One of your stickers said "Free Spirit", and that is truly what "breaking a blank page is about! Any cardboard, watercolor paper, any paper heavy enough to use, pull some supplies together, find some images quickly so as not to lose the "magic feeling of free , no rules art", and just start! You are a master at "breaking blank pages" and you have me, at 74yr old up at 2 in the morning , happily breaking my first blank pages for 2019......Thank You Marta!
You have such a great attitude. More people should hope to be like u at 34 much less 74. I love your comment. If u don’t make videos u definitely should. I would be happy to watch😊
Love you Marta! Yes we did miss you. I've directed many to your "break a blank page" videos many times. So glad to see 2019 version. I def can relate, I am 70 years old, work full time, and tired when I come home from work, Finding the priority - not knowing if we should clean the house, do laundry, run errands OR craft LOL, What's important? Crafting of course LOL, You look so comfy. I was in my comfy clothes all weekend. We are getting some brutal weather here in NY.
I find that crafting is a great way of receiving tension. It’s like taking a deep breath of fresh spring air after a long winter. To try to sleep with ideas running through one head is to get built up more tension. We all love you and enjoy your videos here in America.
I just recently started watching your videos & I must tell you I am addicted. I could go for hours watching your videos. You are so inspiring & so so talented. I love love love all of your art. Thank you for all of your great tips.
It's good to see this type of video again! I love to see what you create with the random elements. And I know what you're talking about, you're restless because there's so much to do but what you need is time to yourself. We all need that escape from time to time. You find yours in creating. Balance is key. Carve that time out for yourself when you can. Even if it's just a chapter of a book, a walk, or 15 minutes (or an hour! 😉) to create something. It helps.
I adore your videos! I used to watch them a lot in 2016 and watching this now makes me want to go back to that style! Thank you so so much for your wonderful inspiration. You make it look so easy! Thanks for sharing your talent and passion with us!
Thank you so much Marta for inspiring and encouraging us all to explore our creative spirit more. My problem is I do "overthink" far too much and nearly always end up with a big mess on my desk but no art :( However, this year (2019) I have promised myself that I will stop with the overthinking and just do it. Your original 'Break the Blank Page' is what drew me out of my shell and into the creative world, but I also truly enjoyed watching you create scrapbook pages and canvases as well. Thank you sweetheart for sharing your life, your world, your family with all of us. xx
Marta, I am a card maker but you have given me the Mixed Media bug. Your personality is fresh and exciting and you make me happy just listening to you. I love your card like sizes as it gives me inspiration for my cards and using Mixed Media on them,. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. You and your family are delightful
Just love how you make the pages into something beautiful from scraps and a few bits and pieces. ♥️♥️ You are so inspiring. Hannah is such a sweet little girl. She loves spending time with her mommy. 👍😃 Yes...do an unboxing and first impression of the stamping platform you received.
Marta, I have never been interested in collage but after watching your process and how beautiful these three pages are I am inspired to try it! My favorite is the one with the rose. All of them are beautiful but the rose stole my heart. Thank you for sharing! What an inspiration😍
I have always wanted to do this.. I love it... you have given me the confidence and inspiration to start.. thank you so much.. loved the pages you did.. and thanks, not every one has gesso .. and you have shown me I can still create awesome pages and enjoy that creative spirit in me.. thanks again..
Congratulations, Marta, on the growth of your subscribers, over 200,000! Such a terrific accomplishment. Thank you for continuing to share your warm, outgoing personality and talents on RUclips!
Yes you are flying in my heart! Love this!!! I never knew how to call what I did for years, I just did it...create, create, create. Then I found your videos and then realised there was a whole community. I feel home. From card making to art journaling, I feel like I belong 😍
Enjoyed the process! I agree that the work is really very fluid looking when you work this way. These are really wonderful. Thank you for sharing so much! Listening to you is always a joy!
Those pages are absolutely gorgeous! I love them. I love watching your videos. And I do craft along with you! Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent with us.
I love watching your videos. You voice is very calming, and I enjoy the way you sort of think out loud. Also, I like that you can show how things can be fixed if you do something on a project that might not turn out the way you would have liked. You have amazing creativity, and everything you make is beautiful!
I have bought all but two books and they really are super cute and excellent quality. I have had so much fun cutting the designs out for each of my projects.I have 2 more left to buy but will buy extra copies of the ones l have used most. 10/10 and look forward to buying her new books in the future.......hopefully near future!
