I loved that he looked out for her but didnt hold her back like others would do. He knew her capabilities and he helped her extend them while lookinf out for her. Thats what I love abt him
The bond between them is so strong. I love the relationship of them because it’s a father-daughter relationship. Boden reacted so emotional and lovely. He would do the wedding everywhere and everytime. I love the whole series.
I absolutely love that and I started tearing up right away!! I admire Boden for being such a father figure to her because I don't have a father in my life. I will have to ask a father figure to walk me down the aisle in the future.
Just don't get tricked. Hollywood is here for a reason. To give us unrealistic ideas about everyday relationships. Sometimes it is realistic. It doesn't always pan out the way you want it to
Nicola, Even tho I had a Justice of the Peace gathering: My uncle Gave me away cause I didn't have my Dad anymore. It was one of the Happiest days of my Life!!! Besides when I gave Birth to my Son
@Nicola Cheung, I hope the person is as honored to do that for you as Bodin was was for Kidd. I had my father, but my cousin with whom my husband and I had a double weeding with had lost her dad very young, and her older brother walked her down the asile.
@@venetabritt2771 thank you that means a lot to me. It is tough not to have a father in my life and I do hope I will have a father figure to walk me down the aisle the day of my wedding in the future.
I'm not much of a fan of the being walked down the aisle tradition, but this scene had me SOBBING. wallace knew what she was going to ask as soon as she called him her father figure and the eyes on that man, it just meant so much to him like he thinks he's not the best parent but he's the dad of the entire fire house and to stella especially and their bond is so important to me
I liked that Stella asked Chief Boden if he could give her away to Severide since she is not really close with her family and her real family is Firehouse 51
@Madeleina Lazaris She mentioned a brother when they were all ganging up and making fun of Brett after they found out she has an extreme phobia of clowns. Stella joked about her brother to Brett. However, it wasn't mentioned anymore and therefore it isn't really known if she was referring to a biological sibling or a foster sibling.
I have never watched a single minute of this show in my life and STILL love this scene. The moment it dawns on him what this is all about is absolutely amazing.
I’m not crying you are this warmed my heart. I’m not close to my old man. Because he has a problem with how to treat the woman in his life. I already know I would choose one of three special people in my life to walk me down the isle instead if the day comes.
Amazing acting. I know how it feels. My daughter had me walk her down the aisle. I'm Mom. She told me she wanted the one who's always been there to be there that day. Some things tried to come against it. Didn't matter. I was there and I walked her down that aisle. Crying the whole time. She's in good hands too. Proud to call him part of my family now.
It is sad Casey wont return anytime soon. Great to see Brett back again, but it won't be the same anymore. Kelly and Casey are the OG squad, along with Boden.
I loved that scene, I really do think that the writers could have done a better job for Severide and Kidds wedding. We waited how long for them to get together, stay together, propose, and finally marry. I would have loved the wedding reception to include a slow dance with Kidd and Boden, as well other as speeches from their friends and family, and maybe throwing a bouquet. It all seemed very fast
I hated the last scene of this episode but I'm beyond thrilled that Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide are married. I went from crying happy tears for this couple to screaming expletives during the last scene before the credits rolled.
@madjames 23 The recently married couple went off the grid to the Severide cabin to have some personal alone time so they can enjoy their honeymoon but unknown to them, the drug lord Kelly was gonna testify against, shadowed and followed them to the cabin.
Chief Boden is the IMO the one character that if he left the show I would stop, I love Kelly and Casey but my god that character is so well done Boden is truly the Dad of that house and every department and city official knows it. The respect he commands from people above him to even new candidates that barely know who he is just shows how good of a leader he truly is.
I hope it wasn't the gang that pulled up to the cabin severide and Stella went to. I've got a gut feeling the cabin is going to be torched, and the newlyweds JUST manage to escape the blaze, and the gang leader is caught by chicago PD, and a crossover coming in the next season. I hope September hurrys up so I can get watching my favourite shows again (watching reruns until then hehehe).
"The wedding could be yesterday. . .on the moon, I would still find a way." Chief Boden continues to be my favorite at every turn.

Mines to the only reason I watch Chicago Fire
@@veronicawatson2525 also any secene with him, much and herman

