And I can't speak for his wife because when I tried to research it she filed for divorce before he was even arrested, based on the video she saw of him MURDERING George, and is changing her name and went into hiding.
If you think things you've heard, that I'm sure you can't prove, of him committing forgery, and of the cop who outright murdered him is warranted, to are part of the problem. I've cried b/c what happened to Mr. George Floyd is horrific, but like many people standing w/ his family and friends peacefully right now; this matter is not on my mind throughout the day. I still go to work (this concern may or may not come up there); I'm mothering my child (educating my child on this wrong, but I do not break down as if it each time is harder than the first conversation), & despite COVID-19 nor whatever comes next I'm still doing my best to pray for peace and enjoying my life. Like many believers this family trust has NOT wavered from their faith in the LORD GOD and JESUS CHRIST; what they are asking for is justice. Anyone who knows what the officers did is wrong know this family is entitled to justice. The LORD GOD, I serve is the creator of justice and stands for upright, so if these officers are set free here, then they will deal with our LORD GOD come judgment day.
My question would be to any juror who would consider allowing the officer who choke Mr. Floyd to death off with less than Manslaughter 2; and the three officers off with less than Accessory to Battery, is how many more brown skin people have to be lynched while not resisting arrest nor attempting harm to an officer, for you to see the wrong and NOT continue to be part of the issue within a corrupt system by letting people who commit acts of violence like these officers, walk away from their crimes and/or their participation in the crime? proving first-degree murder I think will be near impossible absent clear
evidence of premeditation. If pursued, it's highly unlikely to result in
a conviction. The best chance for a conviction is to stick with current
charges of depraved-indifference (third-degree) murder and
manslaughter. The other officers can and should be charged with being
accomplices to those charges.
Unless they current lawyers partner with Judge Glenda Hatchett who brought to the State of Minnesota the first police officer convicted in the state in the Philando Castile murder case.

But otherwise, if he were to walk for whatever reason, we end up with another Rodney King fiasco. Having seen what is happening across the country these past nights (not days), we are already well on our way to a repeat of the LA Riots. And a trial is still a long way off (let's see if he even makes it to trial). And now that the family has spoken and is demanding the death penalty (which they don't have in Minn.), tensions will only continue to rise. During a pandemic. They are looting and setting major shopping centers and the stores within (Apple, Nordstroms) on fire after they loot them. I just locked all the doors and windows but it is very, very scary. I was not living here in 1992 but I remember watching the Rodney King Riots on TV and friends who grew up here still talk about it. I now understand how frightening it is!

Derek Chauvin is an ex-marine. The police need to re-consider why they just routinely hire so many ex-military personnel even though many are overly aggressive and completely psychologically un-suited to the role as policemen. The US police forces should learn to treat all people will respect like most other police forces around the world.

The moment the officer heard him say "I can't breathe" was the moment it turned into 2nd degree murder. The other officers should be getting the same charges he has now as accessories. The death penalty is a stretch though.

The poin in first degree is they had plenty of time to cool down and change their minds but didn't. 2nd is extreme indifference to human life. That's the best we can hope for.
