Something to note regarding the differences between the RT and F3. The riding position is vastly different. On my F3 my feet are in front of me and my arms are slightly more extended. Cruiser position. On my wife's RT, her feet are under her knees. Touring position. She can ride longer due to the weight distribution and seating arrangement. For us, that is the largest difference and why my wife went RT. You want to go on long rides, do not get an F3.

Hey Coach Bob, I believe there s a miss understanding of the vehicle weight limits of the F3 Limited. My wife and I just purchased a 2020 leftover model due to the drop in price(and not willing to wait for new models of either limited models due to part/chip shortages) But as I was contemplating my decision, the dealer let me take the F3 manual home to read. On page 97 of the F3 manual it states that the vehicle load limit on the Limited models is 460lbs. This is also on the safety sticker in the frunk. All other models is 438 lbs. that made my decision easier as we can utilize all 4 storage compartments for day trips before we plunge for the trailer(another deciding factor is the F3 Limited and the RTL are the only ones with the ability to tow a trailer)
Is the RTL nice? Absolutely. But for us the decision was an easy one as we can enjoy the F3L as much as anyone can enjoy an RTL.
Thanks for the walk thru and all other videos. You’ve certainly helped with certain cruising accessories and ride gear.
    All the best, Barry

I like the mirrors on the new models. I haven't seen a 2020 up close but from watching videos like yours it looks like they give a better field of view. I had to buy some after market attachments for my '15 RTL.

Thanks for the 411 Bob, looking at them currently. Not in a big hurry to buy but I will once I find what fits my needs and price range. I could afford almost any model but Don’t want to buy the wrong one. Previously had a Valkyrie STD with some custom up grades. So I don’t think I need the side bags and trunk but it might be nice. I really like the F3-S model work it’s upgrades like suspension, cruse Control, ECT. My journey continues.......

You have me 80% convinced to go RT Ltd vs. a Goldwing DCT...so glad I found your channel. Was looking to pull the trigger a year from now on an RT Ltd, but current unpleasantness with covid-19 and associated economic uncertainty will likely move that back.

I have the 16 f3 limited and it has the low stock windshield. I wear s full face and you dont get alot of buffeting. I like the gas cap where it is my wife stays on while I fill it. I have the rear shelf and passenger armrests so its like a lazy boy in the back. They are all nice machines and a blast to ride coach. Keep the rubber down brother

From my experience riding the RT and the F-3, you sit ON the RT and you sit IN the F-3. That's why my choice would be the F-3.

I always liked the F3 Limited. Not being able to adjust the windshield was a deal breaker for me. Plus that tiny little thing. I like the riding position, but with the new RT, you have so many ways to adjust your position and that is awesome for long distance traveling. You have more leg and foot protection from the elements with the RT.

The throttle response is much better on the F3 just as it was much better on the IRS over the RT

nice job! Being an F3S owner, there is a bit of difference in the "performance" of an F3 compared to an RT. The rear belt sprocket is a different diameter..i believe they even program the ECU a little different. But all in all they are great bikes!

We demo rode a F3 a few years ago and at freeway speeds my Wife experienced severe head buffeting. With the new 2020 RT Limited basically looking like a F3, in stance, with the pillion sitting much higher than the rider l am afraid the severe head buffeting issue would be present again. A taller touring windshield would not help, lmo. Looking forward to demo riding the 2020 Rt Limited to see. However, with this corona virus, everything is on hold. Stay Safe. Oh, I did not spit out my coffee watching this vlog, with my earbuds! lol. 🙂🏍

If ease of fueling is an issue, just get an Ultimate seat with fuel door. Problem solved. I did it to my RT, and LOVE it.

Good video. You weren't sure about why the 2020 was heavier. A minute later you said it was 11 inches longer. I think that would be the answer. 🤔

I didn’t know I was going to do the walk around until I got to the shop and they had one. So initially gave my feelings and thoughts.
Yet through the magic of RUclips.
🚶I walked out of the shop 🚶
      💡 Looked it up 💡
Then shared with folks in the next section. Trying to give as much information as I could find.

Interesting walk round and presentation on the f3, that is the Spyder that would appeal to you. I found that it did not work for me in several ways. The bars were too much reach, hence the seat position would be awkward in a few miles, the pillion did not fit Millie at all, less storage capacity than the RTL. However, I think the foot rests are much better than 'big foot' on the RT, I like the adjustment on the forward foot rest. Different strokes as they say. Ride on.

I agree. The RT was the one for us for sure. Very happy with our machine. The F3 looks cool to me. But functionally, for us, it’s RT all the way. 👍👍

I have the 2018 F3 Limited and love it. Removing the turn signals from the mirrors on the 2019 F3 and now the 2020 RT I don't like. The modifications I made to mine are all light related. You can checkout my video. Other than that the new RT is really a nice looking machine. Stay safe.

Great walk around. I feel the same way about the windshield, but.i guess this style is more for the "Sporty" ryders. I think the redesign of the 2020 RT, is really more to my liking. I like the idea of the new F3 having a longer wheelbase, should be a little more comfortable for longer trips, I would think. IDK, I want to see both models up close, together. Definitely Ryde them. Like I said that F3 windshield is a strong negative factor for me. Stay Alert. Ryde Safe in a fun way. Thanks for sharing. Keep on Spydering. 😎.

As a tall guy the windshield is way too small. I love the way you can move the footpegs on it. I appreciate you insight.. thanks for watching!!!

$26,000 is way out of my price range. I bought my 2015 F3 with 7000 miles three years ago. I paid $9500 and I’ve put 35,000 miles on it. My plan is to hit 100,000 and then get another at a huge discount

i think personally , i would go with the F3 , for little reasons like ease of fuel filling . right in front of you ,like a regular bike. as opposed to lifting the seat . an the two have smaller differances to make the extra cost make sence. but not flat colours . i like gloss ..
