  • Took my Kodak No. 2 Folding Pocket Brownie, model B out for a spin this weekend.
    Made approx 1907 with it's iconic red bellows made from allegedly seal skin this 6x9 camera is very basic to use.
    This one doesn't have the lens in the viewfinder so it's vert tricky to line up a composition but I can use a viewfinder app on my phone to help a bit.
    Had to do some repairs last week after discovering horrific light leaks but seem to have fixed that.
    Hope you enjoy.

    Thank you so much for making this video! I absolutely love this camera. I bought two after watching this video. Can't wait to shoot them! What a elegant piece of history.

    Some nice shots there, not too shabby for an old camera. Good to see you back in channel

    Just picked up a 1903 model from a charity shop this morning. It still has its wooden take up spool 😮. Look forward to using it. Great video

    I recently purchased one of these, but when I draw out the bellows, there's no "click". Not sure if I'm missing a latch. What should be there, connecting the bellows to the rail?

      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  6 месяцев назад +1

      It doesn't really click...it just stops when it hits the focus marker next to the lens as you pull it out

      @@GraemeSimpsonPhotography Wish I could show you a picture of mine, because I'm certain there's just something missing. I have a No. 4 Cartridge Kodak that I work with, and there's a sort of friction stop that you can toggle when you're at the right part, but I don't see any way of getting this to be in the right place.

    Photos didn’t turn out in colour then?

      Not when I shot black and white film

      @@GraemeSimpsonPhotography can these cameras do colour photos though?
      I don’t know much about old cameras but I’ve started buying some

    • @GraemeSimpsonPhotography
      @GraemeSimpsonPhotography  5 месяцев назад

      @@Yearsgonebye absolutely they can. Some will render colours slightly different (only slightly) due to the age of the lens, the coatings (or lack of) but it won't stop them shooting colour and black and white film
