    I'm happy with mine so far. It handles thick grass better than I was expecting. The side discharge spreads the grass out evenly. Very light and maneuverable. I wouldn't want self propelled unless I was going up a wall.

    This is a beauty mower. I got it as steal of a deal. The lady i purchased it from said she got it as a replacement for an old warranty claim. Which took a good few months to get sorted so they went an bought a new mower anywayys. They gave me 2 5ah batteries an a fast charger. Owned it for 2 weeks now an ive had a great time using it. Once i make a few more bucks doing some landscaping ill be uograding to a bigger battery for sure.

    You may want to get the string trimmer that uses the same battery as well. I recently got one and I also bought the edger attachment to go with it that same day and I just used it the other day it worked great. I ordered a bush trimmer attachment for from Amazon and there's some other attachments are probably get l for it later on.there 18v pruning shears work great I used it on my pomegranate tree rose bush and some Jasmine bushes so far

    • @worldofsavants
      @worldofsavants  8 месяцев назад +1

      Did you get the brushed or brushless motor? The string trimmer is also great I love the fact you can buy attachments that work on it like the edger. I was also thinking of getting the edger but I might get the pole saw attachment first. I actually did happen to get the 40v string trimmer when I got the lawn mower and was planning to make a review video about it but I made 2 big mistakes. First mistake I made was I got the BRUSHED motor version. For some reason I thought it was brushless. So far the brushed Ryobi string trimmer has been working great the only problem is that they just released a cheaper and more powerful 40v brushed string trimmer 🤦‍♂️ and now it seems they have discontinued the model I just bought. So if I make a video it wont matter because you wont be able to buy it anymore. Which brings me to my second big mistake. If I would have just waited a few months I could have gotten a cheaper and more powerful string trimmer or upgraded to brushless motor since Ryobi also lowered the price on the brushless version of there 40v string trimmer 😩

    • @ncooper7757
      @ncooper7757 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@worldofsavants I got the brushless carbon fiber model kit it came with the battery at the fast charger 3-in-1 head set up so you can use the Stringer or a switch out to the hard plastic blades. The main big difference between your brush motor is it's going to be a bit louder you can still do videos with it like showing a different kind of attachments and how they work how easy it is to install them and take them off. I ordered on Amazon a bush trimmer adapter for the adjusted different angles. I'm probably going to end up getting the cultivator attachment for my garding. It works great so maneuverable very easy to use. More comfortable and fast do you use then turning the string trimmer on its sideways adjustment

    • @worldofsavants
      @worldofsavants  8 месяцев назад +1

      @ncooper7757 You are 100% correct on it being loud with the brushed motor in fact it’s even louder than the Ryobi 40v mower but it works well no complaints yet. Even with the brushed motor it has enough power and run time. My version came with the smaller slower charger and a 4ah battery. Luckily the mower came with the fast charger so I just use that. Good idea on the video I will be making one in the future maybe once I get a few attachments and I will also include in the video how to replace the string which is actually surprisingly fast and easy no need to remove anything! And yes I’m been using the trimmer on the sideway adjustment when edging. Haven’t mastered edging with the trimmer but being able to adjust the trimmer sideways makes it way easier than having to flip the trimmer upside down in order to edge the lawn. Overall so far it’s been working great👍

      @@worldofsavants you might want to look into there 18v pruning shears I used them to trim my pomegranate tree recently and some rose bushes it takes less time and it's way less tiring to use them when I first seen them they came out years ago I was like I don't think I need those but I recently broke the elbow in my right arm and I needed some way to do it with just one arm and night an hour and I use and I'm like oh my God these things are great I'm not getting tired and sweaty and hot like the old fashioned way

    Excellent intro to this machine. I bought one yesterday and I'm looking forward to using it once the grass dries out a bit (lots of spring rain in Ontario). My question concerns the rubber or plastic flap attached to the back of the mower. When you pull the machine backwards, how does it not get caught under the mower?

    • @worldofsavants
      @worldofsavants  8 месяцев назад

      Thanks Gregory for the comment same over here in California we also had good amount of rain in this spring. Regarding your question I didn’t notice the flap issue when I recorded this video it wasn’t until a few days ago I started to realize that the flap would get caught under the mower like you said. However for me what I noticed was that when I would store the mower in the upright position I wasn’t paying attention and I had the flap underneath the mower towards the deck which was causing all the weight of the mower to kind of warp the flap. What I started to do was when I stored the mower in the upright I make sure the flap is facing the handle bar so the weight of the mower doesn’t warp the flap the wrong way. After doing that I started to see a difference and the flap would not get caught under the mower when moving the mower backwards, but every once in a while at the lowest setting it still gets cought at times but when I push it forward it goes back to its normal position. I am curious to know if that issues has coused you any problems when mowing? For me it didn’t affect my mowing and I didn’t realize it because I usually mow with the bag on but I’m wondering if it’s causing you any cut quality problems or problems when pushing? Thanks for stopping by have a good one and MOW ON🌞🌱

      Good advice save the receipt however I’m not sure how registering a Ryobi product 2 years ago was like but now when you register on line they ask for a digital copy of the receipt and it saves it on the account if you do loose the receipt you should have a copy on line in your Ryobi account.

    Worse part about this mower is you cannot buy a replacement. Oh sure you can go to Home Depot and buy a blade that says fits Ryobi 20 inch 40 volt mower. Then you get home and try to install it. Guess what it does not fit. It is 20 inches long but the blade on your mower is nineteen and one half inches long. and the damn thing does not fit under the mower. I gave mine away and went to Lowers and bought a Kobalt mower. At least this is my experience. Yours may be different.

      Yes I have heard of issues with the self propelled versions of this model also the actual small motor powering the self propelled has caused problems with some users. I stayed away from self propelled for that same reason and got the push version but if you got self propelled it doesn’t matter you want it to work and not to have worry about it malfunctioning. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you can keep us posted and let us know how the service process goes.

    I have a new Toro lithium, it sucks, wheels fall off in 2nd hour, battery shorts, and on-line Toro will not take it back! They do not take back. Their rear left geared wheel unbolts itself from the bracket, it self destructs! Their repair dealer literally told me "with Toro, its Buyer Beware". I have a Toro case number, a BBB case number, and a US Consumer Product Safetry Commission number. Save yourself and learn from my mistake, and stay away from Toro.

      If it should brake down I will make sure to upload a video and let everyone know and I will also update on what the warranty process is like. The mower does come with a 5 year warranty. But I can’t imagine living in a World of Ifs nothing would ever get done🤯 You do and try things and if things happen you address them. So far it’s mowing no problems but if that changes at any point rest assured the World of Savants will know about it🫡