Thank you for doing another breaking a blank page series Marta. I’ve watched all your other ones and I keep going back to them when inspiration just isn’t coming. I find crafting is a great stress reliever for me, it help me get out of my head when there is too much going on in my life and I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all. I love your long videos, I set my iPad up on my craft table and watch them and listen to your soothing voice as I craft, I try to keep up with you sometimes but you’re just so speedy I don’t usually stand a chance of doing so , plus I don’t usually know what the heck I’m doing half the time and end up in a right mess 😂 🤣 but I have fun while I create my disasters and am always learning what not to do for next time. I date my journal pages in the hope that as I become more skilled I can look back at them for a laugh. And yes I’ve noticed that you are a bit sticker crazy, all my parcels from your Etsy store are usually covered with them and I love it haha 😂 💜💜
Hehehe crazy sticker lady 😂🤣😂😅🤣😂🤣 That's me. Even if it's a mess. Even if it's not perfect... As long as you craft and enjoy that all it's matter. 🤗♥️❤️
I love your booklet/paper pad of focal point pages. Such beautiful flowers and just the right size. I wish I could find something like that online. Most of what I have is too small. In a while, I will get your goodies and I will have new and different possibilities for creating. I can't wait! Hugs and smiles.
Of course I LOVE this! And, yes, I’m one of your people who generally comments on every video. Why not? You deserve to be commended on your beautiful art! ❤️
Wonderful Marta as always. I love how you turn mishaps into masterpieces . For example on the rose page just painted some white acrylic over the bit you didn’t like and wallah(I think) I would have been fussing and smoothing and generally overthinking and redoing things and after all that ending up with something I wasn’t happy with .You are a joy to watch and listen to. Missed your two little angels this time. Love to you and your beautiful family.,am looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us this year. Love from Australia 💕🦋🦋🦋
Yes, Daphne's Diary magazine is beautiful. Perfect for collage. A lot of people use them for making journals and TN inserts. I have a Tim Holtz stamping platform and have not used it yet. I would love to see you do an unboxing for yours. Once again you have worked your magic on these collages. They are beautiful and I am inspired. Thanks for sharing.
Hi there, I found you because I researched Art Journaling, but of course after having watched you make a few pages I have also watched the series on how to break a blank page, and enjoyed it tremendously. I always loved all those ideas, and especially what you made from them.
Wonderful Marta, always love to see you create! I haven't crafted in a long time because I've been more into coloring. But my goal for 2019 is to get back to mixed media and use the beautiful papers and other items that I have. Also to find a way to balance everything and alternate between my different hobbies, and to just create. Last week-end I took an old note book, and started cutting and gluing papers on the pages so that I would have a background to work on eventually, and just doing that made me feel so good. Watching you create tonight makes me want to do it even more. I'll definitely go back to the Break A Blank Page series to get inspiration. Thanks for all you do Marta. I've been a long time subscriber, and I always find it very inspiring to watch your creations. Much love! :)
Perfect imperfection! I tend to get caught up with pages I work on, spending hours on silly things and forget to enjoy the process and to have fun. So this was very refreshing. Thank you for sharing. 🖌
Just came on to your video and love what you do. It's good to see you just throw things on a piece of paper and have a beautiful piece of art. I have a problem getting started doing crafts. I sit down and I bog down, get up and leave. Watching you helps un stick one foot at a time and jump in. I do believe I will be watching more of your videos. Thank you for your inspiration.
its about 2 years now that i have started with collage and mixed media so your video's how to break a page did help me alot, i love that you make new ones for this year Marta :)
Well. After almost one ear when I stop creating something in my craft room I just make some lovely pages along with you. Thank you Marta! Always a pleasure to see how break a blank page. This is the hardest part in my process all the time. Now I hope I get my mojo back. It was a long time .Hugs.
I love those stickers Marta and always get inspired by you breaking a blank page. Like the base card you were using too, well everything you used to be honest. Yes I'd love to see you open the stamp platform too please. Hope you slept well.
I so can relate to how you're feeling, Marta, as I too struggle at times to find that life balance. Trying to balance life, my family, my art, and cardmaking as well as my everyday work and to top it off, trying to manage chronic illnesses in the midst of everything. So yes, many days can be very challenging and I totally feel what you're going through. My best advice is to take a moment and re-evaluate your schedule, what things you must get done every day and then the things you must do weekly, monthly, etc. I am trying to work with what is known as a block schedule, I'm going to be sharing a video about this on my channel as I know many of us artists and crafters deal with scheduling and how to manage our lives. So, I like the idea of block scheduling, where you set say a 2-hour block for crafting, another 1-hour block for preparing dinner, and even your commute time is scheduled. Although, I do not have children, but I am a preschool teacher and I know how challenging it can be, especially with infants as they need us readily and at any moment of time. I would say, try to re-evaluate your schedule and try a block schedule. I hope this helps and do know that I too understand exactly how you feel! Thank you for crafting through the tough times too, you're very inspirational! Love and Hugs!
