this entire masterpiece is seriously one of the absolute most amazing things i've ever heard in my life... first off, Czerny really prooved HIMSELF here as far as composing goes, Chopin brought a tear to my eye and it was just beyond words beautiful, and Liszt is just too beastly for anyone to touch! Ah, I could just go on for ever about this!
Horowitz at his absolute best. Phenominal playing.
The brilliance, the technical prowess, the tempi! Horowitz is untouchable.
I wonder why such a wonderful interpretation is scarcely known to the public.
This is almost unreal in its magnificence - Bravo Vladimir.
this is absolutely priceless--thank you so much for posting!
This is absolutely incredible playing. I am an enormous fan of Horowitz.
We don't get to hear much of Horowitz in his absolute prime and I think I know why. After hearing this kind of playing most other pianists would shut up shop. It's just so much better than anybody else could manage. My opinion FWIW.
I will play this one day.
what an amazing gift to the world! Horowitz was my favourite interpreter of the 20th century... This interpretation of the Hexameron only strengthens my love for his talent RIP
Wow...knew he performed ..never knew he recorded. .definitely his style
It's for me best:Great !!
Esmeralda Morales you Horowitz fans lol
I have to admit after taking a few minutes to listen...this is the best performance ever of this piece...in his heyday no one could touch Vladimir Horowitz. .
No words have been invented yet...
I like Czerny's the most.
This is amazing piano playing.
This is absolutely incredible !!!
Esta execução beira o absurdo de tão impressionante!!
Incredible!!!
Listen to this... while playing it on your desk, whilst watching your hands in a reflection... Jesus... Im good!
thanks for sharing this treasure
2.23 liszt counts in the new age of piano music !!!
100% correct
yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
Uhhhh...was that LOUD enough?? I don't know...Liszt maked the finale strepitoso...sempre più crescendo and finally ffff. This might have been only three Fs.
@LittleArgerich Chopin's variation was the only variation. ;)
@cattleman6420012000 What about liszt? :)
Anyone hear a broken string at about 8:23?
after watching the version with the sheet music many times, this seems way too fast :O
--- But Richter also would have played like this if he had gone to Hollywood early on.
horowitz did set musical standards who are not reached by others. this here is one of his most important recordings.
and it isn t this recording which is the most known.....
here is a proof that richter wasn t the greatest pianist. horowitz was just better as his interpretations were even more intelligent than richters. nevertheless I love richter too....
