Mine, it didn't. I tried doing it but the sound remains an issue, at every startup the sound was muted after doing any methods if anything doesn't work. It was repaired 3 weeks ago resulted from overheating. 3 years ago, there's no issue with the audio as long as I can watch videos, or listen to music, but now I can't. When I play video, or music, the audio doesn't hear. Those methods really didn't work for me and I have to post it on the Microsoft community if ever I have encountered an issue.

point: system restore doesn't work for me and I can't do it because it lists: no restore point was created on the computer's system drive to create a point, open protection. After clicking "System Protection" and enabling it, I still can't click "Next", what should I do now?
Try to recover your pc, I just did it and now I have a brand new pc. Must have product key.
Everytime I switch to "high definition audio device" and restart, it automatically reverts back to the Realtek driver. It's so frustrating. I've done everything possible and cannot get rid of the Realtek driver 😡
Hey, I had the same issue as you. I finally fixed it by deleting the whole Realtek driver via devicemanager. After that I downloaded the same driver via Google. After restarting it was fixed. Hope it will also work for you.
@@gwnfulya17 I tried this and unfortunately it still doesn't work. What's weird is I bought my laptop about 2 months ago and was able to switch to the "high definition audio device" in the device manager, but now I don't even have the option. My only option is realtek. If I delete the Realtek it just comes back when I restart. Fortunately I haven't had any issues lately so I'll stick with realtek for now
@@Laptops1781 ahw sorry to hear that. I read somewhere about installing windows 11 again would fix. Go to settings - reset and install windows 11 via the cloud. You can try this also

@@FlyinMus kind of. I can install the high definition audio driver in the device manager, but it's not a "digitally signed" driver, and says it's not compatible with my laptop. However I've never had any issues when installing it. I go back and forth between that and the Realtek driver. The Realtek driver actually gives me more options with USB inputs and microphones etc.
