One of the nice things about these videos is that we know you got back.
Gabriel I’m 70 with breathing limits, but you are doing everything I would have done when I was able! So Thank you for taking me along with you! These post take me to places I just can’t do on my own any longer.
god bless AMERICA
Somehow I got this eerie feeling that this will be Gabriel’s last hike because he’s going to get lost out there & eventually turn into Big Foot
I was worried about Gabriel too since last video, luckily this one was posted the next day so I didn't have to live in worry for long
😂😂
Another great video. After the last one, (cliff hanger!) whilst I was working, I kept checking to see if you had released another Gabriel... And this didn't disappoint ! These walking things are the best videos you make. We all feel we are with you, as it is just you , the camera and us. Thank you so much. 😊
Trinity Alps are so rocking amazing!
I like to rock to the Herman's Hermit's
dont tell traveler , but if he had climbed that peak above him , SILIGO PEAK , theres a short trail in between deer and summit lakes - - you can see the entire WHITE GRANITE TRINITIES - AND MOUNT SHASTA
As long as there isn't another Big Bar Fire.
Absolutely beautiful, thank you for sharing this.
Love these wilderness adventures!!
Another wonderful wilderness video. I could honestly watch an entire channel of these 😉
Big G. You mean the world to me. Very sweet.
Nice one! I love walking around in the mountains.
Happy to hear, that you stepped back into the light, brother !!
Looks like a neat place Gabriel. Thanks for the video.
wow stunning. What a great thing to do! Thanks so much for sharing this adventure
Bear: "Hey Gabriel. Yeah, come on through (Wink)."
Interesting. I don't think of California as wilderness, I think of LA and big city life and surfing haha looking forward to future adventures
Most of California is wilderness and nearly empty
@@patrickw123 makes sense. I lived there for two years and never left LA haha
The State of California is larger by area, but less than half in population, than Germany.
@@tombuddy100thx buddy
We don't tell anyone about this part.
Spectacular!
What I like about backpacking is that I push time out of my mind and basically I am free. The Deer Creek Pass area is very charming, with a lake and mountains with snowfields.Enjoy that freedom,in the arms of the wilderness,in health and well-being👍
Hi Gabriel. These videos brought to mind a cool song I heard back in the 60's. It is THERE IS A MOUNTAIN by Donovan. I'm sure your mom and dad would remember it. I really enjoyed this series of videos of this stunningly beautiful area of CA.
I know Gabriel, You are Brave Full of Wisdom & Knowledge! You Thought us Geography, Landscape, and so on!
Beautiful! I did a 60 mile hike with my boyfriend in the 80s but just south of the Mt. Whitney area... We hiked a loop and went up and over New Army Pass (wowza, a real muscle burner that one) and stayed a few days at Rock Creek Lake. Stunning views and I blew up some of the photos I took on that trip and they hung on my walls for decades...
You are so lucky....you are free to be free....❤
🙂❤👍Thank You Gabriel 🙂❤👍Safe Travels🙂Beautiful Scenery 👍
Beautiful!
Gabe, you look like Moses climbing his mountain to chisel his tablet.
Loved the video.
hes budhhist you dope
Jumped right into that Lake. Quite the spot out there. I liked that area frim the train. It seemed like a great place to return, so I live vicariously via Gabriel's video work here.
Some animal took liking to your wrap, and then completly shreded it. Don’t like to imagine what it would have done to a human. Great video Gabriel. 🍻
Wow,that part of California is stunningly pretty. It reminds me of the Pyrenees.
Thanks Gabriel for this amazing video. Alot of work holding your camera whilst trekking up the steep slopes.
I loved watching this video but there is no way on earth that I would camp out there by myself!
Hey bear...
Gabriel Superstar.
Craig the warning bears guy in internet land here;) The can of chilli?
Hey bear coming through...
Right on. Cali Alps rock!
Camping, with cocky deer past the bee tree atop deer lake. Snakes, Butterfly's every reason you mention is of huge value, the peace.
Ooh, I hiked the Kauai trail fall of 2021
Super cool to see the contrast between the whole world; and hidden gems like the Trinity Alps California.
Good good video, great watch
Thanks for these!
West Virginia, esp this time of year, has alot of subject matter worth exploring. I don't recall you ever publishing anything from WV, but places like Dolly Sods, New River Gorge, Snowshoe, Greenbrier River, Blackwater Falls, Thomas / Davis / Canaan also have alot to offer. Happy to help if you have any questions, etc.
Nice one 👍Thanks for sharing and take care 😁
I love your hikes. They're so real. I love your sarong. Lakes too ice cold, for me.
