Hi Dear I think your translate is wrong sometime. It should be (I saw small mistake in other lessons too) mata ada vasanawa thiyenewa = I have luck today mama ada vasanavanthi = I am lucky today
Fluent English speakers don't say " I have luck". They always say "I am lucky". Direct word to word translations don't work always because this is spoken English and not written English.
sisil sir ekka karana speak english without any fear lesson digatama continue karagena yanna me channel eka balana 95% k withara ea lesson ekak enakam balagena innawa Thank You very much
Very interesting sir. We can check our noladge. Everyday watch your videos and it my hobby. Always I found new words and new sentences it's built up my knoladge.I appreciate for your teaching
@@prasannadammika2647 Both are wrong. It should be in the 'tag' form. The correct way of asking this question is "Today is a Wednesday, isn't it?". Another example, "He is rich, isn't he?", one more, "They are poor, aren't they?". I have seen many Sri Lankan use "no" and the end of the question to create a tag form question. Yet, it's ridiculously wrong and please try to avoid doing it. No one else in the world does it.
@@mymath1812 You r totally correct. Actually that way is used speak in english only in srilanka. Some people use word 'neh' (නෙහ්) end of the sentence. (He has gone neh!). Some people use "so" when they talking. BTW According to the English those all sentences are wrong. Aren't it? 😋
@@indnov24 Yes, you are quite correct. Using 'neh' (නෙහ්) at the end of a sentence is not correct. Looks like it has been derived by our Sinhala word 'නේද?'. Every language has it's own way of expressing things. A language evolves with the time and the community that uses it. The way people use English is way different than how English people talks. Anyway, I personally don't like it when people use 'neh' or 'no' and the end of a question instead of a correctly asking a tag question. Srilankans will understand it, but others might get confused if you do it. So, my advice is to learn a new language as the natives of that language speaks. Your last sentence is pretty damp correct, keep it up. There is a little correction to your writing, it should be a comma before the word aren't, so it should write as, '..... are wrong, aren't they?'.
