Always heard about him, thought I'd watch something of him. He was my mom's cousin. Watched only to realize I'd heard a lot of it before from family members lol felt like I was at a family reunion. Thanks for the video.

I sobbed the day he died; he was the only reason I bought the newspaper. RIP Mr. Grizzard, your genius is sorely missed.

I went to see Lewis in about 1990 in Augusta Ga. I enjoyed it very much and I have a collection of his books. I remember praying for him hoping he would survive. I felt like I had lost a friend when he died.

I am 67 years old & remember Lewis' newspaper articles. He is the best! I have missed him terribly. I have recently discovered him on You Tube. Thanks to all the folks that share his shows. My heart feels joy when listening to him - basically he has alwa"ys been my #1. Does anyone know what year & where this particular video was filmed? Special thanks to "Mitchell"!

Wish he was still around today. He'd have a whole lot of new material to work with, and I'd love to hear him address it.

knowing how he ended up with his last book with that entire chapter devoted to spewing hate towards LGBTQIA people, i don't wanna imagine an alternate reality where he got a Twitter account

@efd316smokin4 dude he claimed that gay people deserved AIDS, that they brought it in themselves. That's pretty calloused, even by the standards of the times.
Tell me what the joke is, why I should be laughing at a disease ravaging disenfranchised communities.
