I'm fairly new to SB19 as well. I left the Philippines as a kid so the Filipino music I grew up with is the classic OPM like Martin Nievera, Gary V, etc. I rediscovered Filipino music through artists like Morissette, Moira and SB19. Love SB19 for their overall talent. Singing, rapping, dancing, writing and producing their songs and choreographing their routines, they do it all. I also admire them for their perseverance despite the hardships they went through and the uncalled for criticism they faced when they first started. I'm so happy they are getting the recognition they deserve.
Hello. truee. me too i left the Philippines whe I was yuoung and I was used to the OPM with high notes or bands like Parokya ni Edgar and Spongecola that's why I was quite skeptical when I've first listened to SB19 but then they proved me wrong.. they more than just a boy band.
This is what we're saying. Filipino Army cheering for SB19. I'm just glad I found this rv. We are not forcing everyone to support SB19 but bashing them just bcs they're not your faves is invalid. Thank you po! Support local! Support PPop! Sulong OPM!

Mapa- ang ating mga magulang ang mapa sa buhay natin para 'di tayo mawala at mapunta tayo sa tamang papupuntahan.
Mapa(Ma, Pa)- Parents natin.
Mapa( Mata and Paa)- Ang mama natin ang ating Mata para makita natin ang tama sa mali at ang papupuntahan. Ang Papa natin ang ating Paa para makatayo tayo sa buhay at magpatuloy sa paglalakbay.

Pablo writes all of their songs. Indeed, a genius! I'm happy you're enjoying their performances. They always sing live, always give their 100% no matter if they have only 8 people watching them or 8,000. They are all involved from conceptualizing to choreography to mixing, to visual design, to the whole production of each of their song. Stell is their main choreographer. Justin is their visual design artist. Ken complements the group with his deep beautiful voice and sick dance moves. Josh is the main rapper of the group with lots of wisdom. ShowBT Philippines allows them the freedom to be hands on on their music.
That's why they truly give justice to each of their performances. Once you see one of their performances, you will never turn back. You just keep on digging the rabbit hole as what happened to me. Mapa actually have 3 meanings in this song:
* Mapa as map because our parents are like the map in our life that guides us thru.
* MaPa for Mama and Papa
* Mapa as wordplay combination of Mata and Paa. There is a part in the lyrics that says our Mother serve as our eyes in life and our Fathers are like our feet.

There is more to SB19 than their songs and performances, how Pablo pours his heart into words and melodies, how Stell choreographs their songs with Ken and Josh, and how Justin is the creative director of most of their songs. i understand why you're a BTS fan because before SB19, there were no boyband with their caliber. Some can only dance, others sing but they can do all - rap, sing, dance and compose their own music. They can sing in 4 languages too - English, Tagalog, Korean and Bisaya. Such talent huh.

The first vid i watched from them is go up, and like every other nonAtin..i dismissed them pretty fast..after that i stumbled upon their go up practice and thought they were pretty insync, their dancing skills is undeniable that still didn't made me an Atin, after that i watched the korean interview, they were so humble and inspiring there i heard tilaluha...and after that I found myself stanning them
Actually Bazinga was good but it didn't convince me to satan but when I've heard MAPA that's when I've started to watch more of them and try to know who they really are.. They are great guys. Talented but very humble. 💙💜

i came to know about Bts because of SB19,they did a lot of BTS covers. and i got interested also in BTS i don't know but their background and personality really is very similar.