This whole sarong deal is weird
i'm pretty sure those sarongs ARE CROTCHLESS
@@RexHimmer SARONGS ARE OK -- BUT -- NO POCKETS !! 😆😆😆😆😆😆
@@thrivingnow7843 I'm confused. A sheep ate the sarong before it was laundered? 😲
@@RexHimmer BAH BAH BAH -- ITS LONELY UP AT DEER LAKE
Hi Gabriel, Wow! that was intense what a hike but the destanation was well worth it. Spectular views it's a shame the battery life was gone on the camera you may have traveled further out to granite lake there are so many beatiful ares around that part of the country just unreal.
How beautiful 😊❤😎☀️
This nature series has been an absolute joy to watch, Just beautiful. You must have a great sense of achievement after that hike. Well done! You were around the same level of elevation as Mt Kosciuszko (Australia’s highest mountain) at around 7,300 ft. Thank you for showing the beautiful nature, lakes and mountains in this gorgeous part of Northern California. ❤✨✌️😊
Some day I’m going to try like a 2-3 day hike with a really small backpack and just dry food and a super light tent/mattress. No extra clothes, no liquids(I’ll water from lakes/creeks), no random stuff etc. Should be doable, right?
Definitely doable but depends on various conditions including how cold it's likely to get. You could bring a tarp that you can tie up to trees instead of a tent, in case it rains. I got all my water from creeks and the lake, having some sort of water purifier is advised but not necessarily necessary, the water in those high mountains is probably clean.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos thanks for answering champ :)
Man, these mountains are gorgeous!! 😮
My gosh, CA has everything.........stunning landscapes.
Wow!!!! that was a great hike. I did worry though. Take Care
Beautiful summer of far away out there
Wow, what a fantastic spot!
What a beautiful lake and mountain area 😊
I'm heading to Santa Fe, NM, tomorrow, which is about at the same altitude. It is hot AF here in DC and I am looking forward to a break.
Good luck, it will be 90 with humidity there and rain for a week and a half.....I guess the rain will be relief.
If you’re up for a road trip go and do the Alice-Toxaway loop in Idaho. No grizzlies; just black bears (not that many in the area); and extremely pretty views.
The lake is beyond amazing 24:42
I've seen you hike in various places like Greece, but this hike is at another level. I've always wanted to get more proficient at hiking, but I have a fear of getting lost in the wilderness.
Hi I love your videos. This one was epic! I was wondering if there are ticks there or is it too cold? Thank you for your wanderings & ciao from Italy!
Great place. Just added to list. Thanks
ITS CLOSED 4 BUSINESS -- LARGE FOREST FIRES -- STAY HOME
Love is part of California. Mostly unknown to most people.
Where’d you get that walking stick??
At a camping store in Portland called Next Adventure.
Wonderful views and great to watch video after waking up at 2:00 am on my third day of jet lag in Warsaw from USA. I thought….wonder what Gabriel is up too. Amazing. I know the area.
Off subject but question: you never really complain about jet lag on your overseas trips. any suggestions on how to get the internal clock reset.
A long time viewer 😊
Jet lag hits me too, I talked about it in this video: ruclips.net/video/oEFI4SPLmho/видео.html I've never found a simple solution, just try your best to go to sleep and wake up at normal times and eventually it will happen. Sometimes it takes a while though. Have a great time in Poland. I haven't been to Warsaw yet, but Krakow is amazing.
Great hiking adventure and thank you for capturing as much as possible with the different filming devices. When was the last time you did a travel video from your native Canada?
This was the last video I made in Canada, at the beginning of the pandemic: ruclips.net/video/hwWnz3VQ3sA/видео.html
I have no idea how deep that water looked from where you dived, but it seemed hella risky to just dive in head first like that whilst totally alone out there. But of course I’m sure you assessed the risk before doing it.
The water was crystal clear so I could see the depth perfectly.
Wild Deer Shredding Sarong Fest? My gawd?!? BTW - 11 people died in Oregon last week during the heatwave.
NOW I KNOW WHAT A SARONG IS 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
What the deer did to the sarong is so wrong.
California is better than Switzerland 😍
🌊 to 🏔️ & 🌲 ❤
Great
I wish you would visit some other areas in the US other than your home state.
thankyou😅
Great video . Actually a British Doctor Dr Mosley died of heat exhaustion in one of the Greek islands a couple of weeks ago . He just went on walk by himself disappeared and one of locals found a body in water . He used come and tv talk about how live a healthy life and much interested in diets and fasting .
That water we call (zamzam) water⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
DEAR MR TRAVELER -- I DARE YOU TO WEAR THAT SARONG IN DOWNTOWN REDDING -- I DOUBLE DARE YOU 😄😄😄😄😄😄
Hahaha, you didn’t see it but a bear and a deer fought over your sarong 😂
❤
Who knew that deer eat textiles?
