Reminds me of when I was 7 and played this, I wasn't very good, but my everlasting memory of Korea was a squad of like 12+ fighters that I used to eliminate their superweapon. Each time I lost a few, and in the time it took my awful economy to recuperate the loss, it was so very close to a 1 hit nuclear strike.
I'll always remember my first game of Red Alert 2 online. I was Korea, adversary was Libya. He build a demolition truck and I just flew over with my jet and blew it up. His base in shreds. Such an awesome victory.
i still love this game sooooo much, i want remastered sooo much! this game had eveything! even the create a map tool was awwwwweome. best years of my life
Again awesome video. Keep up the good work man, this is an awesome game and you will get more recognition soon. Many people played this back in the day.
I want a strategy game that takes the next step. C&C was different extra different units, Starcraft was entire separate bases and play styles. Next I want different resources, building methods and everything. One has a main construction, one has special units that can build everything given the right amount of resources and one who turn certain units together into buildings. It would be awesome if stationary and slow moving units got extra range or different attack modes to make offense a lot harder so that early scouting became almost mandatory and give you more options for "global battles". Like having a map here but for times bigger or bigger and build several checkpoints of importance, separate bases and such. Like how they have building fever in Red Alert 1 or Zerg players in Starcraft constantly expanding. Also more naval units and tactics as well as artillery to be places out. Limited shooting field and slow to move then needing to deploy but efficient to hold down choke points and slow down or take on heavy units. It's what I missed from Tiberian Sun playing skirmish or campaign. These big levels and capturing several bases, developing them and having these awesome armies and guard units placed at important bridges. But by then my foe was already beaten and I just had to finish them off. Imagine in a new C&C you build your base, defeat the enemy and finish the mission and suddenly the battlefield opens even wider and now you have both your and the enemy's base against 3 more missions at once. The micro management and planning would be awesome with the simple yet varied gameplay of C&C
How do you have so many views and so few subs? Your channel must be about to blow up. Love the content, RA2 was probably the crowning achievement of C&C, looking forward to more
Love these short, concentrated, topic focused videos of Bryan along with the focused commentary. It's Bryan at his best. I'm sure this channel would be 3x the size if he kept this murderously effective formula of his.
bro the way you play these games is so rad. i just got across your videos and your comments tell so much about whats important during the game. keep it up. ure cool dude
in soviets vs allies, almost always rhino tank spam overpowers grizzlies. It's so rare to see someone doing the opposite. Also love you Korea plays. In your opinion, what would be the "best" allied and soviet factions?
-Tougher planes (1.33x hp) can afford to hit key units even if they have some air defense. -Stronger attacks (1.5x dmg) mean you need less to do a 1-hit kill air raid, spending less money and time to get there. -And once you do get 4 planes, your options increase because together they can kill tougher structures in 1 air strike. -For longer games: *7 Black Eagles can destroy a Conyard/Superweapon,* whereas 11 Harriers are needed. After this, *they become a mini-superweapon.* All this for the same $1200 cost as a Harrier.
I've always personally liked Korea but from when I played comp (very little, I'm not good) I thought it was pretty much USA or GB if you had the choice? I thought they were alright but I didn't know it was so significant, I thought the way the numbers lined up you'd still need the same amount of Eagles as Harriers for most things that are small? Like, the ratios weren't perfect or whatever.
Korean Black Eagles are a lifesaver. Eight of them can destroy a Con. Yard or Superweapon in a single bombing run. And they're much more durable and powerful than the standard Allied Harrier.
when you build 8 harrier, you end up costing more because you need another air base. also harrier fly slower than black bird, so it is easier to take out harriers than black bird.
When I played this game I was a consistent top 100 player. A played name Judodono taught me this strat. I actually got to where I couldn't lose, id build a double navy if the game went to long and stretched it. protected with aegis and built a ton of dolphins. It was a fail safe if my korea failed. People would just quit eventually. Wild I still remember this.
