Thank you! I bought a new GE oven with all dials. I had to update the gas connection during install, which cost as much as the appliance. I didn't anticipate so many problems with a gas range purchase! Next, I find the oven temp is 50 degrees higher than the oven dial reads. What a relief to find your video and be able to fix this myself. Thanks so very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fixed now and working fine. :)
I have an older maytag wall oven with the old stems, your video is the only one with those. I may try to pull the temp dial off and see if mine is similar. My oven has seemed to have gotten worse. It was running a tad hot but now I was reading 350f when my knob was set for 400f. Edit: just pulled mine off and its the same. Thanks for the video.

Great video great design for calibration just what I wanted to see. My HotPoint is the two screws on rear of dial. Very helpful!

So my oven is off by about 30 degrees but I don’t have any calibration screws behind my dial etc, any recommendations? Thanks!
If it’s not hot enough, then it’s probably the igniter👍
