Marshmallows have long been a beloved treat, finding their way into s'mores, hot cocoa, and various desserts around the world. However, traditional marshmallows contain gelatin, an animal-derived ingredient made from collagen extracted from the skin, bones, and connective tissues of animals like cows and pigs. This poses a challenge for those who follow a vegan lifestyle or have dietary restrictions, leading to the rise of vegan marshmallows as a delightful and cruelty-free alternative.
Vegan marshmallows typically use plant-based alternatives to gelatin, such as agar-agar or carrageenan, to achieve the desired texture. These ingredients are derived from seaweed and provide the necessary binding properties to create fluffy, pillowy marshmallows. Other key components include sugar, corn syrup or tapioca syrup, water, and natural flavors, which come together to give vegan marshmallows their sweet and slightly chewy consistency.

Yes finally, easy recipe to make 🎉🎉
Thank you queen 😊
cream of tartar? what is that
Yay Vegan Marshmallows! Is the corn syup a must? I live in the Uk and its hard to find here. Great video.
You can use golden syrup, if you want to omit it add 100 grams extra of sugar and do not stir once it goes to boil.
@@UncleLousKitchencould we use normal syrup ? Like we boil sugar with water and we use it instead of corn syrup ?
Amazing
Thank you queen
Thanks for the recipe. Do they work well for rice crispy treats?
Hey 👋 I made a video for that too! And yes 100% you don't need them to get to this stage for that but thanks for stopping by
Thank you. Is that the fluff recipe then?
🔥🔥🔥
❤️
Question, is it alright if I don't use aquafaba and the cream of tartar? We don't have it here in our country
And I don't mind if I have to resort to egg whites, I'm not that vegan, I just want to find an alternative for the gelatin.
Hi there, I really wouldn't know what to suggest as this is the only method I managed to get working. I'm so sorry I can't be of more helpm
Aquafaba is just the liquid on canned bean or chickpea and I think cream of tartar can be replaced by vinegar
Do these toast well?
Hi there, yes you can put a flame to them 😀
Does it matter if i use agar flakes or do i need agar agar powder?
Hi Terry, agar powder is best for this, I wouldn't know the conversion rate to get it the same unfortunately
Could you give the quantity in gram ? Cause I 0refere cooking by weight
I'm so sorry I don't have it in grams I will try to remember next time so I can post it for you
