Everything you said is what I really want to see. I want to see Darth Pelagius and his time as the Sith Master and developing his techniques of creating life. I think in a sense this show was leading to that. There were some really good stories, but the execution was poor.
Hopefully we can move on into that story soon!
While I do agree that we need something with Darth Plagueis as the main character, I think it would be best if he was done in animation. The thing is Star Wars live action shows are at their best when they're focused on a smaller scale, with a smaller budget. The Acolyte was too ambitious for a live action Star Wars show that was never going to interest anyone outside of the Star Wars fanbase, and even then, there was a very small group who did enjoy the show, despite its flaws. This is the reason that George chose to go with animation when he moved Star Wars to TV in the 2000s with the Gendy Tartakovsky Clone Wars series, and then the 2008 show. Live action is too limiting when it comes to telling epic stories on TV. It always has been. So that's why I think an animated Darth Plagueis show would work best, if you want to go the route of having a prequel to The Acolyte, or something that better connects Plagueis to the events of that show. An adaptation of the Darth Plagueis novel could work in live action, but maybe as a movie trilogy, where the budget can be big enough that it'd be epic, but not so big that the movies will still make enough for the studio to deem them successful.
All good points. I do think a huge audience is interested in Darth Plagueis and the lead up to the Prequels. It’s evident by The Acolyte’s excellent starting numbers. It’s really more of a testament to the quality of the series that the viewership dropped off imo. While I do always appreciate and want more animated Star Wars, I personally would love to see this story told in live action. Especially now that we have a live action Plagueis model. I appreciate your perspective though.

Thank god they would of ruined the character. The fact that he was this monster in the shadows instead of the artful and calculated teacher of palpatine. They cartooned him in acolyte
I too was worried about having Plagueis involved directly with the storytelling of The Acolyte. That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t be incredibly excited for a fresh creative team/story to take him on though.
