    The food critics and chef who push black restaurants in Detroit must learn that there is very little black cuisine or soul food in Detroit. Basically just a bunch of leaves and stems thrown in a pot and given an exotic name. Like Marielle I put sugar in my spaghetti which is a black thing and identifies certain parts of the south. I put sugar in grits. This is a part of native black Americans. Some blacks won't use anything but lard. These discrepancy identifies the part of the country that you were raised in. I am pretty certain Marielle and I share a similar family tree because of how and what we cook. And native black kids loved making ice cream out of snow. Another fine cuisine for native black Americans is dirt. Mostly black women who would send kids out to scoop up dirt. Clay dirt. A delicacy among young black girls. So when you see all those weeds and beans and rice that all the foreigners clams as soul food they are lying and don't know anything about soul food.
