Once again, another great video. I found that with the basic default scheduler, (which was scx_bpfland), I was getting sound pops in games like Ghost of Tsushima. When I tried rusty, the issue went away. Keep up the great work. You have really helped me understand how CachyOS is one of the best Arch Linux distros out there with all their performance tweaks available. I love the Arch distros, but CachyOS is great to get a very performance-enhanced Arch install out of the box without too much manual configuration needed. This has helped me get Ghost of Tsushima running at 1080p with 60 fps on my lowly GTX-1660 in Wayland.
@@karnimux For some reason, it wasn't for me. I had to set rusty as the default. Not sure why that is. Maybe at some point, I modified it to bpfland but I don't ever remember going through all the steps I did to change it from bpfland to rusty. In any case, sound stuttering is gone now. And I'm getting a nice 60 fps on my GTX-1660 for Ghost of Tsushima now. Yes, I have to use FSR 3, but hey, at least I'm getting stable framerates now at balanced mode and it looks nice still. 😀

Unpopular opinion : The default distro kernel does the job in 99% of the cases. The rest is on the edge optimizations for benchmarks or making some game from unplayable to barely playable in very weak machines
Disagree. GNU/Linux is a server OS first and it's just now starting to take desktop workflows seriously. The kernel wasn't originally intended for the things people are trying to do desktop-client side right now, as again, it's a server OS from the 80's. These newer kernels exist to be optimize for desktop workflows specifically
@@Afurai_ The default desktop kernels are already set with sane desktop defaults. The custom kernels are optimizations. You can have some light gains, but it will not transform a snail into a royal eagle
