ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From renowned Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" brand) and co-creator Derek Haas, the writer behind "3:10 to Yuma," comes Season 8 of "Chicago Fire." The family inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) leads the Truck Company and brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad. The firehouse also includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman's fireman. Paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) returns alongside seasoned veteran Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Randy "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte), as well as resourceful firefighter Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo). @@barrettcurtin8244 actually, she can stay. Assuming both Biden and Casey get promoted themselves, Biden to Deputy Commissioner and Casey to BC.
@@BassmanII Or they add another rig, there is an extra door so they could do that, or she may have to cover for Casey while he is treated for his head injury, I'm guessing he might need surgery. But I definitely think Boden deserves a promotion at least to Deputy District Chief, he's earned it at this point.

I don’t know but I just have a feeling that Stella will end up taking over truck when she makes Lieutenant. And Matt Casey will end up moving to a less dangerous position as a result of his head injury. Either that or he may leave Chicago to be with Gabby. Either way I see a big change coming. Lol 😂

Doesn’t necessarily have to be Casey. It could be Herman 🤔 even temporarily as he could be back on Sex and City for HBO max and gives Kidd chance to gain experience as cover
Casey seems too obvious now and they like to shock people. No one saw Otis or Shay happening
@@deadskimountaineer Casey's done? I'm still waiting to see him getting bumped to Battalion Chief, assuming command of 51 after Boden retires. Cant imagine seeing him doing desk jobs in the future.
@@MiserableRacer Herrmann is still new to his position, I can't see him going anywhere. With his head injury, Casey may not have a choice as to whether or not he takes a desk job

Just cause her character is up for a promotion doesnt really mean that she is leaving the show. I mean Hermann passed the Lt test way back in season 2 and he didnt offically become a Lt until season 7.

and they say never meet your heroes.
I never understood how the truck got back to the firehouse if the wheel was bent out like that. If it was towed, wouldn't it have made more sense to just take it directly to the maintenance yard. I know we see the guys doing maintenance on the rigs over the years, but never anything that seems structural to this extent, not to mention they don't have that kind of equipment laying around 51.
Her hero? Uhm, I haven't watched it yet...

So, let's be clear here: She did a heroic thing, and you're main concern is " It was a COLORED WOMAN who did it !A WOMAN, and a COLORED one !" ?! Good God, that's absurd ! Selfless and valor has no color. It exists in men and women alike. That's been true for CENTURIES, and we ALL know it. This is sending a bad message: Telling women, and especially those who aren't white, that its RARE for anyone like them to be heroic.

I personally didn't have a problem with what was said. Mainly because this is the first time the issue of her race was mentioned since they introduced her character in season 4. I mean yes Chief Boden did kind of hint at in the season 9 opener when he was explaining to her why he wanted her to take the Lt test. Sorry that last sentence was a bit of a spoiler for fans that live outside the US and haven't had a chance to see that episode yet, so sorry for that.
How many women of colour have you seen in your local fire department? It's about representation.
