- I have a tiny 12" PowerBook G4 that is a little bit sad, let's see if I can make it happy and functional again! (Apple pretty pls make a 12" MacBook Pro I would absolutely love it)

You can eject the disc by turning the Mac on while holding the left mouse button/touchpad button. Also, always ALWAYS take keys off from the top of the key, not the side! You won't break the key if you do that.
I tried holding down the button on boot and it unfortunately didn't eject
I love the niche genre of youtube videos where people torture themselves with old Macs. Reminds me of old druaga1 content. Great stuff, subscribed!
MacOS9Lives is a custom version of MacOS 9 with some quality of life stuff and support for non supported machines. Not sure why the 12” didn’t like it though.

Oh woah ! Very cool ! I found one for 15€ without the charger and with a 0% battery so I will se how it goes when I will had my power supply.
Powerbooks are powerfull, i'm sure it didn't got hurt by the first hit!

Also, i feel ya pain. i had to burn a Linux OS to Disk due to dead usb port's on a laptop x_X took forever and a day XD

That's quite a good video card. It's better than the Intel GMA 950 that went into the 2006 MacBook (edited, I had typed PowerBook).

Ifixit has a lot of good step by step teaardowns that would help with disassembling stuff.. Also some of the G4s and older didn't boot from USB drives.
G4 and G3 can boot from USB via OpenFirmware commands. It looked like he was starting to figure that out but gave up. I've got a G3 iMac with a broken disc drive I just put a fresh install of Tiger on in the last couple weeks.

This shouldn't even be possible! These Powerbooks are never ment to run macos 9! These are normally os x only laptops! That is so weird! Amazing that the 17 inch booted from the macos 9 on some random hard drive . . . Crazy!
Are these plastic or the titanium cased? If titanium, the alloy might delaminating

Edit: 18:26 On some PowerPC computers, you can't boot off USB drives.

Now get a 512GB mSATA along with an mSATA to IDE enclosure. And then multiboot it 10.4, 10.5, 10.6 Leaked version, MorphOS, see if Haiku works, Debian PowerPC, OpenBSD PowerPC and/or NetBSD/macppc…. 7 OSes with one questionable? Yeah. I’d say that is gonna be the most cursed, loaded with software, PowerBook 12” on the planet
