonable shop prices would be much more lucrative than just selling overpriced cosmetics.

Let’s get realistic expectations, I highly doubt we would get our armor to cross over. The only game I can think of that recently is cod Mw 19 didn’t do that from 19-MW2 but they did it from MW2-MW3 but that’s just models equivalent to the armor kits but not individual pieces.
Halo post bungie is probably one of the most monumental devastations in gaming history. It is truly a tragedy how true halo fans after a decade still haven’t come close to feeling what we used to with halo 1- reach. Shit should be documentary because of how tragic it really is.
If the game feels fresh and fun, more people will play and they will play for longer.
More people playing and having fun = more interest in buying cosmetics and season passes.
New weapons, vehicles, maps, social features, and game modes (competitive, casual, and wacky) help keep the game feeling fresh and fun.

I just want the classic shotty back. Even if its just back as a power weapon. Honestly, classic shotty should have been the power weapon for small maps like Aquarius, Illusion and rotating out on streets.

Preach brother. I had so much hope and excitement for this game when it released thinking they would be adding so much new stuff like halo 5 but in comparison we have barely gotten any. Like, it is not difficult to write a function to make an existing weapon behave differently, but we don't even get that. Its really pathetic tbh. I don't think they know what INFINITE means. Or i guess I just assumed it meant INFINITE POSSIBILITY, where they thought it meant it would print INFINITE MONEY by adding nothing but paywalled art to the game.

What's crazy to me is that, for a live service game. Most of the major content added to the game was content that should've been at launch. Realistically all i can think they added that feels like it was bonus content was the few new maps, 2 Bandits and the new equipment. When you're charging $30 for a single cosmetic item it feels kinda fucking awkward they added basically fuck all.

*We literally have alternative versions of regular weapons in Campaign and certain gamemodes, you defenetly could make this skins into an alternative weapons tied to certain maps, 343.*
If somebody from 343, preferably someone with a lot of will and power to push the changes, ever sees this video and my comment, PLEASE take this video's and my comment's suggestion about the weapons to ADD IT INTO THE GAME, especially for Forgers and Modders!
If a Halo Infinite modder will see this, *please try to make it into a mod/custom map* , even if just for testing and fun!
At this point, i just miss Halo 5 Ground War and REQ Packs. It's sad.
Even if they aren't super balanced, just throw them into Husky Raid and a separate Quick Games selection that includes them, or include game modes that also have the silly weapons. I'd bet a hundred bucks that only 1/300 people would be mad by it.
