Imo Mick Mars should be in the top 25 guitarist of all time...He showed us how to properly use a Floyd Rose and the sounds he can make...to be honest he's the Jimmy Hendrix of today music the sounds he can make...
Umm.....ok. The guy replacing him might earn that title, John 5 but Mick is just a standard Blues Rock guitar player filtered through the 80s sunset Strip Nothing special, great player but doing nothing new or groundbreaking. You had Eddie Van Halen come out of the same scene a few years earlier and he is what I would call Hendrix worthy , in fact I think he destroyed Hendrix in breaking new ground. You had guys like George Lynch , Randy Rhoads , Warren DeMartni , Vito Bratta who run circles around Mick on a technical level . Like I said, Mick is great and to me is the sound of Motley Crue with Vince's voice , but there is a good reason he isn't talked about as " one of the greatest" cause he wasn't. But when it comes to tone , consistency and attitude he is right up there.
@@andysalter7192 I'm not an expert in guitars, but I think this is the best explanation I've heard, thanks. I love Mick and I don't think Mötley would've made it without him. He's probably not the best, and neither is Vince or Nikki. However, as a whole, even with Tommy. IMO #1 band of my era for sure. Even if they suck at this and that. They're great entertainment. And, that’s why I love their style of music. Not because of how technically good they are, I could care less. ✌🤘
I honestly think Vince doesn't have a choice. He went straight from the so-called "final" MC tour to touring with his solo band and playing Crue songs because he was in the worst financial shape of all of them. I love the Crue, have since about '87 or so, but even I know the chance to see them in their prime was over 30 years ago. I passed on this tour because the tickets were ridiculously priced and I had already seen Def Leppard and Poison multiple times each.
@@dja-train2265 I'm pretty sure he's got enough pennies & food stamps monthly to get by. His recently SOLD 20 acre pad outside of Franklin, TN put $6.5 million in his pocket.
@@PortlandSucksss I'll go out on a limb and guess I've seen them maybe 1 or 2 more times than you, lol. First time was on May 9th of 1984, that was a wallet draining $10 & Saxon opened for them. Looks like Vince lost a little weight and his voice sounds much better, give them credit for still rockin' after all these years. If you expect them to sound like they did 30 plus years ago you clearly have your expectations set a bit too hight.
@@kdubb859 are you basing that off a fan shot RUclips video through a phone? Go to the tour dumbass. Vince is working his ass off and singing as well as he has since 2005. I was at this show, he sounded like shit, poison rocked it. $400 a ticket I expected them to be better than what they were. 2 an a half years to practice they should have been better
OMG... Why coming back after retirement? Almost everything was bad here... Kudos to the girls though, they have plenty more energy than the band members
Yes but how many albums would you say you have bought in last couple of years? In 70's and 80's great albums were released monthly, now I wouldn't take one if you gave it to me. Yes this is bad but compared to shit today it's great

Mick in the back creating most of the sound. Truly a remarkable player.
So glad I seen them in their prime
I wish I could have
rest in peace motley crue 😄
Wow Vince looks great, I love his costume in this show.
😆
Sunset Strip was so much fun...back then. Now its just another has been dead street. Glad I grew up then than now.

I love the Crüe too but it isn't anymore the Crüe... Honestly such a pity.
Lol, luckily Poison and Def are here. Crue using backing tracks 🤣🤣🤣

Vince needs to be out front with Nasty Habits. He is lacking energy. Mick Jagger moves more.