Hey Brian, just found your channel and absolutely love it - clear informative videos which are well edited to show the most interesting bits. Please keep uploading! subbed.
Don't know ppl still playing this! Was my favorite back then for many years. Hotkeys and numbering can be very powerful in maneuvering troops that could easily get you to top ranks.
I've played a lot of RA2 lately but I couldn't figure out what the secret to success was, to make it sound dramatic. These videos help me a lot. Thank you! Subscribed!
Badguy292 don't stop your units production (mostly tanks as soviet or tanks and rockoteers as allied. Or naval ofc depending on the map) And second keep extending your base towards the minerals
Wow the nostalgia. I was pretty good in this game. Btw it takes 3 black eagles to destroy the battle lab not 4. I prefer to always go for the battle lab instead of the power but since u had enough rocketeers and he had a battle lab it was a good idea to go for the power. Btw in allied vs soviet i noticed that u mostly build 2 miners in small maps. Soviets should punish u and rush or they will lose. P.s: if you are trying against a computer you will need all of your eagles hitting at the same time because the computer starts repairing in 0 time. Wow the memories man!! I think i played this game for like 7 years.
Hey Joseph, nice to have the patience to build maps and upload videos. Well done. Make us some good survival maps. As time goes by, the game becomes more and more difficult, most of the maps we have already played.
If i remember correctly 8 Korean Jets can one shot a main base building. You could have ended it near the start :) And also i think Korean Jets steer themselves into buildings when shot down. Not sure though, played this game about 10 years ago :) Nice vid, cheers.
they dont steer themselves when shotdown You can kill your enemy with 4 eagles, shoot 4 bombs on mcv, then let them 4 eagles hover above enemy mcv, sell airforcommand, and they crash into the enemy mcv and it explodes.
Hi there! I'm curious what program and settings you're using to record your screen/gameplay. Since win10, I have not been able to do this task--the screen is just black, though sound can be heard. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Good job on sharing a loss BTW. Losses can be just as important learning experiences as wins, if not sometimes more so. Yet alot of streamers/tubers that share their games only ever show their wins, which can make them seem quite egotistical. So...keep it up and good work! Nice to see a good player with some humbleness about them. It's such a rare but important trait to have.
Hey, one question, what system do you have, and what recording program do you use for Red Alert 2? On topic, love seeing people do new videos on one of my top favorite games.
This game was a serious mismatch, that poor guy had no clue how to play. I do miss this game a lot, I'd love to get back into playing it again. I used to have some sick control with battle fortresses back in the day!
Carlinho89 i suggest doing it only after you spotted your enemy going for an early engineer or a flaktrack, as usually u can close the mcv to defend against it, but be careful if he goes for engineers and spiders. Just get used to scouting the enemy early before u get a radar. Once u have a radar it's easy to spot this attack. If you don't feel confident enough you can just wall it.
Damir Loncaric You can buy the game on Origin, which is what I use. For multiplayer, you can use the most popular host which is cncnet.org/red-alert-2 Hope I could help!
Not sure for CnCnet which is what he plays, but back in the day Quick Matches made you a random team, and you could get Yuri which is kind of un-fun for both people if you didn't like them and people would try and make all these mini rules and shit.
My uncle used Korea against me as a child, and I became pretty good at it, but it's not my favorite . Great vid though! Korea was pretty fun in some games I recall. You're right about the money issues too. I recall Korea being Op on maps where I had a lot of oil.
By the way, do you play RA3? I never got into RA2 online. Amassing a bunch of units in one's base and not using them seems a bit nooby, that kind of behaviour gets punished in RA3 ... and other strat games in general.
I get that you were kinda doin a walkthrough, but wouldn’t you just go straight for the main building on the 2nd game? He was wide open. That would effectively end the game right there, assuming you got the war factory immediately afterward.