THE WORST SCENARIO IS WHEN THE DEER TAKE YOUR HIKING BOOTS -- IT HAPPENED TO ME AT LOWER CANYON CREEK LAKE -- I FOUND THE BOOTS NEARBY
Sheep go crazy for salt too, btw. 🐑
Most Excellent views .. thanks Mr. Morris. For Sharing this, and All your Tr travels Gabriel Traveler...BRAVO - Tom approves...
Never heard of that area of California before looks interesting. Also was wondering what your thoughts are on greenland?
I'd love to visit Greenland.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos maybe you will get to visit there who knows
YES IT IS SO SAD THAT PEOPLE COME ON HOLLIDAYS AND THEY DIE WHILE WALKING IN PATHS OR WHILE SWIMMING ....
In Greece they're dropping like flies
@@RexHimmer YES IT S TRUE ....
Magnificent! Great views of the mountains and lakes. Read all of Louis L'Amour books and this video shows scenery as he would describe it. As always your enthusiasm and enjoyment increases the experience. Thank you!
Wow getting away from humans and modern civilization, love it, does your mother not get worried when you turn off your phone?
😊❤🇧🇦
👍👍👍
Never heard of American Alps, maybe they should do as Europeans and build some gondolas and nice hotel and restaurant so that more people can enjoy it? Switzerland is SOOOO developed in that regard. Or is rugged wilderness better?
It's good that this area isn't developed, the Sierra Nevada mountains and Lake Tahoe, a few hours away in California are much more developed, lots more tourists there and everything that goes along with it, hotels, restaurants, ski resorts, etc.
Can you do such stuff in the Caucasus Mountains for example in Svaneti or Tusheti ?
He has in Georgia!
I'm not sure if it has the same large areas of pure wilderness, but there's certainly some good hiking in the mountains there: ruclips.net/video/HsBNqtKQP0Q/видео.html
What beautiful scenery on your wild hike. Loved the piece about the night time snorting near your tent. I pretended you saw no other tents on your expedition - more remote and exciting
Yes, Chechnya is very hospitable
@@RexHimmer did I say Chechnya ? Read my comment again.
Seems strange a deer would chew up something like that ¿ Big foot ?
That definitely makes more sense.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos beautiful area. Thanks 😊
One of your best videos yet!
😎😎😎
That looks like bear territory.
Don't you have a map and a compass ?
Map yes, compass really not needed for such a short hike. That wouldn't have helped at all with the disappeared trail, just needed to find the trail.
i have a compass in my randall model 18 , 7 1/2 "
first!
Boom, got it.
Quite a change in the channel style. Feels more personal now to me for some reason. A few years time we may see Mr. Morris in a space travel. For another change
Not first
That really sux Hoskins
Hi there!
Yo. ✌️
1st!!!
Second. ✌️
1st again : )
Third.
IT AMAZES ME TO THIS DAY THAT PEOPLE STILL BELIEVE BEARS CAN UNDERSTAND ENGLISH. 😂L😂O😂L😂 I DON'T THINK A BEAR SHREDDED YOUR SARONG. I'M THINKING MORE LIKELY BOBCAT. DEER LAKE SHOULD BE RENAMED DEER POND. 😂
P.S. THE BEAR THING WAS A JOKE. I KNOW WHY IT'S DONE.
🙂🙂🙂🙂 actually mr traveler is smarter than he looks -- he escaped the global warming heat wave by HIGH TAILING IT BACK TO FOGGY ARCATA 😌😌say hi to my friends in the PLAZA 😅😅😅😅😅😅
U.S.F.S. REGULATION -- SARONGS CANNOT BE MORE THAN 3 INCHES ABOVE THE KNEE .
great video, just a note the cap{hat} your wearing does not cover your ears, i did the same thing but am paying for it now, i got skin cancer on the top of my ears which i had to get treated, so wear a hat that shades the ears and neck, love your videos.
No orientation training at all , good luck gabriel
Orientation training?
@@GabrielTravelerVideos sexual orientation -- sarong optional
@@GabrielTravelerVideos as in map reading , navigating , stuff like that
@@M.R.T.V.Videos Maybe so, I just wanted to clarify what specific training he was referring to, whether related to backpacking, bears, fires or something else. I don't think Dale is new to the channel, seems like he would know that I've been doing this for decades. I first started backpacking with my family in the '80s, learned to read a topo map and how to camp and backpack in the wilderness, did a guided three week backpacking and rock climbing course in the Sierras with instructors when I was seventeen, been on many dozens of solo backpacking trips, worked in Denali National Park and Jasper National Park, where there are of course many bears, etc., etc.
OH THIS SUCKS
Hey fella I don't think you can use The Big Hurt's likeness 🤔
I don't like this style of travel or video! He's supposed to be an international world traveler. Couldn't make it beyond the 10 minutes mark!