I love all three of these pages. Especially the rose. Roses are my faviorite flower. There are so many colors that I cannot choose one over the others. Here in Spokane, WA we have a rose garden in our Manito Park. I believe that its world famous it's stunning in the summer months and draws visitors from all over the world. I purchased Tim Holtz destress crayons cause somehow one was in my things when I unpacked I tried it and liked it so purchased a small combo set from Wal Mart and liked them, so ordered more colors from etsy's and love them too. I used them to highlife the edges of pieces of background on s small jewelry box for a Christmas present for my 6yr old great granddaughter. I love the gold jeloto I'm going to have to get me a set or two of those depending on which colors come together Will have to check them out now. I love unboxing. Its lots of fun I have a cat. Her name is tori. She loves on me only when she wants to and that's mostly when inline tying I guess it's the sound of the keys hitting. She gets right between me and the screen blocking my vision till I stop and pet and talk to her for a few minutes. Wow. The third one is totally different, but I love it. The colors so vibrant .
Hello Marta, I am so happy that you decided to do a "how to break a blank page" video. I think I have watched all of your other videos of this type. I absolutely love them. They are what got me hooked on your channel. lol These look wonderful, I love them. Thank you.
Yes please I would love some of the flower stickers please ..... Can't wait to have a try I've never done mixed media before think I'm a bit of a tidy sort of crafter I need to come out of my comfort zone Wish me luck xxxx
I would like to see you open the stamping platform, I have one and I love it! I also think you should do a project where you force yourself to use those clothing tags that you don’t like - I collect so many things and don’t seem to use them x
You are a wonderful inspiration Marta 😃 im new to all this exciting journal craft and have been struggling with beginning my very first journal page! Now Im excited to try after watching this video and many others of yours too. Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm and ideas 💜
Thank you for doing this video and I hope now you can sleep. This was very inspirational and I need to get started with some blank pages of my own. Lots of great ideas. Hugs.
I have had my stamp platform for a few months and haven't used it so we will have an unboxing together. I haven't heard of any problems. I guess Ill have to look them up. But it looks pretty easy so we will see the problems together...lol Im like Emily..lol I would have a zoo if my hubby would allow it...lol Although several animals can get costly. If I had a zoo I would definitely have to be a vet. Thank you Marta for using the Jane Davenports. I have them and need some new ideas. Im watching back to back Marta tonight..lol
I adored the other "how to break a blank page" I learned so much from those videos The stamping platform is awesome for intricate or layered stamps, I love mine. All of your pages are awesome. Thanks Marta!

I love everything you do, everything is so beautiful.

You have got off to a cracking start for the year Marta. These were very inspirational. I love when you use things you haven't used for a while.
I like the gelatos over the distress crayons. They help the distress crayon color move more when you blend. It’s a good combo technique!
I hope you continue the series of break a blank page. It is great.
I have always wanted to do this.. Yes please I would love some of the flower stickers please ..... Can't wait to have a try I've never done mixed media before think I'm a bit of a tidy sort of crafter I need to come out of my comfort zone Wish me luck xxxx
The rose page is my favorite!! Love the colors!! Keep them coming! You are just soooo awesome 😁🇺🇸❤️
Loved watching you create these collages
Such an inspiration.
I would like to see you open the stamping platform, I have one and I love it!
I also think you should do a project where you force yourself to use those clothing tags that you don’t like - I collect so many things and don’t seem to use them x
Holly Skelton Ha! Ha! Now that you challenged her, you know she will. She's the only person I know that will make bright red sales tags amazing!
judi R - I know she is capable, but we will just have to wait and see if she has the time to fit in that kind of project, fingers crossed 🤞
Challenge accepted 🤣🤣🤣😁😁😁😉😉😅😅😎
Ooh exciting!! 😁👍 x
You are a wonderful inspiration Marta 😃 im new to all this exciting journal craft and have been struggling with beginning my very first journal page! Now Im excited to try after watching this video and many others of yours too. Thank you so much for sharing your enthusiasm and ideas 💜
Perfectly imperfect and gorgeous.
Oh My Gosh! I absolutely love this! I know I think too much, oh to be freely creative! Thank you Marta for sharing how it is done.
My favorite series is back !! I am never going to forget I started my journey almost 3 years back with blank page series..