Wow, I never enjoyed Korea because they only had good plane, but now you talk about how you use them, they sound way better xd
korea always been good, ever played red alert2 competitivly?
-Tougher planes (1.33x hp) can afford to hit key units even if they have some air defense.

I always did love Korea when I use to play. I'm huge with air tactics with strategy games and black birds are quite OP.
Korean Black Eagles are a lifesaver. Eight of them can destroy a Con. Yard or Superweapon in a single bombing run. And they're much more durable and powerful than the standard Allied Harrier.
Great. Brings back memories. I used to be among top 30 world rank. Is this game still online for multiplayer?
Yup
Cncnet
what year was that?
I don't really like playing Korea, since I've never saw much use out of the allies planes. But maybe I'll givem another shot.
Bryan Vahey where can I download this game digitally???
EA's Origin. They had it for free. Not anymore irc. But you can buy it there.
Harrier are sucks but Black Eagle is like double the Performance .
Not unless you build a fleet. 8 harriers can take out a CY, War Factory and more.
when you build 8 harrier, you end up costing more because you need another air base. also harrier fly slower than black bird, so it is easier to take out harriers than black bird.
SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD GAME. one fraction can ONLY do 1 thing and the other can choose from a variety of 2 LOOL

This game was a serious mismatch, that poor guy had no clue how to play. I do miss this game a lot, I'd love to get back into playing it again. I used to have some sick control with battle fortresses back in the day!
Is the "lets take em out" of the jets the same audio as the migs in generals? It sure sounds like it
Nice vid! I have a question: what do you think about walling the MCV to avoid engineers and other kind of issues?
Carlinho89 i suggest doing it only after you spotted your enemy going for an early engineer or a flaktrack, as usually u can close the mcv to defend against it, but be careful if he goes for engineers and spiders. Just get used to scouting the enemy early before u get a radar. Once u have a radar it's easy to spot this attack.

In RA2 Korea will make you a celebrity if you use the jets right. I usually make 2 jets always. 1 for the flak track, and the other for the troops.
I can not believe that this game is still being played.
Really good commentary. Proves how much tactics and even the human psychology goes into it.
Fantastic commentary. The teal opponent wasn't very good at all, so that should be noted, but your commentary is great and helpful to all.
how to defend against communist terror drones at the start of game from destroying our miners?
I remember back in 2001 when I beat a rank 79 guy with Korea...
i remember in 2000 i beat a rank 1 with korea
I remember back in 2001 I had no internet :O

hey man, love your vids, just wondering do you play on ra2 or do you use yuri revenge online?
Why don't you build an engineer to cap his lab at 6:08 end sell it? wouldn't that hurt him so much more?
Man those Allies Tanks are soo good in the vanilla game o.o
Hey +Bryan Vahey My man,can you play Generals?
I really love it if you play Generals.Dont worry its still C&C.
All Hail Mighty Papyrus i was playing before yuri and generals and zero hour but still i am noob in generals
Why play vanilla as opposed to YR? I thought Yuri's was a pretty solid expansion besides Yuri being broken.
Not sure for CnCnet which is what he plays, but back in the day Quick Matches made you a random team, and you could get Yuri which is kind of un-fun for both people if you didn't like them and people would try and make all these mini rules and shit.

i just found this channel, you make me feel like a toddler when i play. Which i appreciate in a way lol nice stuff
By the way, do you play RA3?
I never got into RA2 online. Amassing a bunch of units in one's base and not using them seems a bit nooby, that kind of behaviour gets punished in RA3 ... and other strat games in general.
Great advice.
Which program you're using to record the game?
11:51 What in the hell happened to his tanks here?
I am thankfull i found your channel idk if you look to 10 months old video's but thank you
wow! i actually never considered not placing structures, pretty smart!
hey dude, just a tip, you can use the ctrl key in combination with a number to quickselect you units, its really helpfull
oh wait, thats probably only possible in ra2 yuri's revenge
I get that you were kinda doin a walkthrough, but wouldn’t you just go straight for the main building on the 2nd game? He was wide open. That would effectively end the game right there, assuming you got the war factory immediately afterward.
Why arn't you using the Ctrl-1, etc to create groups of units? Seems it would be useful for jets, etc.
damn sick diverse man, tanks or planes. korea so sick
In soviet Russia, you can build tanks and air defenses because of the apocalypse tank right? the apocalypse tank can shoot air and the ground
it is not practical for rush tactic. apocalypse is too slow
Try stopping a rush from a pro. Really difficult if they use connies, desolators
keep playing this game dude,i love this game 😁
Doesn't it ever help to deploy the infantry as the allies?
are you playing this on xwis or gameranger?
You only need 8 jets to destroy a the main factory but, youre right. in tight money maps the jets become second hand thought
will there be any tiberium wars videos
