Cracking video Dave you always seem to get the good weather fair play. Loved the drone shots 🙌

Thanks Adrian mate,,, yea it's a load of weather watching chum. I was so happy to get the drone up all the other times you couldn't see 30 feet in front of you and the winds where to wild so I was so chuffed. Finally got that view mate. 👍

@@HikingandcampingwithAdrianmate I hate when that happens, I've been seriously thinking about getting a heavier drone like a dji air3s for days like that but it's a fortune. Never know Santa might be good to me 😂😂😂😂. Na maybe next year never know pal. Take care mate and stay safe 👍

Alright chum, yes the views where brilliant, every other time up Slieve Martin was a disaster 🤣 I'd been to kodak and meen and Ben and even seen them from the other side, from slieve Foye just never from Martin but they say Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm, you just go and grab the day and hope for the best mate. Take care chum 👍

I tried to find a shortcut through the forest but the trail ended in a dead end and had to cut back to the carpark...took the route up by the big stone then turned off the trail to a viewpoint over the lough and continued up over Slieve Meen then onto the trig point on Slieve Martin. Followed your route down past the big stone...noticed Kodak corner on the map but didn't have time to go there... walked 4.65 miles in total, very tough up the steepest part.
Is there an advantage to using sport mode in windy weather? I keep my drone in cinematic mode at all times...can I change from one to the other even during a flight...I have the DJIMini 3.
And the Relive app you use...does it make the animated route video automatically or do you have to do that in editing?
Glad I didn't meet any cows...would've made a long detour away from them if I did 😂

Hi David, yea you just did the opposite way to me. I find in sport mode on a flight out and the wind behind me it will get me to my point faster, on a Rth the drone will ignore any mode you have it in and should return at 30m per second and all obstacle avoidance should turn back on, not sure if you are aware that on sports mode all sensors are off so be careful flying near anything around the drone as brake and bypass are not turned on. You will be able to switch between C, N ans Sport mode in flight as long as the Rc is connected to the drone. I have the pro version and that's how I find it David. If you need a more professional opinion check out this RUclips channel he is very knowledgeable on dji it's @MK-Creator if you need to find out more chum he's my go to guy. So relive does record the route you take and time distance and height automatically, taking photos along the way will record too, I just edit out the photos and put my own videos in. Hope this helped buddy take care and thanks for watching and you constant support.

Well done, David, another mountain done, great drone shots, and great views across Carlingford Lough. You look like you are getting fitter. I thought it was nice to see some new gravel paths,, we need more of those in the Mournes. Regards, Ashley

Yes chum I got the view at last, just wanted a sunny day mate and not getting the head blown of me. Ashley the gravel paths are fantastic I think that's why there is a £5 entrance fee now but it's worth ever brown penny, sure what would £5 get you nowadays mate and it's all day. Yea when I say all day there is a barrier that is closed at night I'd check that one out before going to the top carpark just to be on the safe side.
