- Thorne’s lawyer Jonathan warns him that his family and his company will suffer when the truth about Brooke comes out. Sally tries to prevent Thorne from serving Macy with divorce papers. After steeling herself with a drink, Macy begs Brooke not to take Thorne away. Thorne makes a decision to defuse the situation for everyone involved.

Macy calling Brooke's relationship with Thorne "a stage" (at 7:05) is interesting, both because she's right that it's just a transitory moment in time and the relationship won't last, and also because _a stage_ can also mean _an acting performance_ so Macy is saying that Brooke is acting the part of a great romance rather than actually feeling it.

Yes, Brooke needed something to occupy her time at that moment. She would have been too busy flipping thru trying to find her picture in the "most beautiful" column to even pay attention to Thorne and Macy...
That moment at 1:21 when Macy left the house and walked out into the sunlight, I could actually _feel_ her headache. Very convincingly done.
It was really well done. I suffer from migraines on occasion, and that look on her face - sudden, stabbing pain crossed with a surge of nausea - is exactly what how the look on her face feels.

Trying to reason with Macy in this state of upset is futile. Even though Macy is making a lot of sense about the situation. Thorne and Brooke’s lack of understanding is appalling under the circumstances. 😮
Thorne will live to regret this decision. While Brooke will spiral into more bad decisions and destructive behavior. 😟

Macy was spot on. Just look at what happens a year from then in summer 2001, Brooke chases after Ridge again like a hungry vulture.

"Highly absurd" doesn't even begin to describe Thorne and Brooke.
And thanks for reminding Thorne that he has an actual history with Macy, and basically being as confused as the rest of us that he'd choose Brooke over Macy.
Jonathan always had to advise the Forrester men that their divorce could be a scandal LOL. First Eric with Sheila and now Thorne with Macy.
Macy was supposed to be his best friend throughout the years as well as his wife. That's what is even more hurtful.
Jonathan tried to talk some sense into him, but then again, Thorne is oblivious with regards to the one and only Brooke Logan

I don't think she ever acknowledged that Macy was right all along. Thorne will though.
No she didn’t, she never gave a damn about how she made Thorne give up Macy for nothing and wasn’t even able to take it back, and she never gave a damn about Taylor when she started chasing Ridge more than ever

No. And in macy comes back from the dead. She runs into brooke in the cafe and brooke tries to tell macy how awful her life has been. At that point brooke and thinre were over. She had chased after ridge. She had slept with decin and had hope. Bridgette had found out about the affair. Taylor had passed away again....and brooke had her hooks in Ridge.....

While Macy talk from deep within her heart and you can clearly see her pain Brooke shows no human emotion at all…🥶🥶🥶
And what’s crazy is despite all the damage she’s caused without taking any accountability, she somehow STILL has fans that actually defend her
How is Brooke not a villain?
She is in my book. Could never stand her! She destroyed so many relationships and yet fans still love her character.
@@DestinyPifer everyone has their favorites. The most problematic of characters have fans & haters lool. They make soaps what it is. I just don’t get why the show kept trying to sell Brooke as a heroine 💀she barely has any redeeming qualites.
Seeing Brooke all happy in the beginning of this episode, and then Macy completely devastated, I can't see Brooke as anything _but_ the villain in this storyline.

But he could have avoided showing them Macy in front of Brooke...
Macy is in Cassandra mode again. She is completely right when she tells Brooke that this relationship is only a passing phase. But nobody believes her, not even the show's unreliable narrative. It will take another year before Macy is proven right.
And even though she is drunk, she _immediately_ picks up on Brooke using the same phrase that Thorne used when he asked for the divorce - that Thorne doesn't love Macy "the way a husband should love his wife" - and correctly draws the conclusion that these words originally came _from Brooke._
Sally says Becky died "last night". So that means CJ lost his wife yesterday, and today he will lose his sister. 😭

Brooke is a disgusting character. It must have been exasperating for Jonathan working for the Forresters. The Forrester men were stupid when it came to Brooke and Donna.
I don’t get it. The worse Kimberly looks the more I like her character 🤔
Brooke never cared about people she hurt only herself no wonder her children get it back from what all she’s done
Thorne "owes " Macy the humiliation of giving her the divorce papers in person. Such a vile human being🙄.
