I can't believe start-up is making me cry over non-canon heteros in the year of 2020.
I sweeear I have tried to lay this second lead syndrome to rest and focus on the plot of the show, but what can I do when the triangle has BECOME the plot of the show? I mean, they truly sacrificed everything in order to fuel this weird love narrative, and while the direction they're heading is super obvious, at the same time it's so confusing? I really don't understand why they keep giving Dalmi and Jipyeong so much screentime and romantic coded moments when they're clearly not meant to be. This is actually so detrimental to their main leads because it's making Dosan and Dalmi less and less likeable by the minute. I don't even understand why they like each other at this point, even after 3 years?? They're just clowning me I guess.
As you all might have noticed at this point, I am pretty invested in these two. Actually, I don't think invested is the word, maybe 'bitter' suits best what I am feeling. What a waste of great potential and killer visuals, I'm sure they'd kiss so pretty ㅠㅠ
But nothing gets me going more than bitterness, editing wise, so please go along with it as I make 2932 videos of these two in a row. Just smile and nod yall, just smile and nod 😅
Again, this one is more from Jipyeong's POV (I always do it from his POV, unrequited love is just so popular in music haha), about how he's just taking what he can get from Dalmi, even though he longs for so much more. I just realized I made a mistake with the voiceovers, I cut off one of Dalmi's lines in the bit where she's talking about how he started it all so it's sorta not fully there, but anyway I still added the original meaning to the subs...Stuff that happens when you edit voiceovers in a language you don't fully understand LOL.

Honestly he didn't even feel like a second lead, it feels like the main lead was building up their plot with the heroine while she just choose a random bystander at the end. it's a complete joke, I rather watch a tragic drama ending where the main lead dies compared to the sudden useless plot build up from the early episodes to what it has become.

It's always kinda sad when in dramas you know endgame couples even before it airs, so I doesn't even matter what's happening in the story. I don't even watch this one since the premise doesn't interest me, but through fanvids I grew to like these two and I truly feel for the viewers.

Ahh what a masterpiece. The song choice its just *chef kiss* 'when you no longer see me i'll be gone' broke my heart. This was so smooth and so well edited, the coloring enchance perfectly the scenes and everything is just gorgeous amazing and incredible
so yesterday.,.i was watching your previous JiDal videos. like my instinct was telling me? "watch them now before the next one drops. it's gonna drop. and when it does..it's gonna blow your tiny mind away."
turns out my instinct was right.
THIS. THISSS! okay let me tell you how I felt when I saw this video in my subscription box: I SQUEALED!I squealed and then I had to control myself because no way was I going to watch it without properly SAVORING every second of it. so i waited for the right time..I set up the mood of my room..turned the HD on, video full volume..put it on the full screen mode so I wouldn't miss a damn thing. and now here I am..tears in my eyes and my heart beating so fast because that's what brilliantly edited videos do to me! and this? this wasn't just brilliance. this was RAW EMOTION hitting all my senses with razor sharp precision. idk HOW you do it every time but you are such a genius in putting together the emotions through the song+voiceovers+the scenes..you put together a completely coherent narrative in 2-4 minutes where yes, there is a story but it isn't any story? there's this unique feel to it that it's both the most beautiful and the most heartbreaking thing to exist all at once.
I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THIS!!! the parallelism you showed both visually with scenes and with the dialogues you chose? askdjhada MY HEART IS TOO WEAK AND THIS EDIT IS TOO STUNNING!! the decision to use DalMi's entire "i'll be nosy" monologue is not something that any other editor has done. but you did! You didn't choose JUST the main lines from it but you used the most of it so it ended up putting more weight to just WHY JiPyeong has put himself in a position where he has no other option but to "take what he can". I MEAN THE SHEER BRILLIANCE?? the audio is telling us it's JiPyeong's POV and the visuals are proving just why it's his POV! and the way the first half of the vid is most DalMi's voice overs and the end with that swelling music is JiPyeong's voiceovers. and through it all the scenes that so seamlessly flew into each other (please i can write essays about how your transitions are always so point! never too overwhelmingly flashy and always always ALWAYS elevating the mood of the video!!)...did I have any other chance but to be blown away?!
okay I just paused writng this long ass comment to watch the vid again and asdkjhasdkajd!! I AM ON MY KNEES THE BEAUTY OF THIS! there are so many little things you have done here. I will never stop being in sheer AWE of how you edit the video according to the lyrics. "i'll be gone.." and the scene of DM looking for JP which you so BRILLIANTLY showed in that gorgeous b&w coloring. the way you cut JP confessing to Halmaeoni that he likes DM but you seamlessly joined in his two "i like [DM]" so it came across as one. the way you chose to color flashback scenes!! pure b&w for saddest ones..a bit more dreamy/sepia one for the ones when they were kids. AND THAT LAST SCENE OF THE PLANT THAT DALMI GAVE HIM THAT HE HAS BEEN NURTURING ALL THESE YEARS?! bye that just ended me!!
It's the last week! the next vid on them is either gonna break me to complete pieces or send me to cloud9! the 1% clownery is going on..it's just so hard to let go you know? AAAH! The amount of symbolic moments they made between these two , even without them having a romantic moment in that sense . All the fan theories , because it really felt like the writer wanted them to be endgame , and you telling me they just left him alone in the end ? It actually makes no sense to me . The justification for why she ended up with Do San would never make sense to me . You wanna argue and say Do San was there for her in the present ? Excuse me so was Han ji pyeong , even more than she would ever know . But of course they make sure on,y the viewers can see it .

To be honest,I have been watching this movie because of Jipayeong'story. His story is the most interesting and attractive. He deserves better than Dalmi.
Am i the only who was super mad about the drama that they didn't have a single scene where they had a heartfelt conversation about the letters after dal mi found out the truth about the letters..like howww? They started the drama with the letters being a strong backstory but afterwards they became just meaningless to her.. arghh 🙄😔

Ok, everybody thinks it's over for JP with Dal mi piggybacking Do-san back to Seoul. Not me. Dal mi told Do-san that she had to BEG his parents to tell how to find him. From the conversation between Do-san's mom and dad, I don't think Dal mi had to "beg" for very long. She told DS that "we need to talk." Talk about what? We did not hear much of what they were talking about, did we?. She even fell asleep before eating the ramen. And in the morning, all we hear is Dal mi talking business to Do-san. Dal mi's dream is not Do-san, but to become the Steve Job of Korea. She is one tough, tenacious, and in JP's words "pretty resilient" young lady who has mastered the art of the deal. And it seems like she got the team she needed to help her realize her dream.
Two more episodes to go. It's "two outs in the bottom of the ninth and a full count." JP will swing for the fences and score a home run. My two cents!

Remember when Seo dalmi said she doesn't make any regrets of her choices, She didn't realize the time when she picked dosan over jipyeong is the biggest mistake she ever did.
Since she said she didn't regret any of her choices so she ended her relationship with dosan, but then took him back so she did not keep her word.

I really like Han Jipyeong, and i really want him to be happy, but he had literally 3 years to confess to this girl, and try his best to win her love and yet he did nothing. Do san on the other hand is just so in love with her, like, he try so hard to make her happy and be better for her.. They are endgame for me, but i really reaaaally need for Han Jipyeong to have a happy ending 😩

Ugh, so good. I just finished episode 14 and I've just started skipping the Do-San and Dalmi scenes. I really don't understand why they are the main. These have much better chemistry imo. And plus, back at the beginning they introduced us to Jipyeong first, so that made me think he was going to be the lead guy. Sigh.
