Wassup brother, ik all the comments are saying hold shift when cutting but you are 💀 the reason your cuts aren't accurate is cause you have the option "z-cross" enabled. it's the lil box right beside where it says stretch on the top left corner of the playlist window. hope this helps!

i think if you want the cut tool to be accurate you have to zoom in all the way or press the magnet tool and turn it to none.
also fl has a backup folder idk if you know so you did have a chance to get back the first beat if you wanted.
