I for one am appreciative of what Roy Hodgson has helped achieve at Palace in keeping us in the Premier League. But to hear Roy’s latest comments in a news interview, that “The fans have been spoilt . . . Palace have been punching above their weight”, is just so uninspiring! The lack of confidence in those words are alarming. Palace need to thank Roy and move sooner rather than later in bringing in a new manager with renewed confidence in the team. If Roy stays, I can see Palace entering a relegation battle very soon 🤦🏻♂️
Since we haven’t got the creative players or decent strikers, surely we should play a different a different system. 4-4-1-1 GK Johnstone RB Richards CB Andersen CB Guehi LB Mitchell RM Ayew CM Franca/Ahamada (Eze when he’s back) CM Hughes/Jairo LM Schlupp CF Lerma (good in the air/can hold up play and can shoot with power) ST Olise (can run in behind) We play a counter attacking game, playing the ball long to Lerma or through the back line for Olise to run onto. This system wouldn’t be pretty or exciting; but it would be a viable system until we get Eze and Cheick back. I would honestly play like this until Cheick comes back or we get a ST that can score goals.

How many more times is Roy going to put Edouard in as a striker, he doesn't even know what the goal looks like let alone put the ball in to it, the whole team is disjointed and 11 players playing as 11 loan men, I said at the start of the season here on RUclips that Palace will be in a relegation dog fight this season, I haven't changed my mind on this, Roy Hodgson was brought back in to do one thing, keep us in the premiership, that mentality does not give players incentive to improve, just do there job, eventually the club will be down, if we can't even get a draw against Bournemouth at home we are in trouble, nothing against Bournemouth, they deserved the win no question.

Edouard gets no service. He is a box player and we never play to his strengths and have him back defending corners. Franca is an attacking midfield player that at least 4 other premier clubs were in for. Surely all their scouts can't be mad too?! There are other youngsters who should be given a chance but the conservatism displayed undermines all the work being done in the academy and the Under 21s. Time for a shake up and some adventure.