Something a dad would of said
His face when she asked is so precious. I love Eamonn Walker
You mean Precious? :)
It really was one of those beautiful moments and I teared up
It was really cute 🥰
So priceless
Phenomenal acting by his part. Love this show. I need to get caught up
I love how Stella told Chief Boden that he's the closest thing she's ever had to a father.
He is though
@@ethanch3011 He's a damn good father figure to have
And his face as she says it. ❤️
@@BrandyFord-xv5rx that is a really close bond that can't be broken easily
I wish Gallo said that to Casey at one point during the show
His face and reaction was PRICELESS. So bad it even got ME in the feels a lil. Eamonn is a great actor
Eamonn played marigold in in sickness and health along side warren Mitchell
He always had such love for her. From the minute she came to 51, he knew she was destined for greatness. Always looked out for her❤️
He sure did he always loveed her and looked out for her
I loved that he looked out for her but didnt hold her back like others would do. He knew her capabilities and he helped her extend them while lookinf out for her. Thats what I love abt him
I really did like that scene Chief Boden is really like a father to Stella Kidd and she's right he is
This scene was right before we ate dinner, so my mom saw me crying my eyes out
good for you
Same
Ditto
What struck me was when Stella was hugging him, the expression on her face was incredible
I love this man's ability to act and his control of his facial features is fantastic.
The Boden facial expressions when she asks him to give her away are amazing
The way he hugs her like a father 🥺😭😭😭😭😭😭
The bond between them is so strong. I love the relationship of them because it’s a father-daughter relationship. Boden reacted so emotional and lovely. He would do the wedding everywhere and everytime. I love the whole series.
and them parenting Kaylie ^^
The way his face dropped with pride...... my heart. He loves her ❤️❤️❤️
I agree
Eamonn Walker is definitely one of the most UNDERRATED actors of this generation! Period!
His face!!!! He's forever my favorite
The look he gave her when she asked him.... Just killed me!
I absolutely love that and I started tearing up right away!! I admire Boden for being such a father figure to her because I don't have a father in my life. I will have to ask a father figure to walk me down the aisle in the future.

Stella loves him a lot as a father..they are very close..he always look out for her..beautiful relationship💕
This warms my heart man...
Didn't expect my Monday to be funny while also heartwarming.
When I saw this in my feed I already knew tissues would be required before clicking. Damn, that was beautiful.
He looks like the best hugger! I just want a hug and it’ll make my entire week!

The chief’s facial expression is adorable.
I just think it had to be done, I definitely agree that Boden is a father to everyone at 51
my favorite moment cause you can see the father daughter bond between Stella and Boden.
I agree
Tears of joy when when Stella asked Chief Boden to give Her Away 😂
Boden is such a great guy. I knew without even thinking what he would say, and I was right.
Boden is by far the best chief to ever play any role! And he’s the best guy to play that role!
I liked that Stella asked Chief Boden if he could give her away to Severide since she is not really close with her family and her real family is Firehouse 51
@Angelina Smith Stella actually doesn't have much of family as she's an orphan. She only has her aunt and uncle left.
I swear at one point she mentioned a brother or am I thinking of someone else?
@Madeleina Lazaris She mentioned a brother when they were all ganging up and making fun of Brett after they found out she has an extreme phobia of clowns. Stella joked about her brother to Brett. However, it wasn't mentioned anymore and therefore it isn't really known if she was referring to a biological sibling or a foster sibling.
That said Chief's reaction is PRICELESS and he did a great job holding back tears!
are Terence Vincent job
It’s so adorable because the chemistry of both of them is really good. He would do anything for her and she sees him as her father.
All I can say is AWW!!!! You rock Chief Boden. Was crying when I watched this amazing episode.
Chief Boden is a great leader he really cares for those that are under his command and they really care about him
Boden is the heart of Chicago Fire. 🥺
I have never watched a single minute of this show in my life and STILL love this scene. The moment it dawns on him what this is all about is absolutely amazing.
Firehouse 51 will always have one chief: Wallace Boden. The role fits him well. Everything about him shows strength and a no-nonsense attitude.
That wasn’t acting that was a true moment. It felt too real
Okay....that scene give me tears. Cant wait to see the wedding scene.
I've only seen bits and pieces of this show in passing, and this scene still made me cry.
Watch it from the beginning!!!
I'm not crying... my eyes 👀 are just 💧 watering 🙃 !
That's got to be one of THE most touching moments I've ever witnessed in Hollywood 💜💜💜
It was at this moment @1:02 my heart exploded.
The fidelity is so refreshing! Don't see much of that anymore on television. Bravo
I always love Boden's quick smile ^^
You can't help but love Wallace Boden
Both of them in this scene are excellent! I am so in love with the series ❤️
0:45 - 0:50 ❤❤❤😭😭😭😭😭😭🥺 That was so precious, and i already call Boden "papa Boden" ❤❤
Boden gave his protege Kidd to his student, Severide. I just hate that Donna and Trudy weren't at the wedding.
He has always been and still is a great Actor.❤
That hit me in the feelers! Wow!
Now That's Is A True Man Of Honor.
Best characters , best humans ever.everyone.

Funny when he hugs her she puts her head on his right shoulder but when the shot changes its on his left shoulder.
This scene is just so beautiful

It definitely will suck if the cabin gets destroyed Kelly had good memories with Benny there.
A great example of someone being a father without being your birth father!😊
Chief Boden, is like Captain Raymond Holt from Brooklyn 99.
I think I've watched this a million times and could watch a million more
I absolutely love them.

Dude has been underrated his entire career.
aweeeeee my heart just melted lol
